Still injured with a mysterious ailment stemming from his separation into his elemental form, Tolan knows he must protect Terndahl before the elementals attack. After years spent teaching others the elementals were no danger, he fears the repercussions of changing course.
After an attack on the Academy and then losing an ally, Tolan has no choice but to bring the fight to the Lands Beyond. The key to reaching it is buried in a secret the ancient shapers never passed on, but it's one Tolan thinks he can decipher.
Even reaching those lands is challenging, but once there, he needs new allies and must find the help they need before the elementals attack. If they fail, the barriers separating his land from those Beyond will fall, and all he cares about will be in danger.
When even an elemental warrior might not be enough, Tolan must find the elemental nature within him.
I enjoyed the storyline a great deal. Disappointment came in two ways. The first was in the constant repeating of the lines throughout the books. The second was the editing. Spellings and missing or incorrect words were continually missed leaving me to figure out what the author wanted to say.
This was the third book in the series. It was interesting and once I got into it it was a fast read. I wanted to find out what happens to Tolin. Who is the main character.
This series has kept me enthralled. Tolan,s story may be done for now but there may be more later. If you were one of those that reads the reviews before you settle on a series, trust me this is a very good series to get into. Enjoy
Story has amazing twist in it’s progression. All things change & grow. Tolan is indirectly led thru change. While those around him are forced to change.
