The boy, the dog, the mystery!
Life in Last Chance Gulch has never been easy for 10-year-old Charlie Fogalman...not with a teacher who just might be a Russian spy, not with Fletcher Stickney, the biggest and meanest bully on the planet. But when Charlie changes into a dog during a magic spell gone bad, things take a turn for the worse. His previous life wasn't easy, but at least he was human.
Will Charlie ever walk on two legs again?
From the author of the Melvin Beederman Superhero series and for fans of Dav Pilkey and Aaron Blabey comes another hilarious adventure for readers 7 and up.
Greg Trine is the author of the Melvin Beederman, Superhero books for children, which he creates with his illustrator sidekick, Rhode Montijo. He is also the author of the young adult book, The Second Base Club. He lives with his family in his Southern California hideout.
What if some magic trick turned you into a dog instead? That’s what happened to poor 5th grader Charlie. Now he was stuck living a dog’s life.
He and his friends will have to figure out how to change him back…or he’ll be a dog forever. In the meantime, Charlie will need to learn the ropes at living like a stray dog. He sure needs to “ruff it.”
Story gives a great, diary narrative of life as a dog. Full of tricks, fun, and laughter.
A very fun and funny middle grade read. 5th grader Charlie is accidently changed into a dog! What is it like to have "A dogs life?" He truly had to "ruff it!" Eating garbage. Smelling like a wet dog. Running from the dog catcher. Sniffing fire hydrants. Very imaginative and entertaining! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book from Hidden Gems.
