Dr. Steve Shadrach has a passion for developing laborers for Christ to reach the world. He has been involved with Campus Crusade, The Navs, and as head counselor with Kanakuk Kamps. He served as Pastor of Students and Missions at University Baptist Church in Fayetteville, AR. He is the founder of Student Mobilization, which focuses on evangelizing and discipling college students in the U.S. and abroad, The Traveling Team, and The Bodybuilders ministry, seeking to "build up the body of Christ" through the development of seminars and publications.

The Fuel and The Flame is an expansive book rooted in scripture with the world as its vision. However the focus is first on the internal, how the be one who leads souls to Christ, then to the external on practical application of all Steve Shadrach teaches. Throughout the book, the fervor of many men and women who took hold of such an amazing calling are referenced as their testimonies are told through anecdotes and quotes, which give hope and confidence that God can use as well. Personally, this book played a pivotal role during highschool where I yearned to lead others to Christ on a bigger scale, allowing me to be prepared for most of the challenges that such a task would bring. You just have to be the fuel that God’s all consuming fire will ignite!

I like the newer book a little bit better however this was still a good book with helpful information.
