I’m not the girl everyone thinks I am. I hide my insecurities and keep my secrets buried deep, but I’ve been pretending for so long that I barely recognize myself. Tired of the facade, I decide to reclaim what my past stole from me. Hooking up with the sexy stranger from my brother’s bar is reckless, but playing it safe has never done me any favors. One hot night of explosive chemistry leads to the last thing I ever expected. Two little pink lines. The worst part? I don’t even know his name.
Moving to Blackwood was supposed to be a fresh start.
Life has a way of letting me down. I pack up and move to a new state to escape the bad memories. I’m not looking for romance, but a chance encounter with an undeniably gorgeous girl changes my priorities in a big way. We share a single incredible night together and I’m left wanting more. The problem? Even in this small town...I can’t seem to find her.
When Camille Sterling and Ryan Alexander finally find each other, they get the surprise of their lives.
Singularity is the second book in the Stars Align series and can be read as a stand-alone.
Author of emotionally-gripping, contemporary romance, Kate Stacy’s novels feature sassy heroines, swoony heroes, life, love, friendship, and all the angst. When she’s not writing or spending time with her family and friends in small-town North Carolina, Kate can most likely be found nose deep in her Kindle. She stays up too late, swears too much, and loves too hard.
Book 2 in the Stars Align series which could be read as a standalone. Loved Ryan and Camille. They share a hot one-night stand and that was supposed to be it but fate had other plans. He didn’t think he was going to see her again until he pulled over a speeding car and it was her. Loved the chemistry and attraction that was between them. They had an intense pull that was too hard to fight. Their story will have you laughing, crying, and falling in love right along with them. You will be taken on an emotional rollercoaster ride and all I can say is you better hold on tight. It will be worth it when you are finished with the story. Highly recommend it and I can’t wait to read more from this series and this author.
I read an early review copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Kate Stacy writes books that keep the reader on an emotional tightrope of angst and relieved love. As in life, her characters have past or current challenging circumstances, and as we are creatures of behaviour learned through good or bad experiences, we will often over-react when vulnerable. Communication is key.
This is Camille and Ryan’s stand-a-lone story. I have read other books from Ms Stacy, and while the characters are interconnected, it won’t alter the flow of this story.
Theirs was an unconventional relationship, done pretty much in the reverse order. Babies, getting to know each other, then moving in, all on an accelerated time table, complete with family, emotional baggage, and a stalker.
Camille, one of three identical triplets is hiding a past event, and the meeting of her and Ryan on the night that she decided to break free of her demons is full on hot, hot, hot intensely written chemistry. Holy hell! Ryan himself couldn’t believe it, and Camille didn’t understand at the time just how special that was to him. Learned behaviour remember.
Kate Stacy will have you falling in love with Ryan and his feisty daughter, and the family who also moves into town with him. If you love a small-town police officer in uniform, that will certainly add to the attraction. These are great guys, and Ryan’s protectiveness certainly kicks up a gear when Camille starts getting unwanted attention.
This is such an amazing and beautifully romantic read and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves this trope. 4.5 Stars. 🌟
This was really good, This book gives us the story of Camille and Ryan. Camille has a dark past but doesn’t let anyone close to her see how vulnerable she is.
Ryan also has a complicated past, but raising his daughter is the most important thing until he meet the women who would turn his world upside down.
One night brings these two together and life as they know it will never be the same. Ryan cant stop thinking about this mysterious women he met and. Camille wishes she got name of the man who rocked her world.
Shocking surprises and misunderstandings and a lot of family involvements with tumultuous has Camille and Ryan Riding the waves if this new journey.
Again great book had me smiling, laughing and even brought a few tears, I enjoyed the reading the development of Ryan and Camilles relationship.
The story of Ryan and Camille is a fantastic one, hot and exciting right from the start. Ryan is the type a guy a girl dreams about, even with his struggles, and his adoration of the women in his life is swoon worthy. And the trials of Camille are totally relatable and tug at your heart. Both characters have a past that affects their present, and I found myself rooting for them both from the get go.
All of the Stars Align books have been really engaging so far. The writing is easy to follow and real, and the stories suck you in and hold you there until the end. And just like other Kate Stacy books, I didn't want to put this one down. I love how the writing of Kate Stacy makes you experience all of the emotions in full color, so to speak. I see parts of my own life in all the main characters of her books, and I love that.
Both characters have past issues - one has been dealt with by family support; the other chose to bury it and hide from it for years. This is a familiar baby, love and marriage troupe with a little bit of suspense thrown in. Overall, it was good, kept my attention but I was not enthralled, possibly because it was a second in a series about sisters. A standalone but still part of a bigger picture. Characters were well developed, nothing was really an issue, it just did not really grab me and hang on for dear life. I would recommend it but would recommend it be read in order.

This was my first read from Kate Stacy and she is now one of my favorite authors. This book is very well written and is a wonderful read. This is a steamy, small town romance that will keep you turning the pages. The characters draw you in and capture your heart. This is a sweet, insta-love romance that has drama, trauma, twists, violence and will have you on an emotional rollercoaster ride. I couldn’t put this book down. I can’t wait to read more books by this author.

Camille has never had the chance to experience a one-night stand. There is just too much in her past that tells her not to. But then he shows up in the bar, instant chemistry, and hot sex. But the sexy stranger is Ryan a new officer for the police force. Things cannot get any more awkward? “Hands off my sister, officer.” Is by far my favorite line in the book. Died laughing with the context. This is a tale that I truly love, sometimes our past makes it hard to move forward. Other times it comes back to haunt us. Can both of them find the HEA?
This is the second book in the series though it does focus on a new couple Camille and Ryan they are characters you meet in the first book (and the first book Supernova was awesome). This book will have you riding a rollercoaster of emotions I laughed, got mad, cried my eyes out, and felt my heart melt. The author is amazing at creating stories that capture you and pull you in from the very beginning and you don't want it to end. One of my favorite new authors!!

Kate Stacy did a great job on Singularity, the plot was written well, it was filled with many emotions. Camille and Ryan were strong characters, both have been through a lot in their lives. Their journey wasn't an easy one but they were good for each other, they had a strong connection and chemistry. They were good together. I enjoyed this story, looking forward to reading more. Thank you, Kate Stacy. Great work :)
I recently discovered this author when I read Until Lexi and I have to say I am completely blown away with her. I loved Until Lexi and since it mentioned some characters I was really intrigued about their stories. So I picked up Singularity and Oh My God! It was absolutely amazing! Loved every single thing about it. So not going to stop here.. I kind of want to read everything she has written now. Next stop is Scintillation! Can't wait!
This is my first book by Kate Stacy and will not be my last.
Singularity - One hot night that ends in an unplanned pregnancy. It was only ever meant to be one night, no names no regrets.
Ryan can't stop thinking about his night with a mystery lady with Blue hair, But has no way of contacting her, Move forward a couple of months and Ryan moves to the small town of Blackwood, Ryan thinks he's found Camille but she doesn't recognise him when in fact it's her very pregnant sister. Camille does run in to Ryan when she gets pulled over for speeding, and they start a relationship, but can love survive the pressures of her unexpected past coming back to haunt her or will something else cause the pair to part ways, make sure you have plenty of tissue on hand..... This book is a page turner. Talk about intensity, angst and hot chemistry rolled into one. A very well written story with swoon worthy lead male.
I don’t usually read contemporary romances, but I was looking for something different when I found this author and randomly picked this book. I’m glad I did because it was well written and well worth the time. What a dreamy hero! And the story included issues that warrant more awareness. Treat yourself, enjoy 👍👍👍💜
OMG, what a story, it starts out so hot, then gives you the full roller coaster of emotions, I laughed and cried along with Camille & Ryan, forging a beautiful family while dealing with the demons of their pasts, loved it!!
Wow, just wow. This book is so much more than just a romance. Don’t get me wrong, there is romance and steam but there is also so much more. This story is exciting and heartbreaking at the same time.
Singularity is the second book in the Stars Align series and can be read as a stand-alone, was hooked straight away, couldn't put it down this is a great contemporary romance read

They just keep getting better. The second of the series and it better than the first. I was sucked into the story and it felt almost real as if I was actually there. Author is amazing and I can't wait to read the final book in the series.
Gah! This book did NOT disappoint! I absolutely loved Ryan and Camille and they’d story kept me wanting more the entire time. What started out as a one night stand turned into something so much more.
