As a triplet, I often feel invisible, overshadowed. There's a constant war inside my head, a little voice telling me that there’s nothing special about me. Yet, I yearn to be seen. Despite my anxiety and insecurities, I want to step out of the shadows. But I have a secret, and scars I never wanted anyone to see. With no other choice, I seek help from the one man I want but try to avoid. Adam Pierce is the only one who can hide my scars. He hates me, and I don’t know why.
I feel like I’m missing a piece of myself.
After learning the truth about my paternity, finding my family should be my first priority. But I’m too distracted by the one woman I shouldn’t want. Presley Sterling thinks no one sees her, but I do. She’s the only thing I can see and I hate it. I think she’s a spoiled princess who thinks she's better than everyone. I don’t understand my attraction to her. She may be gorgeous, but beauty is only skin deep. The day she walks into my tattoo shop, I discover the truth. Uncovering her secrets changes everything I thought I knew.
There’s a thin line between love and hate, but somewhere along the way, the line between us blurs.
Scintillation is the third and final book in the Stars Align series and can be read as a standalone.
Author of emotionally-gripping, contemporary romance, Kate Stacy’s novels feature sassy heroines, swoony heroes, life, love, friendship, and all the angst. When she’s not writing or spending time with her family and friends in small-town North Carolina, Kate can most likely be found nose deep in her Kindle. She stays up too late, swears too much, and loves too hard.
Book 3 and the final story in the Stars Align series and what an ending. I read this book in one sitting. So hard to put down. Adam and Presley’s story captivated me from page one. Their story was written so good. You were able to feel what they were feeling and I love stories like this. I was rooting for them to get their act together and realize that no matter what happened in their past, they were perfect for each other. They would be for each other even through the tough times and that is what made their relationship so real to me. Loved their story and I can’t wait to read more from this author.
awwww a nice romance with real life issues he's a good guy with baggage she's a good girl with baggage no unnecessary drama but they do break so we cry, she and him and I - soppy sobby tears then they heal then they're whole so we cry some more - happy relieved tears
I can’t even begin to describe how much I loved this book! Presley and Adam’s book kept me glued to the virtual pages of my tablet, and I felt everything from laughter through to gutted devastation. Kate Stacy played my emotions like a finally tuned musical instrument.
This is the third book in the Stars Align series based on identical triplets, and this time we hear from the normally reticent Presley who kept her character to herself in the previous books about her sisters Camille and Madalyn. Each of these is an absolute stand-a-lone, so while the characters are interconnected, it won’t alter the flow of this story. Although, I can’t imagine why you wouldn’t want to read those as well!
Presley is the dark horse of these gorgeous triplets, and what Ms Stacy conveyed in the most cleverly written and heart-breaking manner, was that while Presley carried the same look as her two vivacious sisters, she still saw herself as the unseen ugly duckling. It is this side that Adam saw and mis-judged her harshly for. Quite frankly, I absolutely adored her strength, and her hidden adventurous side which is why this book is probably the hottest of the three!
Adam was written as all kinds of hot and sexy, which had my imagination firing on all cylinders. Alpha tall and handsome, tattooed and pierced, holy sex on a candy stick he sounded just gorgeous. Unfortunately, his past made him keep his emotions on a tightly controlled leash, and while he and Presley created lots of sexy and beautiful moments together, he also had things to sort out, and we were kept hanging on their relationship status as Presley herself was.
Kate Stacy, your writing is genius and always carries the most beautiful of messages while also echoing with quiet voices of important social commentary. Your characters display all the foibles of humanity and work to overcome adversity with the help of professionals, friends, family and unconditional love. On this note, I have to do a special shout out to Derrick, Presley’s BFF. He was an amazing friend and her best cheerleader, and was a pure and blinding light at times. He provided more than a few laugh out loud moments for sure. Ms Stacy, I hope he has a voice in your ear that keeps you awake at nights, because I need his story!!!
This book is a guaranteed great read from me – and it deserves every one of its 5 Stars! 🌟🌟🌟
Kate Stacy has written another steamy, small town romance that will keep you turning the pages. This book is very well written and is a wonderful read. The characters draw you in and capture your heart. This is a sweet, hate-love romance that has drama, trauma, twists, and will have you on an emotional roller coaster ride. I couldn’t put this book down. I can’t wait to read more books by this author.
I received a copy of the book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Presley and Adam are a wild ride from cover to cover. I want to go back and start this series again. When you are born a triplet sometimes you feel like you are unseen. Which is exactly how Presley feels, a chance photo shoot and an IG page changes that. Adam has always seen Presley for who she is. When these two collide fireworks happen. I have read all of Kate Stacy's books and this one by far is one of my favorites. I can't wait to see what is to come... We need more of Blackwood.
Wow, so much emotion, I cried, laughed, raged and identified with these characters so much. Sometimes you don’t realise a piece of you is missing until you find that missing piece is another person. Adam and Presley both have secrets, deep seated insecurities and fears, but can they help each other see the light??
A fantastic end to the series, Kate Stacy keeps you turning the pages until you finish the book, the story and characters grab you and don’t let go!!
I love love love this book! I want to go back and read it again and again. I cried and laughed and rooted so hard for these two. This is the third book in the Stars Align series but it can be read as a stand-alone.
I enjoyed this story. Both characters are at a turning point in their lives and dealing with the ramifications of their past. It took a while for them to connect but I was rooting for them the whole time.
Bring on the tissues!!! Presley and Adam are the perfect pair. Each has their own demons, some darker than the other but each one takes its toll on how one should live.
Adam is captivated by this mysterious beauty, Princess Presley he calls her thinking’s she’s full of herself. He not a fan but he seems to be drawn to her and it’s confusing him. And the dark and Handsome man Presley can’t seem to get away from now that he’s part of the family fold. She doesn’t understand why he hates her so much, since she’s never spoken a word to him.
As each dissects one another, learning that you can’t judge a book is just what makes this story that much enjoyable.
Presley just wants to be seen and Adam is looking for the missing piece of the puzzle that will complete his life.
I loved this story, again have tissues on hand , you won’t be disappointed with the 3rd Sterling sisters story!!
Adam and Presley the third and final book in the stars aligned series
Without giving to much away this book rocked, the slow burn between Adam and Presley was enticing and intriguing
Presely has issues and deep problems only one person can help her deal with them, however Adam feels that he cannot commit to anybody as he has his own issues that he has to deal with,
This story had me sat on the edge of my seat and couldn't put the book down. The bathroom scene broke my heart. Scintillation is by far Kate's best book ever and i cannot wait to read more by her and she is fast becoming on of my go to Authors.
Adam & Presley have this brooding chemistry that draws you in and makes you root for them!
I enjoyed the story it kept me engaged. Presley's friend Derrick is such an entertaining character and added a lot to the story. And that photo shoot 🔥🔥🔥😉
This one was really cute... I liked the chemistry between Adam and Presley and I liked the way everything was handled in this book. I still don't understand how the triplets drifted apart from each other but it seems like it was important for them to grow as strong independent individuals. Though I felt really bad for Holden, he is always finding out stuff about his sisters and he loves them to bits. Even though he was not a protagonist you still feel his hurt every single time. I think that's the thing with this author she makes you feel things for all of her characters.
I didn’t want this series to end, but like the rest, this one did not disappoint! What I love most about this author is that she writes real characters. The entire time I was reading this I could feel every emotion that Presley experienced. Her story was heartbreaking, but in the end, she found happiness with the sexy tattoo artist. I can’t wait to see what this author has next for us!
Where has this book been hiding?! THIS WAS AMAZING 😭😍
The mental health and self harm representation was done so well. My literal heart and soul was invested in these two. And not just their relationship, but their whole existence. They both deal with some shit but wow..
The epilogue is so beautiful. I wish this book just went forever 😭
I was reading it...somewhat enjoying it, somewhat bored with it, then...BANG! Right out of left field -- voyeurism! Seriously? What the fuck, yo? This is some bullshit. No gracias. #notmykink DNFed immediately!
