The epics say, in the great War of Ramayana, a number of rakshasas escaped. They hid in the bowels of the Earth, in the water and in space and remained dormant for eons. In the 20th century of the Christian era, however, some of them reappeared in different forms to plague the Earth with Wars and illnesses. At the end of his war with Ravana, Rama had asked Hanuman to raise and train a contingent of warriors who would take birth multiple times on Earth, to contain the demons. Aishani and adheesh are two such warriors, blessed with divine weapons and powers to fight the world’s evils at present times. Read this exciting story to know who finally wins. The good or the evil? The demons of jaitraya is the first book of the trilogy of the war between demons and humans.
The Demons of Jaitraya is the first book of this mythological trilogy. First of all kudos to the author for coimg up with this awesome idea. Mythological fiction is something I like a lot but didn't get enough time to delve into. This book has quite an interesting storyline. A good blend of epics and 20th century with all the demons and different war tactics. The characters here are well sketched. The main characters Aishani and Adheesh are well developed. Supporting characters are also well described. Different chapters are dedicated only to describe everyone's character with their surrounding situations. Writing style is good but the editing could have been bettered. Pace is fast, some parts were rushed a bit and in many parts the use of big sentences, elaborate descriptions and use of repetitive words made it kinda boring. Although the settings and plot changes are good.
MY EXPERIENCE: Though it didn't impress me a lot but still I like the idea behind this book and I'm looking forward to read the next parts of the trilogy.
The demons of Ramayana in a different “Yuga” altogether, a female warrior as a protagonist with her better half, folklore with fictional fantasy giving it a twist of dystopia & more over such a distinguished plot made this book irresistible.
The sole purpose of Aishani & Adheesh’s reincarnation time & again is for the greater good to win over the evils that have escaped from the time of Ramayana. A warrior through generations all they need is a nudge towards their destiny & duty to ward off evil. When good & bad co-exists in this century the challenges and stakes are much higher, will it be as simple as it seems?
The narrative and the language is quiet captivating, the author has introduced each character and their powers/flaws in a very descriptive way. Though some aspects/plots in the book are not unheard of nevertheless it was a good reading experience altogether. Can’t wait to read the other books in the series as I need closure.
There's no hero without a villain. I remember in high school, my English teacher taught us how it is necessary to have a negative character to bring out the positive one. To make it shine. This is not limited to people, the negative aspect can be roped in through various situations and circumstances as well.
This book, to an extent, manages to do that.
This is the "Kali Yuga", the final cycle where evil runs free, it is full of conflict and sin, In the world created by Shubira Prasad, a number of demons escaped the great war of Ramayana and went underground, but they have re-surfaced.. This is the age old story of the battle between the Good and The evil, you have to read this to find out who wins.
Pick this book up if you want to get a taste of Indian mythology, folklore, a re-incarnated protagonist, who also happens to be female.
The story starts with the conversation of Rama and His devotee Hanuman, Hanuman explains how he didn’t have success in catching demons and how they escape. Then the story takes a whole turn to the modern times. Aishani, a normal girl who doesn’t know she is a warrior and savior of the whole humanity. She has protectors, she is getting taught by teachers of various subjects in her gurukul. Gurukul is made by magic or unidentified science, when a student is eligible to unlock a specific area like library he can go in an instant but if not they can’t. Adeesh soul mate of Aishani from past births, when they touch each other sparks flew in the air, and everyone’s eye fell on them. Aishani’s friend Ruby is an apsara from past births. This book is not the retelling of Ramayana, it is a totally different story. I am a die-hard fan of mythological fiction but this book didn’t reach up to my expectations. A didn’t understand the meaning that everyone is related from past births, And I didn’t like the mix of romance in the book, I just didn’t like it. I find this book too much descriptive. Author’s imagination to create such a mind-blowing book is need to be appreciated.
At the time of epic Ramayana, it is been said that some demons ran away from the war, and they are hiding in the depths of the earth. While leaving for Vaikunth, Lord Ram asked Hanumanji to stay on earth to train the warriors and prepare an army to kill those demons before the Kalyug ends.
Then the story comes back to 20th century where it narrates the story of Aishani and Adeesh. Both of them are believed to be warriors at the time of Ramayana and in their previous births as well. They undergo vigorous training, learn to use the astras and a lot more. It is been believed that they were partners in their previous births, and they are born to kill the demons.
At first, I thought it’s going to be a retelling of the epic Ramayana, but it turned out to be a contrasting and compelling story. It takes place in Kalyug which is believed as the last Yug according to Indian Mythology. The book is very descriptive, and it gives you a glimpse of almost every aspect. The language was lucid, and it was a prolonged read which at times may turn out to be monotonous. Overall, it was a stimulating read for me, and I am looking forward to reading the upcoming series of this trilogy. I would rate it 4/5
After a very long time, I had read a book belonging to mythology. The mythological genre is something that I hunt for, and Various authors have described mythical things in their own way, which is why I picked this book.
The Demons of Jaitraya is a book written by Shubira Prasad, which is mythological fiction.
The story has some aspects of Ramayana but yet is very different.
While I started the book, I didn't know that I would just take 3 sittings to finish this 300+ pages book. I had hardly finished a book of more than 300 pages in 3 sittings. For this, I would appreciate the author's narration.
The story plot is something different, and I liked it. The story's pace is good, and I believe that no one will find it difficult to read it as it is written in an elementary and lucid language.
This is the first part of the series, and I can't wait to read the second one. I had seen a few reviews of the 2nd part, too, so I am eager to read it.
This book is backed by a beautiful story plot, fantastic narration, and a creative plot with lucid and straightforward language.
Book Title: The Demons of Jaitraya Author: Shubira Prasad Format: Kindle
Book Title The title of the book ' The Demons of Jaitraya ' is interesting and riveting
Book Cover The cover image of the book is an attractive picture of the head of Trishul with ocean water as the background. This digitally created image is colorful and captivating.
Inside the book The book, "The Demons of Jaitraya" is a myth-fiction of all the elements like past lives, karma, spirituality, demons, evil forces. war sagas etc. With many interesting characters like Aishani and Adheesh, this book is magical, colorful, and thrilling. Aishani is a powerful female and Adheesh, a perfect complement. In this part of the story, a mantra called Narayan Astra is introduced.
The book is a perfect combination of traditional values of wisdom and strength and mythological aspects. There is war, there is love and there is a fight.
My review As the blurb already states that the epics say, in the great War of Ramayana, several rakshasas escaped. They hid in the bowels of the Earth, in the water and space, and remained dormant for eons.
This being the central idea of the story, with the characters of Aishani and Adheesh who are warriors in their past lives and now in this life still possess the blessed weapons and magical powers to fight the demons and evil powers that exist in the world, the author Shubira Prasad has woven an interesting tale.
The description of places, sceneries, people, and situations create an imaginary and magical place in a reader's mind. The author's imagination when gets replicated in a reader's mind can be said that the story is just awesome. It is the same here. Right from the prologue till the last chapter where Guruji, the other most important character in the story, reveals that in the coming days most of the Gurukuls will b under attack and the thoughts that cross over Aishani's mind is brilliant. The last chapter hinted to me that there will be the next part of the story too.
The book has good explanations of the different philosophies that collectively make up the beautiful mosaic of Indian culture. The concept and explanation of 8 Sthanas intrigued me very much also the concepts of universal energy, karma, and dharma are put forth interestingly.
The author uses the mythological stories and the legends of Ramayana as the basis for her novel. The narrative technique she used is from a third-person point of view that also makes a reader an integral part of the story. Impartial writing gives the readers enough space to study the plot and form their own opinions about the virtues and evils mentioned.
Overall, the book is a fantastic thriller that starts from the point right after the Ramayana war. The Demons of Jaitraya by Shubira Prasad is a thriller set in the current times where the earth is seeing gruesome killings and mass illnesses and it’s now upon the brave warriors of Hanuman to free it from the clutches of the demons that are back from hibernation.
The comfortable size and style of the font used in the book is worth mentioning.
My take on the characters The story starts with Lord Rama explaining Hanuman about the coming of Kaliyug, his own descend to Vaikunth, and Hanuman's responsibility to safeguard the earth from all kinds of demons both the inner and outer. He also says that in need of the hour, in Kaliyug he will be the Kalki and come back to earth. Hearing this, Hanuman bows down and all the five elements also support. Here, the author in a small skit showcased the great relationship build upon love, respect, and discipline between Rama, Laxman, and Hanuman. Rama's character also shows his responsibility subtly.
Later, from the further chapters, the readers come across the characters of Aishani, a psychology student and one of the central characters in the story, her father Pandit Ram Sharan who is an ayurvedic doctor, her brother Jayant and her mother. The characters here in this chapter are full of life and jubilance. A scenic impression is instantly created after these characters are introduced. There are so many details about their house, the birds they have, and the plants their house has. These tiny details make a reader more comfortable and thus get connected to every character.
Going forward, many characters that are introduced in the story that has to make a face-lift to the story. The character of Adheesh is extremely fascinating too.
How good is the author's writing style Being a school teacher for many years, Shubira Prasad has embarked on her journey as a writer after her professional retirement. In one of the interviews, she says that ' I have not retired, but changed my occupation ' With this great zeal and confidence, her book ' The Demons of Jaitraya ' is one of the best myth-fictions that I have read in 2020.
The story is a perfect blend of modern-day evils and happenings and the great epic Ramayana and its characters. Whether it is a conversation or a scene or a war sequence, the author's writing has hooked me. The explicit narrations and the language are an added advantage.
Who can read the book The tiny and short stories from Indian Mythology have always been an icing on the cake to the readers of any age. This book by Shubira Prasad starts from the point where Lord Rama along with the Vanarasena and Hanuman has won the war against Ravana and his clan. As there are quite a lot of known characters and virtues that have been imbibed into every Indian mind, this book thus can entertain a reader of any age. The book is a feast to myth-fiction lovers.
The demons of Jaitraya in an alternate "Yuga" inside and out, a female fighter as a hero with her significant other, old stories with anecdotal dream giving it a bit of oppressed world and more over a particularly recognized plot made this book powerful.
The sole motivation behind Aishani and Adheesh's rebirth time and again is for everyone's benefit to prevail upon the indecencies that have gotten away from the hour of Ramayana. A hero through ages all they need is a poke towards their fate and obligation to avert evil. When great and awful exists together in this century the difficulties and stakes are a lot higher, will it be pretty much as straightforward as it appears?
The account and the language hushes up dazzling, the creator has presented each character and their forces/imperfections in an engaging way. Despite the fact that a few perspectives/plots in the book are not inconceivable by and by it was a decent perusing experience through and through. Can hardly wait to peruse different books in the arrangement as I need conclusion.
Sometimes while we start reading , some books keep us surprising from the very beginning. This is book is something like that.
We all know about the story of Ramayana and fight between Racana and Rama. But what happens after that ? A number of Rakshasas escaped and they hide in the bowls of the earth. Hanuman failed to catch them but Rama had asked him to wait till kaliyug in order to kill those Rakshasas and save humans
The demons of Jaitrarya is the first book of the trilogy of War between demons and humans. In true sense this book displays the war between good and the evil . The storyline and the the narration both are admirable. Not only mythological elements but a bit of thriller is added in this story which has made the story more enjoyable.
"The Demons of Jaitraya" is the debut novel of Shubira Prasad. The book came out back in 2020, and the sequel of this book, "The Angels of Kailash," came out last year. The book provides a fresh perspective on the epic Ramayana.
The story begins with Lord Ram ordering Hanuman to preserve the balance of this Earth in the 'kali yuga.' He asked him to raise and train a contingent of warriors who would take birth multiple times on Earth, to contain the demons. Aishani and Adheesh are the two protagonists of the narrative who are assigned the task of protecting humankind from demons.
Grab your copies to know who wins in the end? How do turn of events mould the plotline?
I appreciate the concept the author has tried to put up. I feel the premise had a lot of potentials but somehow didn't pan out that well enough. Nevertheless, it was a good one-time read.
Thanks @thebookcritiques for providing me a copy of this book.
The book is like taking a magical adventure in the world of Indian mythology. The writing is both mysterious yet alluring for you to turn the page after every chapter. In the 20th century , a number of Rakshasas, who were escaped in the great war of Ramayana, reappeared in different forms to plague the earth with war and illness. Aishani and Adheesh are the powerful warriors, who fill fight against them.
The lucid writing style helped the story flow in a smooth pace. I didn’t expect the plot twists and cliff hangers at the end. This first book is mostly a stepping stone for readers to enter the Valley and get acclimated to the various characters and their history. A lot of characters that were residents of Vanyasa had their unique back-stories and I found it interesting.
I am having huge hopes for the second book in this series. The fates of some of the important characters are hanging by a thread and I hope it goes well for them. Can’t wait for the second book in this series.
If you're a fan of mythological fantasy, then this one's for you. Read it and I promise you won't be disappointed. A perfect blend of mythology with fantasy but in the modern times.
The Demons of Jaitraya is a mythological fiction based on Ramayana and is the first book of the trilogy. The story is set in 2020, which is the most unique part of the story.
As we all know that Ramayana was basically based on the war between Ram and Ravana. But when Ravana was killed, what happened after that was the rakshasas escaped. So this book portrays the arrival of rakshasas and afterlife when they arrived. The book also depicts the war between good and evils.
✨Main characters are well developed. ✨The plot is unique. ✨Narration is fascinating. ✨Language is lucid. ✨The writing style could have been better.
Overall a good read. Looking forward to reading the next parts.
'The demons of Jaitraya' is beautifully written by Shubira Prasad and was published by Vitasta publishing that comes in mythological fiction genre and contains 344 pages.
'The demons of Jaitraya' is the first book if the trilogy and I'm eagerly waiting for the other two books.
After the great war if Ramayana, many Demons and Rakshaks escaped in the space ,deep under the ground and Ocean, some went for hibernation. Some of them will reappear in the twentieth century when great warrior like Ram doesn't exist. What will happen to the humans? Who will save save them from the demons?
At the end of Ramayana, Ram instructed Hanuman to train warriors and prepare an army to fight the demons and save the world,as he knew that they will reappear in the Kaliyuga.
Aishani and Adeesh are two of them, they both are soulmates from the past births, maybe from the time of Ramayana or even before that. They both are the chosen for the responsibility of destroying the demons on the Earth.
First of all, hats off for the author's imagination,Shubira mam has beautifully poured a great mixture of mythology and thriller in this book. I respect the effort,as she did a lot of research on the epics before writing the book.
At first, I thought,it will be all about the Ramayana but I was wrong ,this covers an completely different story, though related to Ramayana. As I only love the Mahabharata and I'm not a great fan of Ramayana ,I was not picking this book. But when I read the blurb, I instantly started reading it was hooked till the end.
Just by looking at the cover, we can say that it's an mythological fiction, and title is sounds thrilling.
The character are well developed, each of them has its own uniqueness. The author had described every character in details. The language used in the book is wuitey simple and lucid, hence makingit begginer friendly. Although,I felt the writing style could have been better.
Personally, I love the way how the meeting of Aishani and Adeesh was weaved, it was magical and beautiful. The plot was well paced to keep the reader hooked. Overall, I enjoyed reading it and can't wait for the second part. An amazing read for mythology lovers.

"The Demons of Jaitraya" is an epic saga which revolves around the live story of Aishani and Adheesh set against the backdrop of a magical and beautiful forest. The book has both the mythological tinge mixed with contemporary style. The plot of the book is well developed. The characters have a strong effect and maintain their part which adds up to it's beauty.
The plot was very enjoyable and intriguing. One would read the story at a stretch as it's too intersting. I love Aishani's strong determination. The title of the book is 💯 appropriate. The cover has been designed in a beautiful style.
The epic fantasy is overall an amazing read. Loved it.
Whew, I read such long book after long time but it was worth it.😇 I like mythology and this was a blend of mythology and current times.😯 I must say such a fresh concept.👌
We all know that Shree Ram had killed🏹 Ravan and his sena in Ramayana. However, this story goes further saying that some terrific and dangerous demons ran and hid deep in ocean, space and some also among the humans looking perfectly like a normal person.😥 To kill such demons, lord Hanuman is still living on earth🙏🏻 and appoited many representatives and built Gurukuls to train the warriors.🗡️
Aishani and Adheesh are such chosen special warriors.⚔️ They are fighting this war with demons since the time of Lord Ram in many births.😮 They are soulmates and their power gets strengthens together.💪 I liked their chemistry.💖 Aishani is blessed by Maa Durga😇 and she is the person killing the demons along with her team and Adheesh who always protects Aishani.
The author has beautifully narrated whole story.✍️ Every character has been developed strongly.👤 I liked the narration of fights with demons.🏹 I was so eager about Raktabeej and Shumbh fight but was disappointed😐 as it was finished in one page only. I think it could have been narrated in some interesting details.🙂 Overall I really enjoyed this story and eagerly awaiting for the sequel.🤩 If you like mythology with 21st century, don't think and just go for this book!📖
The Demons Of Jaitraya is the tale based on the epic Ramayana with which is beautifully rewritten to give hope to the future. The story moves through a mystical world where after the great war between Ram and Ravan, many demons and “Rakshaks” flee to different places in space, underground and ocean where they stay under hibernation and reappear in the twentieth century to create chaos to the society. On the other hand, Hanuman secretly creates an army in an invisible school of warfare to train some of the chosen ones on the earth for the upcoming war.
The characters are very well detailed and also framed well along with the plot. The narrative includes the various scenes of the past and the present described and the author has blended them well with good coordination. The narration is crisp and formed well. I noticed the mentions about tantra-mantra, Vedic culture. And I could sense the extent of research works done by the author to bring in hidden meanings for every myth.
The cover page is simple yet attractive and the title makes good sense to the story described. To sum up it a very beautifully compiled book with a strong conclusion and the books keep you on grip until its last page. This is the first book in the trilogy of the war between demons and humans and I hope more secrets will be unveiled in the upcoming books of the trilogy. I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars.
The Demons of Jaitraya is an Indian Mythological Fiction that takes place in twentieth century. The deities are long gone from earth but have left one of them behind. Lord Hanuman is residing in Gandmadana Mountain while his discipline are spread all over India, operating a special school and training warriors in it to protect mankind from demons that were left after the war of Ramayana.
Author has done a fine job of making this book as interesting as possible by adding vivid characters, past stories and mythical elements, details about various demons and other supernatural things and a love story of destined soul mates to make it all exciting to read. The start of the book is an introduction to the characters as well as Gurukul where they all are studying/residing.
I liked how we got a few chapters highlighting the story of side characters. It was like many short stories woven together. I liked how the love story was entered to make it fit perfectly. The writing was good but more direct than I like. The characters all readily agreed their destiny and surrendered themselves to fight a battle which wasn’t their own seemed hard to believe. The storyline and characters were good but writing could have been better.
It is 20th century. Aishani lives a normal life with her parents. They all know that she's destined to do something bigger, something no normal human being is capable of doing. What they don't know is that Aishani is the chosen one, a warrior who is destined to kill all the demon race. But how will she do it when she can't even remember her past births and her powers.
Review :
When the great war of Ramayana ended, manu demons went into hiding. Lord Hanuman is entrusted with the duty to train all the warriors to kill all the demons. Aishani and Adheesh are the chosen ones, they've been fighting with the demons since the time immemorial. They will take birth again and again until they've killed the demon race. They undergo a rigorous training, But the demons are one steo ahead of them, they're getting stronger day by day. all this while Aishani was still trying to process everything. She is still not aware of her powers. But Pandit Ram sharan's sacrifice changes everything. It is a war between good and evil. Read the book to find out who wins.
The Demons of Jaitraya is first book of the triology. Mythology has become my favorite and this book kept me hooked till the end. A perfect mix of fiction and mythology. The story is very well narrated, all the character perfectly described, each has their role to play to help Aishani fulfil her purpose. The part where Aishani was possessed by a Rakshasini, the bond between Aishani and her father and Adheesh's faith in Devnath kept me glued to this book. Couldn't wait to read the next part. Fans of Mythological fiction would love this book.
The Demons of Jaitraya has an impeccably designed plot, carved out of the epic Ramayana. Apparently, in the great war of Ramayana, a number of Rakhasa escaped and hidden themselves in the bowels of the Earth, in the water and in space. Rama in order to protect the mankind tasked Hanuman to stay on Earth until the end of Kaliyuga and train warriors to fight the demons when they reappear.
Aishani and Adheesh are destined to do great things together, born in the 20th century they are being trained in an ancient school of warfare to face what lay ahead of them.
I really liked the concept and throughout I tried to find connection with Ramayana. It almost felt like the history is repeating itself and most of the characters are reincarnation of the characters from Ramayana, so it's obvious for me to feel that way.
This is the first book of the trilogy and I already want to read the rest two books. I wouldn't say it was super interesting I think there should have been more elements to keep the readers engrossed, but as it is the first book I appreciate that the author introduced and talked in depth about each of the characters.
Overall, it was a great read and if you are a fan of mythology like me then you should definitely go for it.
The book cover and the title of the book are intriguing. This book is all about the story of the contingent of warriors and how they are trained and fighting against the evils is an enthralling story.
The beginning of story starts in 6300 BC, Circa, which means 8000 years ago. The author brilliantly framed the storyline with the Ramayana. The narration of this book is incredible. The author has taken the readers verbally into the demon's battleground. I'm very excited to read such a dexterity narration of the background of the novel.
There is no clumsy or controversial inscription of antiquity warriors and 20th-century warriors. Precise and certain story narration. Moreover, the author has illustrated the extreme conviction in the characters of this novel. Even though Aishani and Adheesh are the protagonists of this novel, the side characters like Geetika and Somesh I like most.
All the creatures support the warriors. I like the part about how Garuda has saved the warriors. The supernatural elements in this novel gave a hedonistic sense to read.
The language is rational. Fast pacing mythological thriller, I would say. Overall, I recommend this book to all.
BOOK REVIEW BOOK - " THE DEMONS OF JAITRAYA " AUTHOR - " SHUBIRA PRASAD " GENRE - " MYTHICAL THRILLER "
This is the first book in the series. The story which dates back the time when the great war of Ramayana took place. Many rakshasas escaped into the space, water and underneath and emerged time and again. Now this is a story of war between food and evil. A story of love, sacrifice and a fight to protect the mankind.
Aidhani and Adheesh are two warriors who were summoned by Hamuman on the orders of the Lord Ram. They were trained by Hamunan and supposed to protect the humanity from grave danger of the curse of the demons and finally to annihilate them.
Aidhani and Adheesh are endowed with magical powers and secret weapons. Now born in the current era - will they be able to handle the taunt of the demons ?
A gripping story which introduces the reader to the amalgamation of cultures and philosophies. The story is vividly described which presents a different and a continuation of the story of Ramayana. Though being a mythology, it have many giveaways which present the reader a glimpse of the life in the past intertwined with the present.
The aspects of the book like grave diseases and mass deaths taking place of the earth was a reminder and reminicied the pandemic which was and still haunting us to this day.
A good read for all mythology and thriller lovers.
This is the author's first book, but I didn't feel like it at all. From the prologue, the story is so intriguing and compelling to read, it keeps me hooked till the end. The writing style is also fine, and the narrative makes this story very realistic and interesting too. Lord Ram ordered Hanuman that you have to maintain the balance of this earth in this kali yuga. You will stay here till the end and protect all the devotees from the demons both inside and outside in this world. There are a lot of other mysteries that have to be resolved and how Aishani and Adheesh are chosen for this work in the present world. Aishani and Adheesh are two such warriors, blessed with divine weapons and powers to fight the world’s evils at present times. The story seems very realistic, and the author tries his best to maintain our ancient stories and beliefs. Overall I loved this book and thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Recommended to all who love to read mythology with a twist.
“The Demons of Jaitraya” by Surbhi Prasad is captivating modern mythological retelling. This is the first book of a trilogy. There are many books based on a retelling of mythology with the modern era in the backdrop. But I find the concept of this book unique, it tells that how the demons which were defeated in the previous Yugas are presented within ourselves in Kalyuga. Aishani and Adeesh are two warriors of the present time to fight with hidden evils of all the yugas. The plot is cunningly written and the multidimensional nature of the characters pulled me in and kept me racing through the pages. For me storytelling craft is stellar. The intersection between the modern era and the mythological era is superbly woven with the author's lucid writing. This book introduces the epic retelling series, and readers who enjoy tales with phenomenal characters and a strong conflict will adore this story.
This year I have explored various genres and mythology is one of them. Demons of Jaitraya is based on Indian mythology set in the 20th century, which I felt was such a fascinating idea. Imagine having gods around us, I have always heard of gods still residing with us, myth or fact this book helps to bring it in front of your eyes.
I really love the way the author has narrated this story, reading the first few pages itself got me engrossed. If you enjoy reading mythology or looking for one this book is the one you should pick. With the interesting chapter I really loved the title given to each chapter of this novel. What I loved about this book is the character development and how it keeps the readers engaged.
I highly recommend you read this book if you are searching for one in the mythology genre.

If you're a fan of mythological fantasy, then this one's for you. Read it and I promise you won't be disappointed. A perfect blend of mythology with fantasy but in the modern times.
'Demons of Jaitraya' is a fanfiction of the post-Ramayana effects written in a philosophical and beautiful style. A female protagonist in a mildly dystopian world with a hint of folklore and fantasy is all you need to read this book.
The age old trope of the battle between the good and the evil is the main focus of this book, and if you feel like delving into the past, this is the one for you.
A typical superhero story where the 'chosen one' is born, brought up like everyone else, then realises she's special and learns her super skills, excels in it to fight against the evil with the help of her clan.
Shubira Prasad has created a fictional world that is very entertaining and adventurous with the young adults always enthusiastic and bold, looking out for each other and other challenges. Her portrayal is detailed with descriptions of India in the vintage years, a typical Indian family and the mythological stories that connect them all are very well done and totally entertaining.
The pace however is a bit on its own and a reader must be patient to take in all the details, grow acquainted with Aishani and her clan to know what awaits them. It's a fun adventure with facts and good stories for those who love hindu Mythology.
The Demons of the Jaitraya is a mythological fiction trilogy, the first in the series. This book follows the story of an Indian Ramayana tale that uniquely connects with the present century.
At the time of the epic war between Rama and Ravana, many demons escaped and hid to save themselves. To defend the earth from them, Hanuman stays and prepares others for the impending fight. Aishani is the only one who can kill demons and save humans. She was born with mystical abilities and a soulmate equally as powerful as her-Adheesh. They both need to discover themselves to know their ultimate destiny, birth history, and connection to each other.
The book's intriguing prologue draws you in right away. The book's cover, title, and blurb pique my interest. The plot is unique, strong, and different but linked to the various myths of Ramayana. The language is straightforward and clear to provide perfect sight. Some chapters go into great detail on the supporting characters so that you can understand and connect with them. The novel moves quickly and is well-written.
However, the writing style is quite different and unfamiliar to me, which is hard to ignore and confounds me. Too many extended lines, repeats of description, and repetitions of words slow the pace for me.
Overall, the plotline and settling of the world is a rich and perfect story of modern mythological Hindu fiction. The suspense presses me into this book and many of its life lessons.
I am not a Mytho person but the book The Demons of Jaitraya by Shubira Prasad created an urge in me to read this book. And basically, this is my first mythology review. Talking about the Book The Demons of Jaitraya is a Mythological Fiction Read. This Book somewhere falls between Ramayana which is being retold and the beginning of a new story. The story revolves around two protagonists Aishani and Asheesh who takes us on a Journey filled with Thrill and Fantasy. They both fought against the Rakshas and survived the Tretayuga and made their way to kaliyug. The story revolves around the Good v/s Evil concept. To know more about this, go through the book. The characters are well developed and plotted. The cover page is very attractive. I found little difficulty while reading due to some words but that's fine. Overall the book is nice If you are a Mythological Lover you will for sure love this book
