Born to Ride #2

Flying Start

Rate this book
Jenna Michaelson has not only rediscovered her love of horses, but she's determined to follow in her father's footsteps and aim for Eventing glory. But returning home after a long absence doesn't go as smoothly as she'd hoped. Not only does she have a new school to contend with, but there's a golden-haired usurper at the yard that no-one bothered to tell her about. And if that's not bad enough, there's something else going on that Jenna never thought she'd have to deal with - there is a thief at Hoxley Grove.

Catch-up with the whole Michaelson clan, and their four-legged friends, at the Quicksilver Stud in Book 2 – Flying Start.

Teen fiction for horse lovers, especially Eventing fans. Ideal for fans of Claire Svendson, Amanda Wills or Samantha Alexander.

The only thing I am sorry about is that there are only 2 books in this series. I very much enjoyed reading Ms Walker's novels, and will read more of her works.

I'm an old fogey, and I remember how much I liked riding in the olden days. These books bring back fond memories. I like the author's writing style, plots, character development, an how smoothly she tells her story.

loved 1st & 2nd book …

.. in the series - about to start the 3rd. And, no, I’m not a teenager - wow that was a long time ago, lol, but these books are suitable for us older people too.
Thank you Author, keep on writing please! 😊

Fun ride

Though I tire of pony girls that are downtrodden or have no money, but still reach the silver cup, this story had a curious mystery... or two....within that made me keep turning the pages.

Really enjoyed this book. Just as good as the first one though quite a bit longer which was good. Looking forward to continuing this series.

Ok for a horse mad kid

Not the best written book in the world. But the author definitely knows a lot about horses. Fine for a horse mad kids holiday read.
