In a rural town nestled in the hills of northern Michigan, Vivienne Ward is about to find her quiet life turned upside down. The appearance of a mysteriously alluring man sparks not only her desire, but a chain of events that will lift the veil from a world she never imagined could exist.

But this is no fairy tale, and the dangers are very real, especially when the killing starts.

Achak is a werewolf, his body host to the spirit of a beast with a temperament and will all his own. The wolf has been his only companion for over a hundred years; they are partners, surviving in the wilderness by sharing control as they shift forms. But everything changes when they cross paths with Vivienne. Achak and the wolf struggle to master their attraction to this delectable beauty, an unprecedented temptation that will challenge their partnership. They must also hide their true nature from her, lest she take them for a monster.

But something far more sinister has also been drawn to this little town- intimidating even a werewolf. Achak and his wolf might be the only ones capable of stopping it.

Trigger warning: instances of graphic violence and sex, references to suicide, polyamory

Primal Allure is an unquestionably adorable book. Viv, Achak and Cullo melted my heart (although the wolf is my favourite). However, unlike other books I've read, this story is different because of the male character that's absolutely sweet (and innocent to some extent). Don't get me wrong, the story isn't lacking any steam – quite the opposite– but it's the way it was described that made it precious. I chuckled countless times while reading this story, and that's one thing I really value in PNR books.

It's difficult to leave a review without spoilers, so I'll just say this one last thing – I LOVED the twist at the ending and how their relationship turned out. Primal Allure exceeded my expectations, and I wish it were a thicker book. It kept me engaged the entire time, and I hope the author is already working on the second book :D

To sum up, here are the cons:
1) Written in 3rd person (but describes all angles and different character thoughts, emotions and their intensity)
2) Sweet, sweet, sweet romance that evolves fairly slowly but in a nice, believable way
3) Steamy!
4) A surprising twist at the end.

Primal Allure is a standalone book in the Grimmsbrook Tales Series. Each book will be standalone with a connecting arc story. This first time author will delight and surprise you with her unique and sexy story of wereanimals, greenmages, warlocks, demons, angels and more!

This tale takes us to a werewolf who has roamed away from civilization for 150 years and his fated mate. She just doesn't know it yet. She doesn't know anything about non humans in her world or even her own capabilities. She is, however, in great danger, as someone has been killing people in her little town. Can these two join forces and save her grandmother, Viv herself and the "others" of Grimmsbrook? Enjoy reading this paranormal suspense and romance to find out!
