Help your child make the most of their unique gifts, challenges, and potentials with a guide to parenting by the stars.
What stories do the stars tell about our children? Every person alive is born under a particular snapshot of the celestial relationships occurring at the time of their birth. This picture―known as a natal chart―offers a powerful tool for insight into your children's strengths, struggles, hopes, and dreams.
In Star Child , Briana Saussy presents the first comprehensive guide for using Astrology to better understand your children―and becoming more joyful and effective parents as a result.
A renowned astrologer and teacher, and a mother of two herself, Saussy brings substantial expertise, humor, and wisdom to this engaging guide. Highlights
• An excellent overview of astrology basics―easily understand houses, planets, and other important elements • Simple-to-follow instructions for reading a natal chart, so you can go beyond sun signs into deeper understanding of your child’s unique traits • Explore the characteristics of each sign―plus gain specific insights on friendship and play, academics, health, creativity, discipline, how best to connect, and more • What to actually do with all this information―Picky eater? Stubborn? Take a look at your child’s second house for clues … • Masterfully told fairy tales, legends, and myths from cultures around the world, providing archetypal maps for the signs of the zodiac • Engaging rituals and activities for connecting with your children, as well as inner-child rituals for adults • Connect with the cosmos to create more knowledgeable, joyful, and nurturing relationships with your children
Far from putting kids into boxes based on their signs, Star Child instead invites us to recognize where the zodiac’s archetypes live within each of us, honor these differences, and joyfully raise our children by the stars.

Let's get straight to the point: this book is a treasure. If you are a parent. If you have children in your life that you love. Heck, if YOU were ever a child, you need this book.
When my Goddess-daughter was born 10 years ago, I searched high and low for something like this to give her mom. It's exactly what every new parent needs.
Briana Saussy expertly unfolds astrology in the most comprehensible, user-friendly manner, and offers fascinating, in-depth insights into the heart of every Sun sign.
But even more, she has created magical activities and exercises to help attune their young spirits to their strengths and gifts in ways I have never seen anyone attempt before.
And she does not shy away from a frank discussion of each sign's possible challenges, as every child certainly has some (except my Goddess-daughter, of course!) :)
Seriously - GET THIS BOOK! Discover who your own inner child is, and help to make the world a harmonious and welcoming experience for all the little ones in your life.
I love stargazing and astrology, so I adore the idea of this book. The information is fine, I just wish it was more engaging. I've read multiple astrology books and the common theme among the ones I enjoy is that they are pretty - enticing. I want books like these to be stimulating, but unfortunately I found the execution a little too plain and ultimately I probably wouldn't pick this up.
You can get the same information and experience online from a vast number of websites, so I'd personally just like a bit "more" from a book.

This book is a good guide to taking your usual astrological information and applying it to your children. I found the descriptions helpful in understanding how a young Capricorn might differ from an adult, for example. Little rituals at the end of each section were just enough to nudge magic into your child's life without necessarily making it a big production - several are rituals I've practiced myself and would agree are appropriate for all ages. All in all, this book is a good starting place for understanding your child's astrological self.
Loved this book so much. The first part is a pretty amazing intro to astrology, including a brilliant description of the house systems (something that perplexes me time to time). After that, you dive into the complexity of each sign, with perfect stories to introduce you to each sign. I will definitely read this multiple times. I feel like there’s so much I need to just go back and reflect on. Great for parenting but also inner child work as well.
The first part is kind of introductory to different topic areas in astrology. The second part is each sign in their own chapter. Overall, a decent introductory book for those who want to know more about astrology.
Very detailed book about astrology. I found that there was so much information that at times it was hard to get through but still a great read especially for anyone that wants to learn more.about astrology.
I appreciated the use of the word “caregiver” throughout the book as opposed to parent. I love the rituals for working with kids or when working with your inner child. It is beautifully written, easy to follow and so helpful. I can see that it will be a great reference.
I really enjoyed this book! I had so many “Aha! Moments” about my girl, myself, the Girl Scouts I serve. There are wonderful ritual ideas that I can’t wait to put into practice.
