Any book that spends an entire chapter trying to convince you that the subject material will be easy to understand, fun to learn, and useful may not be being entirely honest. That being said, this is the best physics book I have ever read and I did learn some things I didn't know and definitely increased my understanding of quite a few concepts. I also learned some pretty neat parlor tricks to use with my classes in future years that will hopefully get them more interested in physics as well.
