All I wanted was one hot night with an alien gladiator…
Ever since the Kalixian warriors rescued us from our Orkun captors, I’ve made no secret of the fact that I think these bronze, horned aliens are hot as hell.

I have no interest in the whole “fated mate” thing, but I definitely wouldn’t mind a roll in the sheets with any of these men.

Well… one man, if I’m being honest.

Tycran.

There’s something about the stoic, gorgeous alien that draws me in—even though he’s the only one who seems completely immune to my flirtations.

I’m not sure why I’m so drawn to him, or why I’ve set my sights on the most unattainable man on Kalix. Maybe it’s because when I get a glimpse behind his stony mask, the spark of passion I see in his eyes makes my pulse pound.

I want to be the one to light that spark. I want to show him how much fun it could be to just let loose for once.

I’m playing with fire. I know that.

But maybe I want to get burned.

Consumed is a full-length standalone sci-fi romance featuring hot alien gladiators with huge… horns, a heroine who isn’t afraid to fight for what she wants, and a smoldering warrior whose love burns hotter than Kalix’s sun.

If you like sexy aliens, sweeping adventure, and steamy romance, you’ll love this series. No cheating, no cliffhanger, and a happily ever after guaranteed!

Note: each book in the series can be read as a standalone, but for maximum enjoyment, it’s recommended that the series be read in order.

I love reading romance, baking (well... eating) cookies, and binge-watching sci fi shows with my husband. I'm a sucker for a dirty talking alpha with a heart of gold, and I write stories about fierce aliens and the strong Earth women they fall in love with.

Lucy and Tycran - Lucy was a stripper in Las Vegas before she was sold to the Orkun warlords in exchange for alien technology. She is determined and independent and doesn’t want a fated mate like the other women, but deep down she is fooling herself and just doesn’t think she is worthy. However she has been attracted to Tycran since the Kalixians first rescued the women from the Orkun.

So Lucy finally decides she wants to hook up with Tycran, whom she has been attracted to for a while but when she goes to him, he confuses her and stalks away. Tycran is a warrior and for years has worked toward nothing but revenge against the Orkun. He has thought of nothing else and has lived to fight the enemy. He is so dedicated it is almost a religion to him. His attraction to Lucy will just get in the way, so exerts his well known control and tries to ignore it. He plans to go on a suicide mission against the Orkun, and is not happy when he finds that Lucy has stowed away.

Meg Price and C.J. Grey did the narration on this book, like the rest of the series. They did a fine job, though like I said before, I do like C.J. better than Med and at the very beginning, she did use a kind of annoying voice when Lucy talked, but that was only for a few minutes when she was talking to other women. I liked the journey in this book, there is more intrigue action and battles. I loved that Tycran was so focused and single-minded. He is a great Hero and Lucy is a spitfire.

Oh gawd, the heroine is so annoying, I don't know who would want her. She is pushy and so annoying, throwing little fits when Tycran doesn't reciprocate. And then, when she finally befriends him, she treats him as a subordinate, always telling him what to do. Her inner thoughts just really annoyed me. Their mission was so tedious and boring; they have no connection. Presley Hall is always coming to the defense of stippers as sex workers is a little redundant.
"I’ve always been a more casual fling kind of girl, and when you’re tall, slim with just enough curves, blonde, and blue-eyed, it’s not hard at all to pick up a guy for the night in Vegas…"
What is that supposed to mean? Is it harder for people with different color eyes and hair to pick up a man? You don't have to be a blue eyed blonde to pick up a guy in Vegas, I mean, unless Presley is saying blue eyed blonds are easy pickings and men view them as easy. As long as you have a beautiful face and sexy body, you can be desired by men of all kinds regardless of hair and eye color. Much to her narcissism, she may not be someone's preference. I see this rhetoric much too often in these romance books from conceited authors that are delusional because of how narrow minded they are, and naive to think everyone thinks the same way they do. So, I call it out when I see it because this is the author's mind, not the fictional character. It's a colorist notion that blue eyed blondes do not have trouble picking men up because they are the most desired. *eye roll*

Meh, all these stories are the same after you read the first couple in the series. There’s no real urgency, emotion, angst, nothing. Not bad but also, not good.

Ok book with a good storyline- like another reviewer says, its a suicide run to the death star so it was hard for me to not picture Star Wars at the end there.
I didn't really feel the heat in this one, the stripping angle was interesting.

Did I say Jade & Brele's book was my fav in the series? Well, nvm, because this one takes the cake!

Gah, I love a rigidly controlled, stoic H that finally unleashes himself for the right woman. So delicious and spicy. I especially loved how Tycran made Lucy work so hard to get what she wanted.

There aren't enough romance novels where the h pursues the H, and I really enjoyed that role reversal.

A fantastic read that I had to stay up all night to read! This is a story full of action and excitement mixed with a strange obsession that seems unrequited. I mean, Lucy is bold and Tycran is the coldest fish in the Klaxian sea of men, but she just can't seem to give him up. It took a minute, but once the action started it was non-stop! I really liked Lucy more than Tycran, but eventually, I kind of got him too. I won't give up the plot secrets, but dang, it was impossible to put down once I started reading it!

Pretty good Alien Romance series. Each book is better that the previous one. Lots of hot scenes. This particular story had a very exciting and dynamic plot, very Star Wars like.

Series Overview: This is a cracky kind of SFR where the heroes are all horned, loincloth-wearing and ribbed for her pleasure. The insta-love doesn't bypass the issue of consent and the couples usually have lots and lots o'sex on the road to an HEA. The stories hit many of the familiar tropes and there's a comfort in that. My issues are that Ms. Hall tends to over-explain - why describe a scene with one paragraph when you can use three? That type of thing. It worked in some books for me, but overall, I just think it could have benefitted from some judicious editing. The resolution to their romantic conflict almost always comes very early (heh) in the story. And the sex was fine but this isn't a series that necessarily works as a binge because the samey-ness to the stories really stands out. It's the tropes - depending on which ones are your faves, that's what determines if it works for you IMO.

Individual Books (I would choose your own adventure and read as you like, don't think it's crucial to read in order)

Consumed: Grumpy hero meets sunshine stripper heroine. Crazy plot but fun. 3.5 stars

Lucy has been captivated by Tycran since she first saw him, though the Kalixian warrior doesn’t seem to reciprocate her interest. Despite his distant and stoic demeanor, she notices a glimmer of desire he can’t entirely hide. Maybe he isn’t the monk he appears to be after all. When Lucy learns that Tycran is heading out on a mission to trade, she decides to follow him and uncover more about him. However, she soon finds out that he has secretly gone against orders to undertake a perilous mission: to destroy Oryn, a moon that functions as a laboratory and artillery base for the Orkun. What kind of trouble has Lucy walked into? And how will Tycran react when he discovers that he's not alone on his spaceship?

I can’t think of anything more indicative of our two personalities than the fact that my choice was to strip on stage, and Tycran’s is to start a brawl.-Lucy

I thought I’d like Lucy more, but she ended up annoying me at times, especially at the start. Her intense attraction to Tycran, who clearly wanted nothing to do with her, felt more like a challenge to her than genuine interest. She was initially just looking for a one-night stand, and when the fated mate bond appeared, she was upset about it. While outspoken and usually confident, Lucy struggled with the idea of having a mate, especially given her past relationship, which had been a disaster. I’m glad she eventually came around and accepted the bond. In the second half of the book, she became much more likable—nicer, kinder, and braver. I have nothing against sex work, but it felt like the author focused too much on that aspect of Lucy's character. I would have liked to learn more about her beyond her work.

I want this one—the frustrating, stoic monk of a warrior who seems to be entirely made of stone. He probably goes back to his quarters after training and meditates or something.-Lucy

Tycran also frustrated me at first. I understood that his focus was on his goal of revenge, but his decision to go on a suicide mission seemed plain foolish, even after he realized he was bonded to Lucy and that she was on the ship with him. I was relieved when Lucy helped him regain his composure and come up with a better plan that wouldn't lead him to die. Initially, he was very cold and distant, but as he grew closer to Lucy, he became softer and more protective. I really enjoyed seeing this transformation in him—how he gradually loosened up and learned to embrace affection and love.

They both weren't looking for love or a mate at first but it was nice to see them come around and accept to let the other come close to their heart. They had a nice chemistry when they finally let go of what respectively blocked them from opening up to the mate bond. I think they also made a great team, devoting themselves to their mission. The mission itself was a bit boring at first and slow, but it did pick up and become more interesting in the second half.

Consumed: Fated Mates of the Kalixian Warriors Book 6 by Presley Hall is my favorite book so far in this series. I didn’t think I wanted to read this one because of the blurb. It sounded as if it would be one page of story and ten pages of insta-love over and over again, but I was much pleased that the old axiom that readers really cannot make judgements about books based on the covers alone or in this case—the blurb—was true. The story and characters are fully developed and likeable; there is action and danger enough to keep readers guessing, and finally, yes, there is love and an HEA at the end. Lucy, the female lead and Tycran the “monk warrior” are strongly attracted to each other, but Tycran fights it; he has one mission that is more important to him than a Terran woman—to destroy the horrible Orkuns who are an alien species involved in everything bad in the universe. Defying warrior protocol, Tycran seeks revenge for the death of his family and humanity and sets out on a suicide mission to destroy the Orkun military stronghold. Little does he know that Lucy has stowed away on his ship. Once they realize the inherent stupidity of both their actions, their plans change, and they fight together to destroy the Orkuns and to live. The two become close, though Tycran has fought the attraction from the first so that it would not interfere with his personal mission. After they become close, Lucy tries to fight the attraction because she does not want to be a mate; she just wants a little fun with a handsome alien (Remember the blurb?). I thoroughly enjoyed this book; it’s the first ARC that I have read where I got so involved with the narrative that I forgot to look for errors. I would recommend book 6 of the Fated Mates of the Kalixian Warriors series to anyone who enjoys alien stories.

Passionately exciting!

I never thought it would be possible for this series to continue getting better yet here we are with yet another amazingly written addition! Between two characters who couldn’t have deserved more than what they’ve accomplished, together!

Lucy had never wanted what any of the other Terran girls were feeling with their mates. She’s never wanted to fall in love again, especially since she has been traumatized by the first time. But, she’s experiencing a strong pull towards Tycran, fighting the attraction between them has become too much. After all her hurt, all her pain, convincing herself that she is worth more than a fling is the hardest part.

Tycran has devoted his life to the Alpha Force, eyes and heart set on revenge, never leaving time to enjoy the pleasures of women or give any female a chance to see if she’s his mate. Avoiding Lucy at all costs has become unattainable after she sneaks onto the ship he’s taking to execute his plan for revenge. He has years worth of training to control his urges for her, or so he believes.

There is so much excitement packed into one of the greatest additions to the Khalaxian warriors that will leave you with joy and tears. Between their sexual energy and banter, the amount of desire that ends with passion of these two characters, will leave you hot and bothered, needing a cold shower to cool off.

Lucy has been attracted to him ever since the Galician warriors rescued the women from the terrors of the universe, the Orkun. Tycran is ignoring her, very stoic and never smiles. She finally makes a move on him, he reacts and then runs off. She finds that he is going into space to trade for some goods, so she decides to stow away. Her plan works but he's not happy with her. He diverts from his coarse and tells her the real reason he was doing this alone. They are working together to bomb the nuclear core of an Orkun moon where they have their weapons stores, their scientists with their research and a large contingent of warrior soldiers. They land on a planet and meet with Fox who makes their bombs and gives them the simulation they need to practice bombing the reactor core. They have by then mated and are off to the moon with the bombs. They are successful nd the moon implodes. They get to know each other better on the trip home. They are treated there as heroes, but with a warning there for him not to disobey orders again. There is a great celebration later because of the successful mission and the fact that the Orkun Empire is crumbling. Lucy and Tycran have bought a house just outside the city and are settling in well, even planting a garden. She was a stripper in Las Vegas, so she does a strip tease followed by a lap dance for him. Maybe they made their first child afterwards. Pretty good story, entertaining.

One of my favorites in the series💖

Lucy was one of the women rescued from the Orkun in the first book of this series. She's strong, beautiful and confident in herself. She lived in Vegas her whole life and was a dancer and a stripper. She paid the bills dancing to the best of her own drum. Since she was rescued she's struggled to find her place in this new world she's found herself in. She's giving dance classes but she yearns for something more but she's actually terrified of getting Tycran is a Kalixian warrior who is totally focused on vengeance and destroying the Orkun. Nothing and I mean nothing gets in the way. The other warriors even call him a warrior monk. There is no pleasure no distraction nothing. He hates that he even noticed Lucy. She is a distraction he can't and won't afford. He's appointed himself a suicide mission to takeout an essential Orkun base. No matter how hard he fights the attraction of lingers and sets his heart beating faster. Let's just say a secret end of life mission, a stow away , and a very dangerous adventure set the tone of this tale. Passions surge to the front and unraveling the mystery of each other allows two reluctant lovers to not o oh join forces but realizes their joined hearts and souls will not only be the salvation of their homes but if each other. Totally recommend great entry to the series! I'm really !looking forward to book 7 the teaser at the end has left me wanting more💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

Tycran and Lucy's story is super fast-paced, starting off with two characters that you are absolutely positive the author can't get together. They are too different, too set in their ways, and (literally) from two different worlds. But, Presley Hall works her magic and delivers the impossible.
An amazing, accidental adventure provides just the right backdrop for them to let go of their pasts and embrace the future. Suspend your disbelief, believe in alien mating bonds (who hasn't wished every once in a while that they existed in the real world?!?) and the power of true love.
This book is a great addition to the series, with an extreme version of a dedicated, strong and determined of Kalixian Alpha Force Warrior and a displaced Earth woman who is convinced she is just out for a good time. It's well written, enjoyable, and a quick read. I would recommend it to readers who enjoy alien romance series, and while you could *technically* read it without reading the other books of the series, I think you would be a bit lost, and not get as much enjoyment from the book. You wouldn't understand where the characters were coming from, nor who the secondary characters were.
My advise? Start with book one, settle in, buckle up - it's a great series with decadent naughty bits in it!

I was pleasantly surprised by this book! I had a feeling I wasn’t going to like Lucy and Tycran seemed a bit too serious and focused on revenge. I was so wrong!!! I think this might possibly be my favorite in the series so far. Lucy was strong, smart and courageous. I ended up loving her more than any other female character so far. She didn’t whine when things got tough and she made no apologies for who she is and what she does. You’ve got to respect that. She didn’t want the mate bond and wasn’t looking for it. Instead of fighting it or just jumping in without thinking, she was intelligent enough to take a step back and evaluate all angles. Once she realized the mate bond was true, she didn’t deny it, she made her decision and stood behind it. I really like that about her.

Tycran seemed a bit ‘stick in the mud’ kind of boring, if not a bit hippy-dippy with all his meditation and healthy choice to push his feelings WAY down deep😂
Turns out he was way more passionate than I expected and once he realized Lucy was his Irisa, he no longer tried to fight his emotions. Lucy and Tycran worked well together as a team and I loved how strong they were together.

Lucy has wanted a hot night with one of the Kalixian warriors ever since they rescued the human women from their Orkun captors and has made absolutely no secret how much she likes one particular alien. She has no interest in the fated mate side of things but wouldn't say no to a roll in the sheets with one of them in particular - Tycran. He is so serious and stoic, even though he is also gorgeous, although he does appear to be immune to her flirtations aimed at him. She desperately wants to be the one to light that spark. Yes, it is playing with fire, but then again maybe she wants to get burned?

I really enjoyed this story with all the adventures they had together as well as how they discovered that they could trust each other as well as be equal and take just as important a role in anything that they did. It was also nice to see that he applied his same laser-like focus on their relationship as he did any other mission he had in life. Easy to read and understand. An enjoyable read. Contains explicit sexual content.

Lucy…in the sky with diamonds

Or stars ;) I loved Lucy from the beginning of the series, and her story held up to my expectations. She was exactly as I imagined her to be from the previous books. I found their story to be exciting and action packed. Spy like theft, black market weapon purchasing, and blowing shi* up! Good times. Lucy feels this pull towards Tycran that she just can’t shake. She figures if she can just get a little alone time with him…. Tycran is a soldier through and through. He keeps a super tight control in himself at all times. He feels a strong urge for revenge against the Orkun and has a drive to see that through. When he sees a chance for him to exact revenge he takes it. No matter the cost. Adventure ensues.

I felt the introduction of Rok was possibly someone we may see again. I kinda hope we get his story, he seemed like a very interesting guy, with the super cool chameleon powers. Plus sounded hot!

Tycran is consumed with defeating the Orkun, the aliens responsible for the virus that killed all the females of childbearing age and all the girl children, the same aliens that were stealing women from Earth and other planets for sex slaves.

When Tycran got a tip from an old friend whose life he had saved, an idea is formed, if he can destroy this moon his friend told him of, it will severely impact the Orkun ability to wage war on any other beings. This moon held most of their reserves of metals, weapon designing, ship design and storage, and best of all, the labs where they designed the viruses they used on anyone they wanted to kill or enslave. When he steal a ship to make this a one man mission, he never expected Lucy to stow away on board with ideas of seducing him. Will they be able to cooperate so that Tycran can attempt his mission? Will Lucy be able to seduce him? Is there any future for them when he is planning a suicide run?

I was really looking forwards to Lucy's story and this started out ok but it didn't really have the punch that I was hoping for. I mean don't get me wrong I'm glad the Orkun are out of the picture. That being said, they seemed kind of easy to take down considering what a major threat they were. Whatever, I suppose the next books will have a different focus and I'm here for it.
Back to Lucy. I was expecting a little more in the ways of Lucy trying to seduce Tycran but he having none of it until one day he just gives in and it's explosive ya'll. So I got explosives but just not like that.
I find that once the mating bond hits any reasonable doubts or beliefs the characters had just go out the window and it's immediately true love. Maybe I'm looking for the angst and it's there but it's very short lived. Also there seems to be very little difference in each Kalixian warrior. They are carbon copies of each other; basically interchangeable. I'm probably overthinking this.

I've never been interested in pole dancing. I honestly had never seen it done. After reading the first page of Consumed, I felt I needed to do a little research. Don't you just love how you can find almost anything on YouTube. So, now with my newfound knowledge on pole dancing, I was ready to twirl my way into the rest of this story. Tycran is only interest in his job and what he sees as his mission in life. Lucy is brash and in your face confident on the outside. Unfortunately, her tender inside has a bulletproof shell because of understandable baggage. Fortunately for both of them, Lucy's wild side gets their party going. Presley Hall has a way of making you fall in love with her heroes. Tycran is no exception. I really enjoyed Tycran and Lucy's supercharged adventure and HEA. I can't wait to see what Presley does with Rok's character. Wonder where he'll show up next.

I really enjoy this series, and this book is no different. Each of the stories about the bond between human and Kalixian is so heart warming. As with everyone else on this planet, Tycran has lost everyone he cared about. While he’s happy for his brothers that have found mates with the human women, that’s not in his future. He lives for revenge and has a singularity of purpose that even has some of his fellow warriors commenting.

Lucy wants him, and ain’t giving up that easy. It was satisfying to see him finally drop all the walls he has erected and give in to love. I swear, it warmed the cockles of my heart. Our heroine, Lucy, is pretty brave herself. I love strong female characters like her. She never devolves into moronic bitchiness.

I’m going to go through withdrawal when this series is over.

Lucy and Tycran had an amazing adventure I’m glad I got to go along for the ride! Tycran is a warrior monk who lives a very minimalist life. But when he gets an idea to save the universe from the Orkun scum he feels it’s his duty. Lucy was stripped back on earth and she’s not ashamed of it or her past, it made her the confident woman she is now. But for the life of her she can’t deny the fact that she wants a fling with the Warrior Monk out of all the hot single men (aliens). Lucy also has and idea but she gets wayyyy more then she bargained for. I feel so invested in this series, every book I read gives great world building and it’s almost like you’re apart of their success and love. May Kalix keeping prospering !

Presley Hall has delivered yet again. She has the gift of creating characters that you can't help but fall in love with as you follow their epic adventure. Tycran is a dedicated Alpha Force warrior who has vowed to stop the Orkun. He uses his grief and anger to fuel his revenge since the evil scum killed his entire family at the age of fifteen. Lucy is a vivacious beautiful woman whom seems confident but truly has a soft heart. Lucy thinks she only wants a night in the stoic warriors bed but fate has other ideas for them both. I absolutely love how Presley builds these love stories that have a perfect balance
of adventure and steamy scenes that keeps you entranced. This series has me invested and I cant wait for more♡

After reading the other books in the series, I new that the warriors in the Alpha unit were driven, but I was intrigued that Tycran took it to such an extreme. And the fact that Lucy had set her sight on him and was so drawn to him seemed like the ole "opposites attracts" adage, I first thought, but still waters run deep and both Tycran and Lucy have things in the past that have made them have intimacy issues. However, Lucy wants at least a fling with him and impulsively jumps into the fire during a mission with him that could get them both killed or bring them together. Awesome storyline, great characters, a must read!

Excellent

As with every book in this series the is lots of action. Sexy times action and fighting the horrid enemy Orkun action. Lucy, a former upscale exotic dancer doesn't want a mate she just wants to have some girl fun. Her favorite target doesn't want to have anything to do with her..... no distractions!!! He's on a mission. But our girl is determined and puts herself in an incredibly dangerous situation. The sparks begin and before you know it things progress. She is so brave and smart and he is tired of fighting his attraction to her. The romance is hot hot hot and the mission is scary but I loved it.

Consumed is another great book in the Fated Mates of the Kalixian Warriors series. These books are full of action, angst, chemistry and heat and are a great addition to the Alien romance genre. They are a little different to some of the other series availble in Alien romance as there isn't much humour in these books, but to be honest, you don't really miss it. The stories are so well written and plotted that you find yourself sucked into the adventure. I loved the relationship development in this novel and the chemistry...Wow! When it exploded, it really exploded. If you like Alien romance you should really give this series a go, you won't be disappointed.

I keep reading to see how the writer improves. After the first couple I wasn’t sure if I wanted to continue but it was worth the wait. Definitely in this book there is some improvement, especially to the intimate scenes in terms of variety.

Storyline is actually decent as well for such a short book. Better to read all of the books as the epilogue of each previous one gives you a bit of extra detail for the next one in terms of the characters. I liked the variety in the characters and their longer relationship development in this one as I felt some of the previous books got a bit same-y at times.

Ever since the Kalixian warriors rescued the human females from the disgusting Orkun warlords who abducted them, they've all been doing their best to settle in and make a home for themselves
Revenge and retribution against the Orkun, for so long, that single-minded goal has occupied every part of Tycran's mind and every Kalixian feels the same way.
Book 6 in and I'm loving this series. Looking forward to seeing what happens next.

Boring as fuck, Lucy was annoying for pursuing him JUST for sex as if he was just a piece of meat ( she reminded me of men of this generation , ready to do anything to get in your pants)

In general, I'm getting bored of all Presley Hall books because it's the same stuff again and again. (I finished the Voxerian series.) We have a huge lack of diversity when it comes to the female lead. Not one of her characters is Asian, Black, Hispanic, or Indigenous. As if in her eyes, it's always the white girls who are pretty enough to be abducted. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but still, we need more diversity.
