When did muffins become so deadly?!?

I was expecting long hours and hard work when I reopened my aunt's cafe in the heart of Eagle Cove — but fishing an icy corpse from the lake while delivering muffins?

Definitely not in my plans.

Now I'm getting dragged into danger — again — and tangling with dark secrets I have no business knowing.

Eagle Cove's handsome sheriff wants me safe and on the sidelines. The mayor's convinced I'm a murder magnet. My mom's terrified I might get hurt — or worse.

But with a killer on the loose and so much at stake, I'm determined to protect those I love — even if doing so brings me to the end of my line....

Murder So Cold is a small-town New England mystery packed with murder, mayhem, and secrets galore. Toss in a handsome sheriff and a cast of characters with warm hearts and tart tongues — and what do you get? A deliciously, murderously good time.

I'm crazy about this series. Each episode is so different, yet, the characters become friends.

This one is about Ice fishing which becomes deadly for more than the fish!

Give it a read. I'm being deliberately vague as this book is such a surprise.

Another good book about a small town with some unusual issues

I liked the way the book flowed and the perception of them main character and her friends and community. The things that come to light are shared by a few while a plausible explanation is shared by the community..
