Part 3?

This was a very good read; lots of action to hold your attention, but way too many errors. I felt like the ending was somewhat rushed. If there's a part 3 I would purchase it because it's a great story but get a new editor.

In my Dikembe Mutombo voice ( No no no not in my house) I didn't not like Stacks, I was glad Lala moved out an pissed she went back, but Hey love make us crazy an except sometimes the unthinkable.

This book had potential, but the romance just wasn’t sold well at all. None of the relationships felt real. They only existed because the author said they did, not because the actions on the page supported it. Everything felt more like situationships than actual romance.

Stacks and Lala were the biggest letdown for me. Lala went missing while pregnant, and Stacks’ reaction didn’t match what the story wanted me to believe about him. We’re told he’s this man in the streets, deeply in love, devastated over his woman and unborn child being gone, especially considering his last pregnant girlfriend was murdered. But his actions didn’t reflect that at all. He wasn’t actively searching, wasn’t moving with urgency, and was still entertaining another woman.

Stacks kept saying he loved Lala, yet he was actively dealing with Amanda behind her back. Then, the story introduces Carla from his past, and suddenly he’s making big declarations about stepping down from power for Lala’s happiness for the sake of avoiding Carla. That didn’t hit the way it was supposed to because… he was already funding and sleeping with Amanda. It felt like the author forgot what she had already written.

The timeline of these relationships also moved way too fast. Stacks and Lala supposedly fell in love and got engaged in a very short period of time, before any real foundation was built. Then chaos hit, and instead of tightening their bond, he brought in a placeholder while Lala was healing from being kidnapped and assaulted. That’s not romance.

Lisa and Ralph were no better. He claimed to want something real with Lisa. Ralph slapped Lisa around after he found out she was a stripper. Mind you, he literally just had a stripper giving him a lap dance. He then dumped her, and then was sleeping with Kandi shortly after. That’s not love, growth, or redemption. That’s just wasting women’s time. These ppl jumped into “relationships” without actually dating or building anything, so when cheating happened, it almost felt inevitable. There was nothing solid to protect.

The book struggled to sell any of the romance. The emotions were told to us, but not shown. The couples didn’t feel deeply connected, the stakes weren’t convincing, and the constant contradictions made it hard to believe anyone was truly in love. It wasn’t unreadable, but it definitely needed stronger character consistency.

Hmmmm book 2

This book eas a bit better with consistency bit the grammatical errors were terrible..I am not sure whats up with these publishing companies pushing these books out with so many errors. Note to authors do your own editing before you gice your books over..Just because its urban fiction doesn't mean it has sound ignorant..This aithor gas the potential to be a 5 star author...imo

no

I’m so tired of weak women and men who swear they have no control over cheating. I don’t understand why Stacks was supposed to be that dude but could figure out how to handle Amanda without sleeping with her. And then to move her into his house while his girl was missing??? Nope.

Another awesome read

Man Lucinda has that lethal pen game. She draws you into the story with so much ease that you finish the book in 1 day. The characters absolutely situations are so real you have to remind yourself that this isn't real life. Great job

I loved this book and would definitely recommend if you haven’t started this series to start immediately. The ending left me on edge, but I just know my baby Stackz will pull through.

The title of this book should be, "Some things you just don't see coming!". This book started off with a bang and just kept it going. This was a definite page turner. I was reading this every chance I got. There was drama and betrayal at every turn. I felt bad for the hero and the heroine because everyone was out to destroy them. They couldn't trust anyone but themselves. Now, some of it they brought on themselves, well Stacks did anyway. He became the man Lala fought so hard to get away from. His infidelity nearly cost them everything. Meanwhile, Lala had to deal with an unplanned pregnancy while unknowingly having a target on her back. This book was a lot of fun to read and I can't wait for the next one.

Fallin'........

This was a great read from beginning to end. Finished the book in a matter of hours and was not disappointed. Actually was better than part one to me. That cliffhanger at the end though. I need part three like right now. Great job with this story!

Also a must read

It was also a great read. I didn't won't to put my kindle down. I read one and two in one day.I hate how the book ends I guess all happiness sometimes has to come to an end. Fairy tales don't always come true.

Disrespectful

Stacks was so disrespectful in this book. In the 1st I was team Stacks. In this one I was wishing she would leave him. Reading book 3 now to see what's going to happen.

Fallin for a Boss 2

Oh my… the snakes just keep coming!!!
The drama keeps coming, but retributions don’t linger, best part of series. Stacks keep making the wrong decisions… What will it cost him.

Wow

Wow this was a great book I really enjoyed it. Lucinda John never disappoints. Seems as when Stacks gets rid of one snake there is another lurking. Definitely purchasing part three.
