It's been a year and a half since Nova and Maxon completed their mating... Things were going wonderfully until someone starts sending Nova threatening letters and dead things. Normally, Maxon would've just sent out a search party to find the bastards, but they're smart. They use silver powder on everything making it hard for Maxon and the pack to get anything from it. Not to mention Nova's gifts haven't been working to well lately, and to top it all off Maxon knows Nova is keeping something from him, but he won't push her into telling him; scared he'll push her away. When the threats hit too close to home, Maxon makes a choice that will forever alter his life. Whether it is good or bad Maxon doesn't know yet. All he knows is that he will do anything to keep Nova safe.
This could be a really good story but it was all over the map. There was no flow and it left me with far more questions than answers. The story has a cliffhanger ending which can be ok but there was absolutely no answers or explanations throughout the story which was frustrating. The ending was out of the blue. Just when I felt like the story was beginning to develop it ended. The writing is okay and it is an interesting plot but there's some fine-tuning, editing and story mapping that needs to be done to this book.
On another note, I really do not like the way that Nova treats Maxon. It's unacceptable. Her behavior is very immature and for somebody was supposed to be so powerful and a leader she simply needs to do better.
I really dislikes Nova in this book. She went from a sweet nice girl who was confident to basically a bitch to Maxon. Who treated her like a queen and gave in to her every whim. And Nova was just selfish and mean to him for no reason and hiding secrets from him.
This one was tough to get through. I read it originally in 2020 and it was much more of a rough draft than a finished book. I read it again recently and still there were a bunch of typos, random story jumps that left you not knowing where you were, point of view changes and no true ending. It still feels like an unfinished book. What bothered me the most was the fact a characters name changed from the 2020 version to the newest version which completely through me. I nearly did not finish this due to how frustrating it was but I did finally.

The ending is horrible, this book doesn't even make sense. We knew she is danger and it was obvious at the beginning of the book. The author really needs to put more work into the book
I've had this book in my kindle unlimited for a bit and forgot about it. I love the story Of Nova and Mason and the way the first book ended I was frustrated but finding there were more books was brilliant but again this book has ended on a cliffhanger and I'm hoping there's another one. Nova and Mason have been through so much you want them to find happiness but it doesn't seen possible. So many people want Nova for her powers. This more has so many ups and downs you get dizzy!! but it makes the story better. Its a good version of a fated mates story. I recommend it to shifter fans.
There are definitely editing issues with this book. Missing words, misspelled words and character names, etc. The story itself is good, unique enough to be interesting. The main issue I had was how difficult it was to tell where you were in the timeline, or whether or not the character was having a premonition or a real-time experience. There are just a lot of missing connections between scenes and chapters, the timeline and storyline suffer from those connections not being fleshed out. It feels like there are gaping plotline holes that need to be filled.
After the 1st book I was really looking forward to this but to say it was a let down is an understatement. The book has no flow, it jumps all over the place, Nova has completely changed her characters personality poor Maxon.. then ontop of all that it just ends its not even a cliffhanger because I'm not even sure I know what's going on. Please explain in the next book 📖
This book needs some major editing and is very hard to follow. I never could tell if I was reading from the past, present, or a dream/premonition. The story jumps around between so many characters as well. I'm just guessing that there should also be a part 3 coming as there is no conclusion.
