A trilogy of books that follow Crimson (FMC) a Witch and a Wolf Charmer. How she copes in a new world one she knows little about when she moves from the US to the UK after she inherits a house and all the complications that come with that. One being cruel family members and wolves that their sole purpose is to be slaves. Being used and abused by entitled Witches. I really liked the relationship between Crimson and all the guys (Wolves - Moon, Amadeus and Emperor, Angels - Mischief and Ramiel and Mage Aquilo. Dark, Vicious and Seductive with a few laughs but overall a great read. i really enjoyed reading all three books so much

I was going to add each of my reviews from each separate book, but I realized that would make this review so long, people wouldn’t want to read it. So I’m going to recommend giving this series a try, because Crimson is a fantastic leading character. This is a whole new world to her, and she’s learning as she goes. We have angels and wolves, and they all come together to make a family that is big on consent, and big on breaking archaic rules. It’s ranges from swoony, to funny, to heartbreaking, and everything in between. It’s a must read that gives you all the feels.

This is completely different than most paranormal and shifter book and its sooo good!!!.
Crimson was brought up away from the Coven not knowing that she was a Witch or even that she was a Wolf Charmer. So after moving from the States to Oxford in the UK and suddenly becoming Rich with a large house she realises that she has also inherited a cruel and sadistic family.
The Coven sought to control her and she broke every rule for love! Love of the Wolves and love of the Angels. Snarky, Sarcastic and sadistic personalities come together in these books but there is also Humour, love and endearment along with so much compassion you will need a tissue or two along the way.
There are twists and turns, its faced paced in places with plenty of excitement and sexual tension in an exciting world – The storey builds throughout the books and by the end has you completely enthralled.

Fantastic box-set!

You know when you get one of Rosemary John's books it's going to be awesome!! But this series is just epic. It will keep you reading and on the edge of your seat until the last book is done. Crimson was taught three things . Don't fall for the sinfully beautiful werewolves. Never be seduced by the wicked beauty of a beta. And never be tempted by the cursed protection of an Alpha She was called back home because she was the last of the Wolf Charmers. When she gets back what do you think she did? Yep.... She broke all 3 rules LOL But who could blame her.

This series is off the charts, once you start reading you can't stop. It is full of action, you get sexy werewolves around every corner. And a character from a previous series comes back in this series. If you love werewolves, vampires and other paranormal characters this series is for you! And on a scale of 1 to 10 on the steamy scenes meter this is 11+..........Honestly grab this box-set now you will love it!!!!!

Crimson arrives in Oxford having lived in America most of her life. Her Aunt informs her that she is a witch and a wolf charmer. "The Crimson Tide" Crimson receives a wolf Moon as a gift from her Aunt. All wolves are the slaves of witches. Crimson is the witch the wolves fear most. Crimson starts to build her harem with more wolves and a few angles. She has to undertake challenge's to discover who she really is a wolf charmer or a wolf saviour.
these books are well written and the characters well thought out and lovable.
I love these books and look forward to reading Rosemary Johns next series.

not bad, good elements

Overall, I enjoyed it but there was also a lot of backstory at inappropriate moments and sometimes it felt like info dumping. Like in the middle of a coup d’état is not the best time to be talking out your past trauma. Like, there was a lot of word building and interesting elements but I think it suffered some in execution.

And I genuinely didn’t get why she had such a hard time letting go of her whole revenge quest thing when she was presented with like decades of proof and more that would suggest it was built on lies.

I would also say that for the most part, I felt the various guys that are meant to be her love interests have better chemistry with each other. I mean, she’s the main character and she often felt like a third wheel in her own relationships with them. It didn’t help that they were so physically affectionate with each other (and sometimes like random other characters) while not always being as affectionate with her—Moon not kissing her on the lips. Also them calling her enemy and constantly lecturing her about how witches are untrustworthy or just generally not trusting her for most of the series, even after she basically was ready to die for them in book 1. And then like there were never clear lines of who was with who and like siblings were dating the same person but also dating others. It was just a web of everybody’s sleeping with everybody.

It was also a little repetitive in how often it brought up her memory of seeing Moon in the Rejected cage.

Bit spoilery: And after so much time, would have been nice if she ever like…learned to control her own powers. She’s supposed to be the most powerful witch and like the chosen one or whatever and yet she keeps getting slapped down by others and her own insecurities. For having this great power, it seemed to be a bit useless more often than not. And going back to insecurities, still towards the very end after everything they’ve been through some random stranger is like “they’ve been playing you” and she’s like “omg have they?!” This comes up so many times and each time she reacts the same even though at this point they have basically been ready to die for her at multiple points, she needs to get over it.

Johns really knows how to kick off a series, once again (her Rebel Academy #1 did this too) sucking me in within minutes. I also couldn’t help but notice the excellent writing.

And in typical Johns fashion, there is more to love here than I could ever list! But I’ll give it a go:

Audiobook—narrator is great! Very smooth reader. At times, there was a bit of buzzing in the background, but it was always over within a few seconds and only mildly distracting. Music plays at the end of each chapter—very cool in theory, but it drowned out the narrator, as it played over her. Overall, it’s a good way to spend 25+ hours.

Overall:
4-star story.
5-star performance.
3.5-star production.

A grand adventure-- Game of Thrones meets Charmed, or something like that. Crimson is a witch who returns to England after a decade, back to the nightmare where her parents were brutally murdered by the enemy werewolves. There's infighting with the witches, infighting with the wolves, and of course the witches and wolves have to fight with each other. I like how Crimson and her pack of 3 werewolves, 2 angels-- one an addict and one a god, a mage for a husband, and a dog magicked out of a silk blanket are set to bring down a revolution on the oppressor's of males in both the Wolf Kingdom and the Witch Houses.

That said, I do not feel this is really a romance, not because of the polyamory because, you know, more love. I got the distinct feeling that Crimson was the odd witch out with her pack. Maybe because she lost a decade, but if she hadn't and had been taught by the witches, she'd be a wolf murderer like the rest of them. So, the separation had to happen and relationships take awhile to develop and the story (all three books) only spans less than a month. Sex scenes? There are a couple, but more eluding to sexy times than anything.

All in all, a good way to pass a rainy evening.

Rebel werewolves is a shifter enemies to lovers RH with Omegas, Beta, Alphas, witches, angels and gods. Includes submissive males and mm content.


When Crimsons parents are killed by a pack of wolves she is sent to live with her uncle. After she turns 21 she returns home to fulfil her birthright as the last wolf charmer and claim her wolves.
As a wolf charmer Crimson is able to control wolves and will be gifted 3 Omega princes to be her charms.

From here the things gets abit blurry, and the only reason I finished the book is because it came as one instead of three. The world is some sort of bad domanatrix BDSM nightmare where the males are abused and degraded, all the H’s are submissive frightened pups more interested in each other then the FMC and Crimson just felt like a unwanted guest to their lovefest. There are random characters thrown in that don’t really make any sense and some scenes cut off in a fade to black way and I found myself having to go back and re read parts because it didn’t always make sense or I felt I was missing a vital piece of information.

I read an excerpt of the beginning of book 1 and I was hooked as Crimson picked her first charm.

There are so many enemies trying to out maneuver the other that it is hard to figure out who is really the bad guy. I loved how the pack builds and becomes a group that no one expected. It is build by love that requires trust even when giving it risks everything.

My only wish is that the ending allowed us to enjoy more before the story was over. Leads into next series, but after all they have been through, I would have loved to see them get to enjoy their hard won time together. Otherwise a story that felt epic while reading and kept me glued to my kindle until the very end.

Crimson returns from America to take up position as The Wolf Charmer in a magical world of Witches and Wolves. She realises she has more enemies than friends and some are out to get her from set go. She is given 3 Wolf princes who she has to train but not get close to or to trust but she goes against what she is told. She soon realises their are witches in her coven that don’t want peace between the witches and wolves and it’s up to her and her mates to end this war and bring total peace once and for all. I really enjoyed listening to this series I enjoyed Erin Mc Garry’s narration this is a first listen by her .

unexpected!

This book was a hard read. It stalled in many places. It felt with very hard themes. Violence. Death. Betrayal. Family drama and warped dynamics.
Woman are the alpha holes and they are in charge. Men and boys are abused and degraded. As a mother of both young boys and grown boys, these concepts pissed me off.
There are many trigger warnings. The abusive love some mothers have, and horrible neglect.
I’m glad for the happy ending. I kept reading for that alone. To finish it and get done resolution.
This hit too close to home for me on many topics. While it was a hard read for me, it might be fine for others.

Missed potential

I want to stay by saying I read a later series by this author and it was so much better. I do highly recommend her books, maybe not this one though....

I love the characters and the overall idea behind the story. However the back story and writing in general is chaotic. I think with some good editing and a little bit of rewriting, it could be a single (longer) book or at most a duet.

Honestly no idea how this book has any 5 star reviews. It seems more like a decent start to an outline for a book. The plot is everywhere and nowhere all at once. How many "main" characters do you need?!? I read it as fast as possible to get to the end. Which also was just like so here's the end with no real end.
