WTF!!!! This was an epic story. I couldn’t put it down.... not even for a second..
This story is dark, hot, filthy, and everything you will need in a book.
Lucian has taken the crown of the most alpha, filthy mofo of all time.
Lucian and Elena was so perfect for each other. One loves to give pain while the other loves to feel it. How f*cked up is that.
Elena was slowly dying because of everything she had to endure while growing up and not having anyone on her side. The last person she thought that would be her rock was the one person that will avenge her.
Lucian came into her life like a wrecking ball and although he was supposed to make her suffer, little did he know that his punishment is something that she craves. He hates her and her family but the pull she has on him is something that not even him can stop. It was a force he did not see coming.
Two beautifully broken soul come together and show one another that they can be loved.
Jade West I applaud you 👏👏👏. I can’t wait until the next book comes out. This is a book I will be rereading more than once.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Read this one in a day, couldn’t put it down. Is there such a thing as an alpha female? I mean I hear strong, fierce, independent but I want to make an alpha-female a thing because that’s what Elaine is. This girl can’t help herself from talking back or poking a bear that is Lucian Morelli if her life depended on it. And it does... depend on it but she just truly doesn’t care. These two! 😂 I mean it’s a dark story, it really is but the banter between Lucian and Elaine is so ridiculous sometimes as if they’re little kids trying to one up the other. I wanted to go in there and play referee. I loved it though, it brought humor to the crazy dark, disturbing world they lived in.
Without revealing too much about book two, Elaine and Lucian find themselves in a situation where they can only rely on one another. They hate each other, or they believe they do since that’s what was ingrained in them since they were kids. Ofcouse they’re both too stubborn and too proud to notice that they’re starting to see each other in a different light. Secrets from the past are revealed and by the end of the book Lucian is on a mission to right all the wrongs committed against Elaine risking his own life in the process. There’s so much angst, hate, anger, passion, but also glimpses of how good they could be for each other if they only let go of the past. By the end of the book It’s basically them against the world and can’t wait to see how that unfolds.

Lucian Morelli made a move he couldn’t come back from. With Elaine Constantine's disappearance shifting the warring families’ dynamic, their own hatred for each other started to evolve into something they couldn’t comprehend.
I like the darkness in the story, but this book and book 1 would have been so much tighter as a single book. The plot progression was too slow, with unnecessary fillers that didn’t add much to the story.
With that said, I loved both Lucian and Elaine. They had a strong emotional and sexual chemistry, and while their interactions can be intense, some were also quite amusing.
Soulless is the second book in the Star-crossed Lovers trilogy. Here’s hoping the final book will end it with a bang.

Bizarrely enough, I felt safer next to the monster than I had anywhere else in the whole damn world. Nobody would ever get to me in this place . . . Nobody but the monster himself . . .
With that said, I loved both Lucian and Elaine. They had a strong emotional and sexual chemistry, and while their interactions can be intense, some were also quite amusing.

And the story continues with the disdain of Lucian and Elaine. Book two starts where book one ended. The trilogy should be read in order.
I love Lucian, such a perfect anti-hero/hero. His obsession with Elaine has crossed new boundaries, and what a web he has weaved. She is a masochist to his sadist. Elaine is no damsel and will not break. It's great to see how she pushes Lucian’s boundaries. Again the chemistry is off the charts.

We were magnets, drawn to our vile polarity. Both of us transfixed by the black magic of our flesh.

Continuing without interruption in the timeline, Lucian and Elaine are at a turning point and the tension is notched up to full heat. Due to Elaine’s past, she can no longer hide and she is ready to be free of her secrets. For Lucian, he is fully prepared to cross the Constantine-Morelli feud line to take what he wants and make Elaine pay for it.
Told in dual POV, the narrative shifts between Elaine and Lucian as they come to terms with their feelings toward each other. Elaine is drawn to the monster inside Lucian and she craves the pain he can give to her. Together, they are combustible.
On the surface, Elaine appears like a spoiled rich girl and maybe not that likable, but her pain makes her redeemable and I like her fiery personality toward Lucian. As for Lucian, everything about him screams control, which makes him appear untouchable. The constant push-pull and forbidden nature between Elaine and Lucian continues to be intriguing. Though I wanted a little more action, I enjoyed this dark erotic story and cannot wait to read how it all ends in Relentless.

Honestly,I liked this book better than the first one(Heartless) because
we get to know more about Lucian and Elaine.It explains their actions and why they are the way they are.Especially when it came to Elaine,in the first book(Heartless) I didn't understand why she is suicidal and I didn't like her that much but this book changes it all and I used to think Lucian is psycho or something but again this book changes it all .
Coming to the plot: Past of Elaine and Lucian is told and it's a Jade West book and you know what to expect ... and it's delivered with even more steam and hotness 🔥🔥
Overall I enjoyed this book so much definitely recommend it .

What’s this book about? (I'm trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
You must read Heartless by Jade West first to understand the plot.
Wow. After I read Heartless, the two main characters of the book stuck with me. It was a tough cliffhanger to survive, and when the beautiful Soulless arrived on my Kindle, I couldn’t wait to read it!!! These two are explosive. I love spending time in their world of hurt, lust and trauma. I relate to them, and I want them to find their HEAs. Book 2 was full of emotional drama and openness. I can’t wait to see how this ends in the next book. Elaine and Lucian are for sure taking us on a wild ride with this trilogy!

Ever since that explosive ending of the first book this one has been high on my anticipated Releases list!! The way the story unfolds had me gripping my kindle tight and nit being able to take my eyes off for even a second!
The hate these two had for each other was so hot!! I have never read a hate love story that depicted the emotions to such an amazing extent! Elaine is now the clutches of Lucian and there is no way he is letting her go. It is time for him to break her and then put back the pieces together according to his style. My heart hurt so much for Elaine. The girl that everyone saw from outside was nothing compared to the brokenness she had from the inside. And when she confessed her secrets , the pain that had , I absolutely broke. She deserved so much better.
It took some time but Lucian finally saw that the girl he was trying to break was already broken. Her mind so fragile that he could snap it in a second. That is when he decided that he had to actually put her back together. But their path was not that easy. A lot of enemies were there who would gladly destroy the peace they had!
A definite recommendation to all the dark Romance lovers out there! Jade West is the Queen of Dark Romance and there is no way you guys can miss this Masterpiece!

Jade West took me to another level of mindf**k and filthy passion in Soulless. This story sucked me right in with flawed yet unforgettable characters and their dark emotions. It shocked me. It stunned me. It made me fall even harder for this debauched and twisted world.
Morelli and Constantines are two powerful, corrupt and vicious families always at war.
Elaine Constantine was ready to die. And their family enemy Lucian Morelli kidnapped him. He planned to destroy her heart and own her body with his games. But the society princess broke him down instead. Their connection is toxic. Will it destroy them or bring them redemption?
This story had mind bending character development that made this even better and intriguing. Lucian never stops making my jaws drop and my eyes widen in disbelief with his dark tainted heart. He is unhinged. Violent. Volatile. Cold. Indifferent. Intense. Dominating. Finding pleasure in pain of others. But what made him a special kind of antihero is the why. Why has he become such a monster? I read with fascination and rapt attention as the tale delved into his psyche. His past. Elaine penetrated his armour. How fearless is this girl? I recoiled and shook while reading about the horrid past that has broken her so badly. But she stood up and looked into eyes of the monster. They have a dark and depraved bonding. Elaine's tortured soul and need for pain is like a siren call to Lucian. Lucian's rough but oddly caring ways healed Elaine from inside. The steam factor was beyond any scale. My only complain is I need more and more. Because they need to find their happily ever after beyond the family feud.
Soulless by Jade West is a must read for any dark romance lovers. I am having such a bad book hangover. I am obsessed with this deviant, enticing and explosive world.

This series is stupidly repetitive, and it has no other plot but that they hate each other. Every other paragraph is the H thinking he hates and will kill her.
At 70% in book 2, the h is still a virgin! Talk about dragging out a series to sell more books!🙄
I’m DNFing this book because we learned why the H is obsessed with the h, and it’s a fucking turn off!
I can’t imagine any girl finding this romantic, but the h reminds him of his first love🤢, our h looks so much like the girl from his school that he’s fixated on her. And apparently he’s still not fully over her. That girls also the first girl who’d captivated his fetishes. The first girl he had sex with, etc. So apparently the h is just a clone. That’s so flattering, said no girl ever! “I like you, because you look like my ex”…..Is there a bigger turn off than this? I’ve instantly lost all enchantment with this couple, moving on. 🙄

even though i loved the forced proximity in this book, i wish it had more smut. like i just can't believe she stayed a virgin until like the last chapter of this book. i want FP with some action man sorry not sorry.
the plot was lacking and idk what will happen but i'm actually glad that some killing is happening LMAOOO.
i love the couple but i'm still so angry at elaine's mom and siblings/cousins. like how dare you not believe her omg.

That being said, I'm not sure I've ever read two more perfectly imperfect people, perfectly suited for one another. They are fire and brimstone and I'm a little in love with them both.
Obviously, or hopefully lol, if you’re here, reading this review and have not read Heartless, you need to walk away because, trilogy.
The character development in this leg of the trilogy is extensive and so well done that I want to sing Jade West’s praises from the top of every rooftop! I’ve already said this, but Elaine & Lucian are the ultimate ying & yang. This trilogy released a few years ago, so there are plenty of reviews you could read that will more than likely describe in detail the perfect storm that is Elaine and Lucian, so I won’t waste your time with that! What I will say is that both Lucian and Elaine have a tortured past, but Elaine’s is suffocating to my soul. THIS.WOMAN. My gawd! She is fearless despite her past and she owns her power. Lucian is volatile and on the surface one might say a monster, but not Elaine, and that is the beauty of Lucian & Elaine!
I’ve read quite a few stories in the Midnight Dynasty world and some have been rather shocking but this one is next level, and I am so ridiculously happy that an author with the talent that Jade West has is the one to tell this tale.

That being said, I'm not sure I've ever read two more perfectly imperfect people, perfectly suited for one another. They are fire and brimstone and I'm a little in love with them both.
Obviously, or hopefully lol, if you’re here, reading this review and have not read Heartless, you need to walk away because, trilogy.
The character development in this leg of the trilogy is extensive and so well done that I want to sing Jade West’s praises from the top of every rooftop! I’ve already said this, but Elaine & Lucian are the ultimate ying & yang. This trilogy released a few years ago, so there are plenty of reviews you could read that will more than likely describe in detail the perfect storm that is Elaine and Lucian, so I won’t waste your time with that! What I will say is that both Lucian and Elaine have a tortured past, but Elaine’s is suffocating to my soul. THIS.WOMAN. My gawd! She is fearless despite her past and she owns her power. Lucian is volatile and on the surface one might say a monster, but not Elaine, and that is the beauty of Lucian & Elaine!
I’ve read quite a few stories in the Midnight Dynasty world and some have been rather shocking but this one is next level, and I am so ridiculously happy that an author with the talent that Jade West has is the one to tell this tale.

Book 2 starts exactly where Heartless left and we see Elaine following Lucian in anticipation
This couple is pretty twisted to begin with, add to that Elaine revelation of him being a provider of pain she so desperately craves, I'm gonna say..things are gonna get pretty unstable pretty fast. They're both sort of kindred spirits, each gluing together their broken souls to put on a show. Lucian is cruel and heartless, and Elaine is on a destructive streak.
Here's where jade turns them around and these tattered bodies hanging on to each other, end up saving them.
There's nothing subtle about their collision. It is noisy, it's volatile, it's passionate
All the ingredients that make an ordinary book, a Jade special!!

I enjoyed this one a bit more than the first book. Their relationship progressed immensely throughout the book and it was great to see the length Lucian would go through for her and how much they might deny their feeling but the reality was inevitable.
The book starts off right after book 1 ended with Lucian kidnapping her. Also please believe that kidnapping is loosely used since they both want to be together all the time so much so he barely cares about work and has given up his quest to being the CEO and taking over his father.
We finally get all the information concerning her upbringing and what happened to her. The “fellowship” a group of disgusting men led by her uncle abused her and r*led her constantly. Once Lucian finds out about this and gets the names of the men he sets out on making sure they don’t ever exist. He decides to kill them for her and if that doesn’t scream love then idk what?
Also after much teasing and talks she finally loses her virginity on her terms to the man she loves and who loves her enough to give up his entire world for her.

Lucian Morelli and Elaine Constantine have more in common than they realized. Yes, they have grown up in powerful families used to getting everything they want by whatever means necessary. But both have carried secrets their entire lives that have shaped and molded them into who they are today. The more time they spend together, secrets are revealed, truths are told and those pesky butterflies called feelings start taking flight. It's not long before Lucian starts to realize that Elaine is the ying to his yang.
Lucian is brutal in his ways, but I admire Elaine for standing true to herself with her sass and wit. She thrives on his cruelty and is energized by it. However, the enigmatic businessman isn't everything he appears to be. Lucian doesn't understand his wandering thoughts and lack of interest in all things Morelli, but can't deny it started the moment he laid eyes on Elaine. She is clouding his judgment, but he's ensnared by her mere presence.
The Morelli and Constantine families are mortal enemies, born and bread to hate each other. Can Lucian and Elaine find their HEA even when their lives are at stake?! I guess we'll have to wait for the final installment to find out 🖤🖤🖤

This man's dark, twisted, deviant ways have captivated me page after page of his spellbinding mindfuckery! Elaine's pain runs deep and through her words you feel her tortured soul and understand her need to end it all. What a pair these two make with the unraveling of their story and the seduction that builds the longer these two are stuck together.
I read this book, immersed in the story not being able to put it down no matter the violent, twisted, craziness that bleed through the pages because it more than made up for it with the intense, scorching chemistry that enthralled me every step of the way. This is definitely a story that is UNPUTDOWNABLE and a MUST READ!!

I really want to 1 star this book because I didn't really enjoy the bdsm torture, pain romance AND getting raped and groomed by a bunch of dirty old men including your uncle - bleck!!!! but I will give it 2 stars because I knew going in it was rough. I had just REALLY hoped the story had more meat to it. I did do a pretty good job of skimming and just tried to pull out the Constantine and Morelli back stories - but there really wasn't much info...just pretty basic background that they are enemies. So we got zero answers as to why the families hate each other. I don't really think these Midnight dynasty series' are going to have that much cross over amongst each other - which isn't necessarily a bad thing....just good to not expect it!! Onto book 3 to see if there is anything I can vibe with in this trilogy.

We start where book one’s cliffhanger left us with Lucian kidnapping Elaine. And although he’s trying to deny his feelings and sees this as a means to an end, he takes her to a place that’s sacred to him so that she can’t be found and can be his puppet to bend at his will.
I love Lucian’s supreme alpha personality, his dominance and need for power oozes from the pages and his need for vengeance overpowering, I can’t wait to see him with all his fury in the conclusion.
Elaine, I loved the change in her, from uptight to someone more relaxed. Although she does have her darkness and her story is chilling, she’s a fighter, keeps her secrets and can easily stand up to her big bad tormenter.
When they both relax a little I had to laugh at the domestic of them, they are a funny pair.
We get more of Lucian and Elaine together in this book, which I loved, although I did enjoy the cat and mouse games of book one with Lucian in stalker mode! This is such a great dark read, really dark at times and one I couldn’t put down. It’s dark and sexy and I can’t wait for the conclusion.

Welcome back into Elaine and Lucian story with a second opus that starts off where we left them in Heartless, the first opus of the Starcrossed Lovers Trilogy.
If you like an intense banter, a sassy, albeit jaded heroine and a class A asshole, you'll love the romance these two damaged souls embark on.
Jade West wrote an enjoyable second installment, sexy, tension filled with fun moments that had me laughing.
The author explored her characters' demons and their hate for each other to bring out a darkness I loved. Yet, the numerous repetitions somehow broke a pace that ended up being at times very slow whereas the outcome, on the contrary felt a tad rushed.
However, with the pressure of their families and the revenge mission they seem to engage in, I can't wait to see how their couple will evolve.

Holy Wow- this book was dark and twisted and I devoured it! I feel like we just scratched the surface in Heartless, but this book really gave us the layers that created these two flawed souls in Lucian and Elaine. The dual POV here is on point as we get start to understand what makes both of these character's tick and how their terrible childhoods contributed to the monsters that haunt them. Lucian just seemed like the Devil but in this book, we get to delve into why he is such an anti-hero. And Elaine- my heart just broke for her as we realized just how depraved her family was and how they broke her spirit bit by bit. I just loved the evolution of their relationship as they revealed their secrets to each other and OMG the steam between the two of them lit my kindle on fire! Cannot wait to get more of their story!!!

This book was a huge shift in this series for me. Lucian and Elaine both battle their feelings and intentions with one another while war breaks out among the families.
I loved the character development of both Lucian and Elaine in this book!!! It kept me riveted and falling for Lucian as a man, rather than a dominant narcissist. Both characters reveal secrets, vulnerabilities and emotions that will keep you glued to the pages.

It was both surprising and refreshing to see how both Lucian and Elaine were able to break down their walls with each other. The way in which Lucian expresses his feelings for Elaine is all-consuming from the passion to the vengeance and I was caught up in every second of it!
Well done once again J West...I am anxiously awaiting the final book of this series!

Jade is an amazing author and I will read anything she writes. She really ousbed boundaries with this book and I am so excited to see where the next book takes us.
Lucian is back and he is as ruthless and Cruel as he was in the first book.
Elaine is a kind of broken, with many secrets that he wants to uncover.
The book is steamy and if you loved the first book, this one will leave you craving for more.

Absolutely love Elaine, I loved that she is so desperate for help and she doesn't even know it. Her story is heartbreaking. I find Luican to be unpleasant lol. The way he speaks to her is disgusting but I love him lol. Them together is amazing. They are so hot. I even loved that he is a sadist. Well he kind of it. They are just perfect.
Reason for only 4 stars is because of the writing. I reading the same stuff over and over again. I had to look past it because I loved the story so much.
