4.5 - it's very basic but good for a reminder or brief overview of some Celtic tales and traditions. I would definitely recommend it to someone who wants an easy start with Celtic culture if they haven't explored it before.

This is a short intro survey book on Celtic mythology. I’ve certainly read worse survey books than this one, though I hear books are meant as first steps to learn about something and are usually very brief and a bit arbitrary with their placement of information. I liked that this book broke down Celtic mythology by location and concept, noting some of the key differences between different areas. In this book there is a brief intro of the major Celtic gods/goddesses, heroes/heroines, legends and myths, fairy tales, and a sort of mythological guide to various monsters/supernatural beings. I left this book wanting to learn more so I think I’d consider it a successful book of its ilk.

Good if you're reading for knowledge. If you are expecting a story I wouldn't get your hopes up MANY grammatical errors.
