Although this is part of a series you can actually read this as a stand-alone.

This story is told in only the way that this well known author can, superbly.
It’s rich characters come to life in your head and chipped in with some painful realty problems which you as the reader get involved with and feel their pain, their frustrations and later the joy.

Joy within this family unit comes from an unexpected corner. Mrs Miracle.

This was an enchanting read with plenty to get your teeth into and enjoy Christmas feelings.

Debbie Macomber is a popular author with many series. One being a televised drama series.
Hallmark has many films based on stories from this author.
There are over 170 million books of hers worldwide.

A Mrs. Miracle Christmas by Debbie Macomber is the eleventh book in the contemporary romance Angelic Intervention series. Each book of this series is going to feature a new lead couple so the books can be read as a standalone or in any order and understood although some characters do carry over book to book keeping to the Angelic theme.

This holiday season Laurel and Zach McCullough are a young couple who want nothing other than to start a family of their own but fate hasn’t been on their side just yet. When Laurel’s grandmother, Helen, begins to need around the clock help the couple move in with her but still find themselves looking for an extra hand.

The agency Laurel contacts tells her no one is available but soon Mrs. Miracle arrives and turns out to be just what the family needs. Helen begins to look and feel so much better however Laurel and Zach get a touch concerned when Helen begins insisting Mrs. Miracle is an actual real angel sent to help them.

Most contemporary romance fans will be familiar with Debbie Macomber’s stories so I shouldn’t need to say how wonderful her writing is but I will anyway for those that may not have tried her books yet. I hadn’t read the others in this series but the story flows smoothly as if a standalone and such a beautiful, touching holiday read it was. Definitely recommend.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

In one of Debbie Macomber’s angel stories, Mrs. Miracle is sent to the home of Laurel and her grandmother Helen as a caretaker. They could both use some miracles this Christmas as Laurel and her husband have been struggling with infertility, and Helen is struggling with memory loss. Full of Christmas cheer and small signs from above, this angel-filled story is as cozy as a peppermint latte on a snowy day.

If you read no other Christmas book this holiday season let me assure you this is the one you want to read. I've read all of the author's angel books and thought I had read this one as well until I realized to my utmost delight this is a new Shirley,Goodness and Mercy book. She started with her angel books in the late nineties so I had no idea she would write a new one.
This is truly what you want in a Christmas book, heartwarming in so many ways wrapped up in cookies and tea with a strong helping of faith and a belief of miracles.

This is a book that many will love, but I don’t think I was in the right mood for it. Although it had a happy ending, I found the other 90% of the story kind of depressing.
Topics covered:
-Caring for parents/ grandparents with dementia
-Infertility
-Confusion about ones marriage and happiness

Angels and good feelings aside, I don't think this is one of Macomber's best. I found the dialogue repetitive and none of the characters particularly engaging. Mrs. Miracle was brought in as a care giver for a dementia patient but after the first chapter the dementia no longer seemed at issue. I also found Laurel's sudden and extreme change of heart over the baby issue bothersome.
Not necessarily the light hearted and warm hearted story I've come to expect from this author. I do think fans of D. M. will enjoy this quick read.

A cup of cheer for “A Mrs. Miracle Christmas”! Absolutely loved this one. Thank you so much for allowing me the opportunity to enjoy this book well in advance of the release date. It brought my heart such joy! I have to say, to date, this is most likely one of my most favorite reads by Ms. Debbie! Perhaps it was the theme, or the timing of the story. I needed to come home to a tale such as this, these past few weeks! Having a rough day and then reading something to fun, uplifting and heart warming, I mean seriously how could it not make my heart happy! And, we just had some friends who were waiting for such a long time, just like Laurel and Zach, for their miracle to arrive. And it reminded me of them, and their journey. Things do work out as they should, when they should. And we all have a Mr.s Miracle in our corner if we look closely and pay attention.

This book was so well written, on point, heartwarming and just a wonderful read all around. I would recommend this for anyone in the midst of adoption, as a holiday read and I already have three people who I intend on purchasing this one for for Christmas.

4.5 stars for a Christmas read that shows me why Debbie Macomber is a #1 NYT bestselling author.
Mrs. Miracle is a delight as she goes about her duties with grace and great skill. Zach and Laurel need her help as a companion for Laurel's grandmother. Little do they realize that Mrs. Miracle has additional plans for them. Macomber injects her sense of humor and names a trio of angels Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy. Explores the issues of infertility and aging with grace and compassion, this book was a delight to add to my 2019 Christmas experience. Great for fans of Jan Karon and Richard Paul Evans.

This is a quick easy read about a caregiver, who is really an angel, who comes to take care of elderly lady named Helen. Helen lives with Laurel and her husband Zach. Mrs. Miracle is a god send and soon Helen has a new lease on life. Mrs. Miracle lets Helen in on secrets about a baby who is coming soon to adopted by Laurel and Zach.

Mrs. Miracle is a Christmas tradition and I was thrilled to get to read this beautiful, miraculous story!

’It was the season, after all, and this year, for sure. The season of miracles.’

description

Disappointment after disappointment in conceiving or adopting a child has left Laurel with a lack of faith. She’s resigned herself to being childless and thought her husband, Zach, had done the same. With the diminishing health of her Nana also weighing her down, they are thrilled when Mrs. Miracle arrives to help with Nana’s daily care. But when Laurel realizes that Zach hasn’t completely let go of the longing for a child, their marriage ends up on shaky ground.

This was such a heartwarming story. I loved each and every one of these characters as they struggle with their own heart aches, losses, and longings. Laurel was living a life not quite complete and unable to totally let go of the heartache past disappointments had hurled at her. Zach only wanted his wife to find complete happiness in all things and went to extraordinary lengths to make it so. Nana, suffering from dementia, often lost herself in past memories as well as those of her husband who had died years before. And Mrs. Miracle was hope and joy in every word and action.

description

With so much heartache, this is a rather angsty read, but at the heart of it all is hope and love. Despite this being a relatively fast read, this was such a richly developed story in both characterization and plotline. Of course, we know that there’s going to be a happy ever after, but the getting there was often painful. Even with all that angst, there is plenty of humor and smiles as well as a deep romance that survives the darkest of days.

As always, Mrs. Miracle brings the pure undiluted joy of the holiday season to those around her as well as readers and I loved every moment of the beautiful Christmas story.

This is a script for a Hallmark movie. I don't watch Hallmark movies, because I've heard that if you roll your eyes too much they might get stuck that way. This one also involved a bit of head shaking because it includes ideas about heaven, prayer, and faith that I personally think are misleading if not entirely incorrect. But I suspect Ms. Macomber was not focusing on theology as much as the marketability as a Hallmark movie. And I guess it was a better book club choice for December than something involving gratuitous sex and violence. I can't think of a single person I would recommend this to.

Mrs. Miracle, along with her friends, Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy, are sent to Earth on a mission. One family especially needs help and support and a little miracle of their own. Laurel’s grandmother is showing signs of dementia, and Laurel and her husband have moved in with her. But they have jobs and Helen needs someone to stay with her when they can’t. Enter Mrs. Miracle. But she is there to help more than Helen, though Laurel and Zach don’t know that yet. They have been longing to adopt a baby, but things haven’t gone well for them. Mrs. Miracle is about to change all that. This heart-warming tale is filled with delight and wonderment. Though sad things do happen, all things work out for the good for those who have faith. These Christmas books by Debbie Macomber really do make the season brighter.

Laurel (a schoolteacher) and her husband Zach want to be parents. They’ve had some huge disappointments in the past when they tried to have children. Now Laurel’s grandmother, Helen, needs a caregiver and they hire Mrs. Miracle – an angel.

I enjoyed reading this story about Laurel, Zach, Helen and Mrs. Miracle. The struggles that Zach and Laurel faced were so realistic. Their faith was tested – but they do get a glimpse at happiness when they hire Mrs. Miracle. Mrs. Miracle is wonderful companion for Helen. Helen has not been doing well, so when Mrs. Miracle comes her health gets better, and she works hard to help restore Laurel’s and Zach’s faith.

Both Laurel and Zach experience some strange happenings in this charming Christmas tale. These happenings involve Mrs. Miracle’s angel friends, Shirley and Mercy.

When I read a Debbie Macomber book, I feel like I’m coming home and receiving a most welcome hug and her latest book is no exception. A heart-warming story of Laurel and her husband Zach who have gone through the heartbreak of wanting a child so desperately but remaining childless. Laurel’s Grandmother Helen has played an important role in Laurel’s life and lives with the couple. When Helen’s health begins to fail, Mrs Miracle is a welcome caregiver who changes the life of this family.

The story is endearing and the perfect Christmas read. I listened to the audiobook version and Cassandra Campbell does an outstanding job of narrating this beautiful book. I highly recommend this read for fans of Women’s Fiction and Christmas reads.

A typical Christmas story from the series, but much like a Hallmark Christmas Movie, you still want to read it and you'll enjoy it. In this version, family suffers from hardship (medical/family/financial) when an angel from heaven takes a human role in helping the family find their faith again and everything works out with a big red bow on it to give you a happy ending.

I goosebumped my way through this book! It was so touching and funny and sad and hopeful --the perfect ingredients for an inspirational holiday read.

Mrs. Miracle is back and living up to her name in this Classic Macomber Christmas story. And the McCulloughs are definitely deserving of some serious angelic intervention! Honestly, I cried at the end. Great heaving, hiccupping sobs. It was so cathartic. :-) This is my absolutely, positively all-time-favourite Christmas novel by Debbie Macomber. The kind I'll want to read (or listen to) year after year.

I enjoyed the audible version and delighted in Cassandra Campbell's portrayal of these wonderful characters. Destined to become a Christmas classic (and hopefully another Mrs. Miracle movie!)

Mrs. Miracle shows up on the doorstep of a couple coping with loss and caring for a grandmother slipping into dementia. She shows up at just the right time and says just the right things to renew their faith. An uplifting Christmas story and quick read that warmed my heart like a Hallmark movie.

A very warm hearted story filled with the Christmas Spirit. The story starts out on a sad note. Laurel McCullough has had to face the fact that her Grandmother's dementia is progressively getting worse, to the point where she no longer can be left alone. She and her husband must make arrangements for homecare during the day.
Then there's the fact that Laurel and her husband have been unable to have a baby. Expensive hormone futility treatments were unsuccessful leaving the couple in debt. After disappointment while trying to adopt the couple decides to give up the idea of adoption. Heart broken because she can't have children Laura feels she has disappointed her husband.
As the holiday approaches a homecare worker unexpectedly shows up at their home and forms a special bond with Laurel's grandmother. The homecare agency had said there wouldn't be anyone available until after the holidays. Who is this highly qualified care giver that has made all the difference to Laurels Grandmother? Can this couple afford the extra money to keep Mrs Miracle caring for Helen. Will Mrs Miracle be able to bring joy and good cheer to this sad family in time for Christmas?
Each year I look forward to reading Debbie Macombers Christmas Novel. This year didn't disappoint this reader. This Christmas book was different in that it wasn't a girl meets boy during the Christmas season romance. It was a very good story about a family that had suffered a deep hurt. I truly think it's one of Debbie's better Christmas stories.
I highly recommend it to all fans of Debbie Macomber. Especially those who love her Christmas books. Add it to your want to read Book shelf this Christmas and be sure to read it. You will be glad you did.

Debbie Macomber started this series in the 1990's. Some have been made into Hallmark movies. She thought she was done with it, but her many fans asked for another Mrs. Miracle Christmas story; and she even included the infamous Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy for a spotlight appearance.

If you haven't read any of these books, they are perfect Christmas reads. Each reads well as a stand alone. Mrs. Miracle is an angel sent down by Gabriel . He is always looking for problems that need to be solved especially at Christmas time. This one focuses on Laurel and Zach McCullough who live with Laurel's widowed grandmother, Helen. Helen is starting to have memory problems, so Laurel is worried when she has to go to work each day. Laurel and Zach have been through numerous fertility treatments with no luck and have now given up on having children. Mrs. Miracle appears 2 weeks before Christmas saying she is sent to be a caregiver for Helen.

This story is filled with Christmas magic, joy, and the truth that we each having blessings that we don't realize. Definitely my favorite Christmas read so far in 2019.

I loved this book as it shows the meaning of family, love, grief and the power of miracles! Mrs. Miracle was an absolute joy to read about and her quirkiness was fun. Helen was amazing grandmother to Laural who was grieving not being able to be a mom. And Zach was such a supportive and great husband. The story read so quickly and was so powerful and moving! Love this book for the holiday season.
