Spellbinding Story about Real Love

Bridgett and Owen love each other very much but life has a knack for getting in the way. That they have grown apart isn't a unique reality, for a lot of people. But Owen gets an opportunity to make a change - a radical change in their lives. Move to another state and make a complete lifestyle change for the both of them. But how will this help? It doesn't, at first. It takes getting nearly killed, more than once. And the chance to return to the profession she loves gives her what she needs to make the adjustments needed to fight for her marriage and live the life she wants and needs. But be not so sure this is just some romance novel because if you do you'll be wrong, very, very wrong!

I met the author at Indiana Comic con. He was very nice to meet and chat with. My opinion about this is book : This story is really good. I liked the realistic love sections. As well as the characters both having good and bad times to their new lifestyle. This book isn’t for people who may get easily triggered by difficult situations. Which to be honest, I wasn’t aware of before I read the book. I give it four stars because it is a good book with a great set of main characters, Drew and Bridget. I would recommend to anyone who is interested in crime, mystery, and a strong female lead who makes mistakes like any other but learns from them.

Gripping tale that pulls you from one page to the next

A policewoman gets shot and begins to question the choices she’s made in life. When she and her chef husband make a new start at a small inn in Maine, their lives become far more complicated than they envisioned.

Even though Bridgett left the job behind, her senses are still sharp, and she quickly realizes that some of the inhabitants of this tiny town near the Canadian border are up to no good.

The book is a roller-coaster ride. Recommend.

I met Ray at a comic expo in Ohio. He suggested this book when I was struggling on where I wanted to start. I love this book! Bridgett is a bad ass character! This book kept me on the edge of my seat and made me wanting more. The writing is great in my opinion. I want to read more on this character and because of the amazing writing, I want to read more books from Ray! I might have a collection of his books.

just what I needed

This had all the good makings of a story. Romance, near death, and lots of violence. Moments that made you laugh and others just wondering why or how. I love how it ended on a cliff hanger and told you who the killer is. I’m so ready to know what happens next.

Good story, but I found a few of the fight scenes a little unrealistic and the protagonist did some things that I don't think an ex-cop would do.
