With Kiersten Modglin, you always know you'll get a fast read and an interesting premise; this did not disappoint... But...

Possible Spoiler

What I didn't understand was what seemingly highly intelligent women found appealing in the main character??? Not just that but how could these strong women allow themselves to be treated so poorly over and over again??

These women irritated me so much. The author literally made them the most dumbest people ever. And this man wasn’t even all that to begin with. They were so head over heels for him it almost makes me want to vomit.

OMG once again this author has just blown me away! This just grabbed me from the get go and would not let me go! Keeping me on the edge of my seat this thriller is gripping and exciting, the twists and turns I did not see coming, it’s full of mystery, suspense, lies, heartache and deceit and the conclusion just epic! This is another fantabulous story from this author that I cannot recommend enough!

My Husband’s Secret by Kiersten Modglin was a good read! Seriously—how can one man juggle so many women?

The story kicks off at Lucas’s funeral, where his wife, Naomi, is approached by two women. Right away, she senses something was off about her husband. Determined to get answers, she sets out to meet with each of them again.

The book is told from multiple POVs, which keeps things interesting. And the big question throughout: who actually killed this man?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What an awesome little book this was!! I absolutely loved this book. I listened to the audiobook and it immediately grabbed my attention. It was a pretty short listen too. Only 5 hours and some change. But what a fun ride this was!
Naomi learns early on that her husband Lucas has tragically died. She is understandably devastated.
At his funeral, two strangers approach her. They seem to know information about Lucas and possibly his cause of death too.
The book shows you the POV from all 3 people.
Again, this was a lot of fun. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great little book. If you are familiar with this author or not, I say give this one a try. This was a surprisingly ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ /5 stars for me!

What was the last book that you liked way more than you were expecting?

A story full of lies. But what you think is a lie might not be. Kiersten once again blew me away. I am so in love with her psychological storylines. Each and every book just keeps getting better and better. I will have to say that this is my top favorite. There was just something about this one that you don't want to put it down once you start reading it. It is a non stop moving storyline with some amazing characters and mind blowing truths. Kiersten has crafted an intricately woven web of lies and deception.
Naomi is just trying to bury her husband and deal with his death. The day of his funeral she learns so much about him that she didn't know. Will any of it make any sense? Why did Lucas her husband live the life that he lived? What really happened to him? So many secrets in this one. Naomi believed that she and Lucas were happy. But little does she realize that he is changing. But then again is she keeping a secret from her husband? This one was a page turning mind blowing blow me away thriller. I absolutely loved every page turning moment in this one.
This book was written from Naomi, Clara and Alaina's point of views. All three woman who shared a life with Lucas but how did each of them fit into his life and death?
An absolute must read. Will you figure out who is hiding the biggest secret? Another great well written enjoyable mind blowing book from Kiersten. Highly recommend.

How well do you ever really know someone?
Modglin has crafted an intricately woven web of lies and deception in My Husband's Secret that asks that very question.
Naomi, recently widowed wife of Lucas, is desperate to understand the events that led to her husband's death. We soon find out Lucas wasn't the only one with a secret in this juicy, highly entertaining domestic suspense not to be missed.
Modglin's well-written page-turner strikes a match, lights a fuse, and has you following the twists and turns all the way to the explosive ending!

My Husbands Secret is a gripping thrilling read full of secrets and suspense.

Brilliantly written story that I literally inhaled from start to finish. Can’t wait to read more from this author.

WOW! Just when I think her books can't get any better they do. I loved this book so much! The story was fast-paced and had so many twists and turns. Just when you thought you knew what was going to happen you find out you didn't have a clue. If you are a fan of psychological suspense this is a definite MUST read. I can't wait for her next one!

Too ridiculous for me

Read this book depending on how many daft, gullible, in denial, excuse giving, no back bone, women you can handle in one book.

The nice thing about her books is that they are easy to read in a day. Some are more engrossing than others, but all have been interesting. And while, this book WAS interesting, it didn’t keep me as captivated as many of her books. We are told from 3 POVs the relationships the protagonist has with his wife and mistresses. We immediately find out he is dead, but we don’t know what caused it or who may be involved. The 3 POVs gradually tell us this answer. I just didn’t find it suspenseful. It’s still an easy read for a lazy day, but not one of my faves by her.

3.5 Stars.
I’m a big fan of Kiersten Modglin and have read 31 of her 49 books, but this one had me shaking my head more often than not. The female characters felt incredibly naive and unrelatable, making it hard to connect with the story. The male main character wasn’t particularly compelling either—there was nothing about him that stood out or made him feel believable. That said, I do love an unreliable narrator, and as always, Kiersten delivered a fast-paced, engaging read. While it wasn’t my favorite, it still had the addictive quality that keeps me coming back to her books.

4.5 stars!

I’ve read a lot of this author’s books and loved them, so I always look forward to a new release from her! I received an ARC of this book and made it my next read! After reading, I can say that I enjoyed this book a lot! The plot was different to what I was expecting, but I liked the development of it and what happened in it! The plot also had some suspense in it and this added to the plot and made me want to read on and find out what was going to happen next! There was also a bit of romance in the plot, but this book mainly focused on being a thriller. so the romance aspect definitely played a smaller part! There were quite a few secrets in this book and they all had a massive impact on the plot when they were revealed! The secrets did surprise me! Overall, I loved the plot and it did keep me guessing as to what had actually happened! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! I would say that Naomi was the main central character, but that Clara and Alaina also had important roles and were main characters as well! I felt for all three women in this book because they were deceived by one man, Lucas, and they all had pretty full-on relationships with him! It was also difficult for me to figure out which woman was hiding the biggest secret because they all were hiding something! I'm also not quite sure why Lucas was leading three different lives in this book and what led him to do that, but it did come back to bite him quite severely! Lucas was also charming and he was very witty and attractive, so it was easy to see how he was able to manipulate three women! This book was written from Naomi, Clara and Alaina's point of views! I can say that I wasn't expecting this book to be written from three different point of views after I read the synopsis, so I was surprised when I started reading! I'm really happy that written from three point of views though because it gave me an insight into each woman's relationship with Lucas and helped me connect with them all and see how they felt about each other! It allowed for more things to happen in the plot as well and for secrets to be revealed! I can also completely understand why this book is a standalone! The plot was mostly wrapped up and all the questions raised were answered! A few things were left open though! The ending was also insane and it showed how all the characters were involved in some way and didn't know it! I now can't wait to see what this author's going to release next! I'm loving all the books she's released this year, so I can't wait to read more from her! I still have a few of her other books to release as well! The cover for this book is also absolutely stunning! I love how well it suits the book and I can see how well it does now I've read the story behind it! I love it and it would draw me to the book if I didn't already know the author's name! Big thank you to Kiersten for an ARC of My Husband's Secret!

Flabbergasted! Kiersten Modglin's new novel My Husband's Secret left me just that...FLABBERGASTED! I don't know how she keeps cranking these books out. They are so unique and you never feel like you've read something like this before. She doesn't have a formula. The only formula she has is to keep you guessing until she slaps you in the face at the end. You close the book and you wonder what hit you. It's a simple as that. If you don't believe me, try one of her books!

A friend of mine who is also reviewing her book challenged me to message her when I was fifty percent done and tell her my guess on how it would end. Of course, I was wrong. I think I may have had ten percent correct. The book starts out with Luke's funeral so, I knew he was going to die. That's it. That's the only thing I got right. What else would you think could happen to a guy who has a wife, a fiance' and a girlfriend?

Don't worry. I'm not going to ruin it for you. You're going to have to buy this book and figure it out for yourself. I'd say I was done reading Kiersten Modglin books but, I can't. I'm anxiously waiting for the next one.

I have this weird relationship with KMod’s books. Some of them I don’t mesh with, some are just ok & others I love so much that I put them in my top favorite books of all time. I think I’m finding that I really enjoy her newer work. It’s not even that I think the stories are bad, it’s just that I get bored or I’m just not interested in that particular storyline.

With that being said, I have to be honest here & say, I’m pretty surprised at all the 4 and 5 star ratings on this one. I didn’t really enjoy this one. 😳 I tried but I didn’t like any of these characters besides Naomi actually. Clara was just ignorant and would believe anything Lucas said to her. She just appeared weak to me. No matter what he did or said, she was ready to still trust him. The story was just boring for me. I hate saying that because I am a big fan of KMod but this wasn’t it for me. My goal though is to read every book by her so on to the next!

Spoilers ahead...

This was a really good book. I liked everything about it except the ending seemed abrupt and kind of rushed. I hated for the story to end as I got really into the three women that Lucas loved. I'll try this author again. At least this book broke the weird reading slump I was in.

I was thinking why the ending bothered me so much and it dawned on me that it made very little sense. Why would Lucas want to leave town so abruptly? He didn't have any cash due to Naomi closing their account. He didn't give notice at work. It never explained what he'd been helping his mom with or why he was paying her rent. The ending actually took away from enjoyment of the rest of the book. I'm deducting another star. Three stars. I'm tired of abrupt and senseless endings just so that a story can have a twist. It seems common in the domestic thriller genre.

Lucas Martin was a liar.

At his funeral, Lucas' wife Naomi opted for a closed casket, choosing to remember her husband through the oversized photo that portrayed warmth and love. Naomi decided she'd tell their young daughter about the goodness Lucas had brought to their lives...she didn't need to know her father was a liar.

Told in alternating points of view from the devastated wife and the two other women in Lucas' life, we soon find out that he isn't the only one keeping secrets. Each woman in his life had a reason to want him dead, but why?

In her signature style, the author once again weaves a story of secrets, lies, and regrets. She will take you on a journey that is absolutely relentless until the final shocking page.

Bow down to your Queen of Domestic Suspense! 👸👸👸

While I admit the premise of the book is clever, I did not like any of the characters. I couldn’t bond with any of them and for me, there wasn’t a vested interest. This book felt like a diary of 3 desperate women who were whiny and weak. Each loving a guy who was shallow, had no moral character, who gave them nothing. This was not a page turner by any means.
