This book was a gift I received from a friend years ago. It's a cute book....but wasn't sure if it was intended to be serious-fiction or non-fiction. It's not a book I would have selected. The book recommends lots of candle burning, red ribbons, and various spices for spells. The book design is cute, but I'm not really into casting spells.

I choose this book because I love magic and spells. This book mainly had spells on love and how colors mean certain moods. My favorite quote in the book was "Its natural to love another person. Love is both ecstatic happiness and deep despair. Your mind may advise you not to love a worthless or unfaithful person but the heart will continue to love because it cannot accept reason." I liked this quote because it's true and I've seen people with the wrong person. No matter how many times you tell them they deserve better they don't believe it. I loved how the book was organized inn to categories so if you needed to look something up you could find it. I would recommend this book to anyone that has interest in magic because if you're looking for spells for love it's in this book.

This is a very basic book on recipies for casting love spells by using primarily candle magic. Candle magic seems to be the most basic form of magic giving the novice an introductory lesson in casting love spells. This book, although short and sweet in nature, attempts to give some background information into why you would use a particular ingredient or candle in your spell. The actual text itself is littered with writings made to mimic an actual notebook of sorts with the writers handwritten notes in the margins. I'm not sure is this is helpful or serves as a distraction. Nonetheless, this is a good introductory read in love spells.
