In this modern morality tale, a vicious killer is on the loose, and the kindhearted Douglass finds himself the target of detectives who need a win at any cost. Desperate to seek justice and clear his name, Douglass escapes prison and sets out on a harrowing, fantastical quest to find the true perpetrator. In this riveting dark comedy, the lines between good and evil blur in a search for redemption.
A short fast-paced thriller play. Two detectives set a naive innocent man (Douglass) up and send him to the prison for a crime that he never committed. While Douglass is on a mission to find the true perpetrator, he discovers the thin line between good and evil.
I found the bluntness and the naivety of Douglass quite funny when he tries to deceiphers what the detective and the murderer throw at him. Suiteable for any amateur groups or professional companies. One of the detectives originally was written for a man, but the character can be played by a man or a woman. Strong role for leading man.
