This story has everything

A thief for hire runs into a woman who wants to promote in her job to follow in her parents’ footsteps. He steals the artifact and she won’t play ball so this becomes a kidnapping story. Next the story morphs into a treasure hunt that becomes a save the universe adventure. It finally becomes a satisfying alien lover story! Whew! What a ride!

Good sci fi adventure

The worldbuilding and non-humans are interesting, and the story has been done before but is good. There is a large and gruesome body count I didn't enjoy. I liked Varya and Eros.

I thoroughly enjoyed this sci-fi adventure and cannot wait for book 2. My only wish would be to see Varya grow more as a character as she matures into her relic hunter role.

I thought that this was a cute book. I wish that there was a little more back story with the parents and sister.
