She can contentedly live her dream life here in this world, or return to Noma in order to fight for her family’s crown and stop a world war that would destroy millions of people and enslave the rest.
That means not only choosing between two worlds, but between two loves—
Mick Barron , her dark, fierce Guardian Prime and the man of her earthly fantasies.
Or Leot c-Tallega , the charming, wild, rebel prince of her country’s ally Cirkna.
Two worlds. Two truest loves. One choice Andee must make.
ADDISON CARMICHAEL is a Paranormal Romance junkie. Love is a mystical, magical thing to her, and she loves writing and living vicariously through her endless PNR stories. Whether it be alpha male werewolves, fierce dragons, sexy panthers and other shifters, sizzling hot vampires, or illusive sorcerers who will magically make your dreams come true, her imagination is bubbling up several stories after another.
As a literature major, Addison also enjoys weaving classic themes into her books, yet keeping the fun and folklore true to each story and character. While paying strict attention to the tropes of each myth, she also finds unique ways to create new ones in order to make each story as fresh, realistic and plausible as possible.
Addison was born and raised in Southern California and has lived and traveled all over the west coast (and the world). She married the man of her dreams and has two awesome sons, two daughters-of-her-heart, and three grandchildren who are the jewels in her personal crown.
She now lives happily-ever-after with her family (which includes Mollie, her black lab-border collie) in Snohomish, Washington of the U.S. Pacific Northwest.
I just finished Guarded Crown, the third in the Guarded Trilogy by Addison Carmichael and I still haven't caught my breath! The twists, turns, highs and lows in this book have me feeling like l need a long nap. Addison has included it all in her story; political intrigue, murder, great friendship, intense love and sorrowful loss, all wrapped up in this breathtaking tale! No spoilers here, but I will say I was both surprised and completely satisfied with the conclusion of this amazing series. This series is a MUST read!!
What an emotional roller coaster in this book! I cheered, got angry and frustrated with characters and cried tears of happiness and sadness! I love their flaws and their redeeming qualities :) I couldn't imagine a better way to end the series!
First, my apologies to the author. I read this as an ARC last year, and totally forgot to leave this review. Addison, please forgive me, your book is far more worthy than I am at this point.
This book is the conclusion of the Guarded Trilogy. I've read all three books and I would suggest that you do the same, as this book draws on everything that has happened in the first two. This book was wonderful to read. I'm not sure how else I can word this. Paranormal used to be something I would look at and think, oh I'll read that genre later. I wasn't sure I would enjoy it, and then I discovered something. It has nothing to do with the genre, it has to do the skill of the author and her love of her craft.
Addison Carmichael, in these three books, has woven a wonderful story and has now polished it off with a great third book that contains so many twists, turns, and loops that you will never get bored reading it. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
As I've said before, in my previous reviews for this series, Addison Carmichael is a very good writer who has written a plot based on a world she's built, interspersed it with some wonderful characters that are incredibly well developed, and then topped it off by writing, Guarded Crown. In Guarded Crown, if you thought you knew what was going to happen? You were wrong. I LOVED the plot when it meandered its way through the characters, making the characters the leaves on the plot's trunk and branches. It was superb, and I'm really looking forward to reading more of Ms. Carmichael's books in the future.
