This review is actually a re-read review.
This trilogy was one of my first takes in to the world of Dark Romance.
I then followed up this trilogy with the rest of this "world"...this world includes "The Dark Scarlett," "The Jameson Hotel Saga," and the "Long Shot Love duet." I've also recently seen and downloaded another book that falls in this world.
This go 'round I have only read the Nova Trilogy, but I guarantee, I'll be re-reading the rest again in the future.
I put 5 stars for this trilogy, but it is probably more like 4-4.5 stars. This is because the story was still great in my opinion. Still nerve-wracking, suspenseful, and hot....but some of the "dirty talk" just seemed a little childish.
Sophia and Cove are in their mid-twenties...and given the experience that each of them have, I would have expected their dirty talk to be more than it was.
This trilogy has triggers. I'm always hesitant to list what triggers pertain to a book due to somewhat considering them to be spoilers...but for this one, I will mention that it does contain references to child pornography. Any scenes with this are of the person involved remembering what happened and explaining the past to the other person. The child in this is also a teen...not that that makes it any better by any means...I just wanted to mention that it is not a YOUNG child.
Now...with all that said...I definitely enjoyed this trilogy after reading it again. And I highly recommend it if you're a fan of dark, twisted, suspenseful romances.
