Wife and mother of four, my days have been reduced to begging for the littlest to sleep so I can have time to write my books. I'm blaming my reduced schedule on Cupcake.
Facebook is the best place to find me, or you can sign up for my newsletter here (https://leannryans.com) to keep up with current and upcoming projects as well as special promotions and such.

I grew up on Sci-fi and Fantasy books with some of my favorite authors being Anne McCaffery and Mercedes Lackey. In 2013 I discovered paranormal romance and delved into a whole new world. After reading Omegaverse stories from Addison Cain and Nora Ash, I had the idea for The Omega Prize and decided to take a shot at writing a book of my own. The beginning was rough, it took two months to write the first five chapters, but as my 2019 New Year’s resolution I said I was going to finish the story and committed to writing every day. It didn't take long for the book to begin telling itself, and from there I just kept going.

Most of my books are Omegaverse, but they span other genres like Sci-Fi, dystopian, and historical barbarians. There is even a small-town Enemies to Lovers Romance story in there. They main contain dark elements but I wouldn't call them dark romance since my alphas tend to be a little mushy in the center. I promise there's always a HEA.

This didn’t feel like a 200 page read. While this takes place on a whole new world. I wanted more. A book of this length I feel should have more.

It soon becomes apparent that Lyric is not the brightest bulb in the box. Yes she’s been isolated. She has no idea of life outside her village. Happy and content with the hand she’s been dealt.
And why not?
She’s no information to correct this.

This book is mainly from her POV. We do get Raider’s on occasion but I wanted more.

Despite first impressions it soon becomes apparent that Raider is a decent guy. Yes he’s all growling and grumpy in the beginning. And yes okay several other times as well. But we know he’s a good guy.

Lyric is okay. I got a little sick of the stupid. We spent too much time in her head for me. All those cobwebs and tumbleweeds annoyed me.

This sums her up. Bearing in mind she’s injured. She has no survival or fighting skills. And one word from an alpha and she’s instantly putty in their hands. Plus it’s freezing and the snow is deep.

Firming her resolve, Lyric decided she would run the first chance she got. The Nicaavet had stayed with the wagons to help protect them in the case of an attack, and this would be the best chance to get away. If she could move quickly enough, she may be able to get back to the Andtay clan and find a way to save the two omegas that were left there. Once they made it back to their people, someone could save the others from Raider.
If there were any of her people left.

This was just one stupid too many.

3.5 STARS!

This one had a Golden Dynasty vibe. Though not as in-depth or complex, I enjoyed it a lot.

The author's writing style is very relaxing and easy to follow, but still she manages to get your heart rate up during those questionable scenes that come up in the Omegaverse.

My only complaint is that it wasn't in-depth or complex, lol. But honestly, it was just what I needed at the time.

I'll definitely read more by this author!

A new author to me, I’m impressed with this story. It is your typical Alpha/Omega dynamic, but it is a great read. Raider has attacked Lyric’s village in an act of revenge against her father, and Lyric becomes one of the “spoils” of the attack. But Raider decides to make the little Omega his own. There is a HEA, but the story continues with several more books in the series.

A story that captures your heart, just as Raider captures his Lyric

Raider's Bounty is set in a 'middle-ages' type world, similar in feel to some Viking romances and a little like Lee Savino's Beserker world, but definitely something of the author's own creation. Whilst the world building wasn't massively detailed it also wasn't really necessary, as this is a story that focuses very much on the two main protagonists. What we do get is a well written, entertaining and nicely paced love story.

Lyric is an omega and Raider is not only an alpha but the leader of his tribe. The tribe who attack Lyric's village, leaving death and destruction in their wake and capturing a handful of female omegas. Leann Ryans writes a more gentle alpha-omega dynamic, one where omegas are not repressed and alpha's to do not have the right to subjugate them. This doesn't take anything away from the book but does offer an alternative for those who don't always want, or enjoy, a darker read.

Over the course of the book not only do you get to know both main characters, but I found myself really connecting with them both and believing in their feelings for one another. It's actually quite a slow burn book, with only a couple of steamy scenes (and they are VERY steamy). I was caught up in enjoying the story that I didn't even miss them!

This is an ideal book for those who love a 'captive romance' but don't enjoy dubious/non-consent.

2.5 Impassive Stars

I have to say when I first started reading this I found myself wincing thinking I was going down a dark hole I would truly regret, luckily the story wasn't the horror I thought it would be.

I was hoping for a read filled with heat and tension didn't really get either. Writing flowed but this just didn't draw me in like I had hoped.

I tried to stop comparing it with Golden Dynasty by Kristen Ashley but I couldn't, it has a different yet similar plot. And unfortunately, Golden Dynasty has set a phenomenal bar toward this kind of story. This book lack connection and character development. I couldn't find a uniqueness that could make me care and root for the character especially lyric ( the name also distract me, I start thinking about the meaning of her name which is lyric). I don't hate this book but I did not enjoy the read either. It's bland to me.

Great addition to the Omegaverse!

I absolutely loved this story. It has many of the main tropes but I also found the land and world building new and exciting.

What I would have liked more detail on I think is their clothes, utilities etc. I would just like to get a more detailed image of a "time period".

In one sense Lyric and Raider seem to belong to a sort of hunter, tribe, gatherer society, but they live in houses, have kitchens and bathrooms - but their main transport is horses and their medicines are herbal.
I get a dystopian feel which I love, I just like a little more detail on things around them and how they themselves as a people look. :)

I am looking forward to read Bear's story next!

Sometime i need a break with my other book reads and dive into an alpha/omega book.
This one was cute!
Still has murder and sex. lol
Good character building and plot.
Steam on the low side.
Not a ton of omega/alpha goodness that I like to read but that’s okay. Every author is different and this book kept my attention to the end!

HEA for the main characters and opens up for the next book for the next two characters!

I like this different take on Omegaverse. Has a barbarian named Raider, who raids the village Lyric calls home. She escapes only to get caught by Raider who also wounds her during the capture. When she wakes up they have moved to the edge of her father's territory and are making plans to leave for Raiders territory. Raider has decided to claim Lyric as his own. He also tells her there is no escape and she will be punished for any escape attempts and not obeying him. Yet Raider also is very gentle and takes care of Lyric. He makes sure her wound is taken care of and he feeds her and clothes her. While the other Omegas that are captured don't even get clothes.

I enjoyed the story of Raider and Lyric. And I loved how it ended. This author is so great at weaving an interesting story. I highly recommend.

I have to admit that I don't like this asshole. He lanced her to reel her in and she's okay after 18 hrs, no IV, no antibiotics or pain meds. He wouldn't have done it if he knew she was an omega but who cares about those betas, huh? And she just witnessed the massacre of her village including her father and her fiancé but she treats him most amiable after waking up from her injury and nightmare. Like, wtf? It got a little cheesy towards the end, the steamy parts are entertaining enough.

Raider's Bounty has all the heat and dynamics you would expect in the Omegaverse, only it's presented in a sweeter package. I think this story is perfect for someone who hasn't had a taste of the Omegaverse and is curious about it. I also think it's perfect for those like myself who have been reading the Omegaverse stories for a while and would like a break from the dark.

The setting has a medieval feel to it with all the different tribes attacking and banding together, which is a great for a story having to do with such primal personalities. The world building in this one isn't overly detailed, but there is the perfect amount to show you the type of environment the story takes place in. The characters have complex personalities that are believable and their actions fit with what those personalities are. This is something I really appreciate as a reader.

The plot is absolutely amazing. It is full of angst, surprises, danger, suspense, hope, trust issues, emotional connections, love, passion and burning heat. I loved how introspective Lyric is. Her inner dialogue is some of the best I've read, and the way she logically can look at the situation and deal with all the emotional ups and downs made her believable. It also made her very like-able. Raider is more logical than emotional, but he has a very tender streak under all that alpha dominance stuff. He honestly cares about those around him, and even though the situation isn't ideal he still wants to protect everyone. I know the protective trait is common in an Alpha, but it was displayed in a more gentle way than I'm used to in Raider's case.

When you combine the beautiful storytelling, the action-packed plot, the amazing characters, and the high amount of heat this one has to offer you get an amazing story that you won't want to put down.

Lyric's village is plundered and she is injured attempting to escape.
Raider acted on instinct he felt bad that gee had injured her but he had no other option.
He knew at once who what she was.
He never intended to keep her but he couldn't resist her sirens call.

This was a sweet Omega romance. The kind that has you a bit mad at the growly alpha but still wanting to cuddle up with him.
I enjoyed that we got alienating POV. Most was from Lyric but the occasional glimpse onto Raiders mind really brought the story together.
I do wish this had been longer. There was just so many possibilities with what was happening, and I have all kinds of questions. The easy connection to the characters and the overall "feels" this, left me with allowed me to overlook the unanswered questions I had upon completion.
I do hope this is a first on series.
I would like more from this universe as well as the characters

I loved this. I really enjoyed reading this. I love the world that Leann has created here and the characters she ha written.
In this story we meet Lyric the Alpha, Alpha male of her villiage's daughter. Her father has arranged a mating for her, although not her choice she plans to mate with this Alpha if only to please her father. Unfortunately her village is raided and plans go array as she is injured and kidnapped by an Alpha from another village.. what does he want with her.
I love Lyric and Raiders character, this book focuses on them both without really involving any other characters and slowly builds on their relationship. The book is full of feelings and passion is clearly shown. This is a lovely read.

Short, sexy and even a little sweet. Great story and one of my favorites by this author. I like this new “barbarian” world. I enjoyed both main characters and even a few of the side characters. I can visualize more stories in this world.
I kind of got a Khal Drogo vibe from Raider- woo hooo ! I like that this wasn’t over the top or brutal.
The author pulled off a good barbaric-like Alpha without being too much.
So if you’re looking for a quick & sexy and you like this genre, I highly recommend this book!

Wistful thinking, but I hoped Raider to be more asshole-ish. Like you know, literal barbarian. It really went that direction but kind of stayed at the edge. I so hoped it will be like dub-con controlling alpha-hole. It was actually there, almost. I saw it but then it never came.

So yeah, that kind of ruined this book for me. It started off really well and then Raider half way lost his dark side.

As I read third book first, then you basically can read in any order them but it's best to start from here, because it's the beginning of everything.

About the story:

I find this storyline better than third book (Verik's Prize). It had a point and it had a better ending.

Lyric is a daughter of head of her village. They are attracted and Lyric is trying to escape. Well, it doesn't work and she finds herself injured and captured by head of the clan.

Raider is very Alpha, bit cruel and cold. He rules with iron fist and tries to bend Lyric to his will. But she's stubborn.

Again, I would have hoped it to be longer. I hoped she would escape at least once. I so hoped for it, to see how Raider will go ballistic.

Again, I see a lot of potential and overall I enjoyed this book.

I love Leann Ryans' take on the MF Omegaverse genre. So many of the MF stories are dark, which can be a really good thing, but sometimes you want the genre, but you don't want to end up with some of that heavy darkness, and that's where this author steps in. She brings a great touch of light and joy without it being fluffy or saccharine.

I like Lyric. She is very quiet, unless there is a point which she feels very strongly, and then she pulls out all her strength and puts it into play. I think that it works really, really well. I think that if she acted out and threw all her whatever around, it wouldn't have worked as well as it did in the places she did it.

I like Raider a whole lot. At first, he comes across one way, then the way that he comes across completely changes. He's a good leader, and he spends a lot of time thinking out what he's going to do. You can see how much work goes into his plans and each decision.

This author has created a complex omegaverse/barbarian world & I found this romance quite interesting & enjoyed reading it. The characters are well-developed with unique personalities and display realistic & quite believable emotional feelings, while going through the turmoil of a uncertain future. The story-line and plot is intriguing, well-thought out and written.
There is: a young female omega (Lyric) is actually looking forward to a future mating arranged by her alpha father when a group of raiders attack her village & kills her father but she escapes only to be injured & taken captive by an alpha (Raider), twists & turns, intrigue, drama, conflict, violence, injuries, treats, defiance, determination, devious contemplation, distrust, fear, emotional turmoil, regrets, compromises, ultimatums, heat issues, love, contentment, some steam & a happy ending

So, if you want to get into M/F Omegaverse, this is the kind of book to start out with. It's not as dark or hardcore as some of the other books in the genre at the moment. However, it has the Alpha hotness and fiesty Omega to fill in and meet the needs. Another bonus, there's no cliffhanger! You get to enjoy the story in one sitting.

We meet Lyric who is trying to escape from the raiders who have invaded and destroyed her village. She is captured by Raider (hahaha, who is raiding her village to boot) and is his chosen from the Omegas captured from her village. Will she succumb to his seduction or will she fight to avenge her village and loved ones? You gotta read to find out!

Never Disappointed

Leann Ryans does not disappoint! Our main two characters had a rocky start and remain on a rocky road the entire time almost until the very bitter end. She has put a new spin on the Alpha /Omega dynamic with their roles as well as their behaviors. With the average omegaverse novel for the most part you know what to expect as far as their rolesand who holds the power but this one took a very refreshing and unexpected spin on things. There were moments that left me in shock and speechless . If you're into Omegaverse I definitely recommend this for you.

This was a good introduction into the Omegaverse world. Of course I had no idea what I was getting into when I started this book, but I still enjoyed it.
Definitely a steamy romance and if you like a D&S Romance then you'll enjoy this. Even though this book wasn't my usual cup of tea, I have to admit I loved Raider in the end.

I loved the beginning when I started it on Wattpad and it didn't disappoint. Very well written. Just one part at the end didn't make sense to me where she felt something was missing but then it wasn't mentioned again and then the book ended?

Hot and Sweet

I am loving Leann Ryan's books. Each one is better than the last. Along with the hot Omegaverse sex, there is tenderness and love. I always enjoy her fiesty Omegas and the Alphas who claim them. I will follow her wherever her stories go.

Good storyline and set up for the series.

So, I really liked Lyric, the Omega, in this book. She seemed quite smart and tactical at times. However, she accepted her fate and the information about her father a bit too easily for me. She took the word of a man that was a stranger. It didn't feel realistic. I think if she would have learned the information from the other Omegas instead, it might have been more believable.
Raider was the typical Alpha, but softer than some of the others I've read. He wasn't my cup of tea, but felt that he fit in the story well.
It was an easy read, that definitely pulls you in. I'd definitely recommend it.
