When the bind on my powers fractures, my father returns to bring me to Hell, but I refuse. The problem is, I had no idea who he was when he showed up at my door, or that I even had powers. When the person who means most to me is stripped away, leaving me raw and desperate for vengeance, I finally give in to my birthright. My name is Lucinda Devine, and Hell hath no fury when I turn up at the Academy. Making myself the perfect bait isn't easy, but I'll do anything to destroy this killer. I am, after all, The Devil's Sin.
This is a Reverse Harem Romance for ages 18+. Contains adult content, and may be triggering for some readers.
Kira Roman is a Mom of two monsters, she loves reading, and naps. She loves food, and The Office. She loves gloomy, rainy days. Naps, did I mention naps? She loves naps. And food. All the food.
This book was AMAZING!!! From the jump, this book sucks you in and if you're not careful you will lose all concept of time! By the end of the first chapter I was completely done for, 100% invested, and not sure I blinked again until the last page. There is violence, intrigue, suspense, and so much drool worthy steam. Lucinda is so well written she triggerd my Mama Bear instincts and I was legit fuming at points in this story for how she is treated. I wanted to hug her, high five her, and bake her cookies all at the same time, because she deserves to be taken care of the way she takes care of others. I wanted to protect her myself, but thankfully she doesn't need protecting! She takes no $hit and destroys her foes like the total bada$$ she is. It is so GRATIFYING the way she handles herself against those who think her weak!! I was cheering her on out loud on multiple occasions while reading. AND HER MEN..... just yeah, *swoons and fans self* I am so here for the rest of this series. I can't believe this is Kira's debut book, she hit it out of the park. This read has earned her one click status for me from here on out. Book 2 can not come soon enough
For a brand new author to produce such an outstanding story is fantastic! This book gripped me in its talons from the first line and had me cursing on the last line! I demand book 2 immediately! It ends on a Cliffhanger but I love a good cliffy! Shows what an amazing job the Author has done to make me want to know what happens next!!! Everyone needs this book in their life...it would be a sin not to ;).
I received an advanced readers copy of The Devil's Sin by Kira Roman that will be released on September 26, 2020.
This is Kira’s debut novel and she knocked it out of the park. I absolutely love Lucinda! She is a badass who will do anything to protect the people she loves. I loved the chemistry building between Lucinda, Bane, Vazruuk, Kade, and Erasmus.
The book does end on a cliffhanger that will leave you begging for more. But the cliffhanger wasn’t a surprise since it’s the first book in the Dramonia Academy series. I can’t wait for the next book The Devils Vengeance!
I would recommend this book if you like paranormal romances, reverse harems or bully romances.
Okay, so first off this is actually probably like 4.5 stars, but only because I didn't find the reading of it super-smooth, there were areas that felt a little disjointed without me being able to put my finger on it. Having said that, I absolutely loved everything else about the book. Lucinda is a wonderful character, and I am really enjoying the mystery behind where the story is going, the supposed double suicide of Lucindas best friend and her boyfriend, then the politics in hell tied in with the politics within the academy itself all wrapped up with what was going on behind her back - secrets layered on secrets. I look forward to book 2!
Well lets start with damn! This book was fantastic and I couldn't put it down. It introduced us to so many paranormal characters and I love them all.
This book was a debut book for Miss Kira and she knocked it out of the park. I'm not going to give up any spoilers as this is a must read. The book comes with a warning for the cliffhanger ending and dang did it need the warning. Of course it would be a cliffhanger being the first in the Dramonia Academy Series.
I love Lucinda and find her very intriguing. She is a total badass and ready to take on anyone who gets in her way of the truth. The guys in this book are omg hot! Wowza! The only problem is I can't decide which one I like the best for "little devil." This book is just excellent! I am so excited for the second installment. I'm also hoping that Lucinda, Bane, Vazruuk, Kade, and Erasmus all have their own book in the series.
This is a must read for all you paranormal romance lovers! Hot, hot, 🔥 !!!!
The Devil's Sin is an amazing read that will leave you wanting more. Follow Cin as she attends Dramonia Academy determined to find out what happened to her best friend Anika.
Watch as she finds out that not everything is as it seems with the demons and supernatural who attend.
This is the first book by new upcoming Indie author and i was not disappointed.. Cin is the MC and the person you wish you bad as a bestfriend in real life.. This is a Bully romance and Cin can dish it out just as much as they throw. When I got the book i read it straight thru i could not but it down. the characters are fantastically written and leaves you wanting more. i cried, laughed, and cheered through out the book. The book does leave on a cliff hanger, that made me want to shake the author until i got answers.. you should definitely get the book u wont be disappointed.. this author has a forever fan
This was such a hot as hell paranormal reverse harem book!! I completely love Lucinda she is funny, sassy and so badass!! I'm dying over here because we are left with a cliffhanger but so worth it!!
No just no. WTF really. 😭. I love this book! The story sucked me in then spit me out fully chewed. Cin dragged me through her pain by the nose and I fell so hard for her men. Lucifer needs his own story please. The mystery is nerve wrackingly perfect.
This book is one hell of a debut! It is amazing! So much raw emotion, and complexity that there is surprises that keep you intrigued the entire story. Highly recommend!
Well that was crazy. I think karma is being dealt out here , you put out bad in the universe then that’s all that comes back at you . That ending was absolutely screwed up. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
This book has such a strong Female Main Character who takes crap from noone! Can't wait to read the next installment and get a deeper peak into the lives of the guys!
The ending had me begging for more! Hold onto your seats, my friends, because this is only the beginning of an amazing ride.
Possible spoilers: I loved how the super natural world was fit into the 'human' world. And I really enjoyed Kira's perspective on supernatural beings and their lives!
If Supernatural Academy is your Jam... Spread this one on ya toast. 😜
This story will take ahold of you from page one ( Even after the badass cover grabs your attention) and won’t let go. Very well detail written throughout. Readers are swooned with so much Alpha manliness you don’t know which one to root for the “little devil”. Can’t wait to see where the plot goes from here. Laughs seriousness heart brake and major points to the laugh out loud sarcasm.
Wow what a book.. I loved this book so much that I am itching for the next book, it was a straight through read. WARNING: you will require tissues, chocolate and wine to get through this. 😀
I wanted to like this, but it missed the mark for me. Cin was built up so much as a strong kickass female who trained for months in hell so she could take down those who murdered her bff, yet as soon as she gets to the academy she's like a total different person and doesn't really come across as strong at all and seems to let the bullies "win". Some of the story felt a bit slow, however at the same time some of the relationships seemed to jump quite quickly without allowing enough time for us to really get to know some of the characters. Some things were brought up but then not mentioned again, some things didn't quite make sense including some of the character's actions, and just raised more questions, and some things seemed to have been thrown in just because and didn't seem actually necessary. All in all this was only an ok read, I didn't really connect with the characters, and won't be continuing this series.
It was written well and introduces characters for the novel. Devils sin has you guessing "who did it" and draws you into the story so you feel like you are there. It is multi pov, so you can see the story the perspective of the characters involved.
Are you looking for a smoking hot 🥵 reverse harem paranormal college-aged academy bully romance with a badass female main character?! Look no further my friends, this book is for you.
The Devils Sin is the first book in the Dramonia Academy series. Now, I love me a good old bully romance, but I ADORE them when the FMC is a badass. Enter Lucinda (Cin) Devine🙌🏻🙌🏻 Badass extraordinaire. This chick doesn’t only roll with the punches, she’s throwing them back tenfold. I swear I’d want her to be my BFF in for real life😂 In this universe humans know of the existence of Demons, Angels, Witches, Vampires, Fae, & Shifters and Dramonia Academy houses them all. From the synopsis, you know get a teensy smidge of what the story is about. It is so, so very much more. The storyline guys🤭The dudes are 🔥🔥🔥 All I have to say is Demons and Vampires and Shifters, oh my!🥵 Team Ras all day baby! ⬇️⬇️
“Ras groans, "Fuck, little Devil, keep looking at me like that and I'll think you're the one with an insatiable hunger."
This book does end on a cliffhanger, one that cuts you straight to the heart. I cannot wait for book two, and I’ll be thoroughly stalking this author for the next ever.
This book has truly taken me by surprise there were so many twists and turns that I wasn’t expecting and while some where shocking I couldn’t help but love this story!
This book had me feeling all sorts of emotions, I definitely felt like I was on a rollercoaster! I enjoyed the storyline and where the story was heading and that cliffhanger definitely hit me hard and has me wanting the next book!
If you love paranormal college aged academy books with a dash of enemies to lovers, a side of bullying and a big does of badass MFC then I definitely recommend this book for you!
This is Kira Roman’s debut novel and I was extremely satisfied with her book and I am definitely going to keep reading this series and any other upcoming books she might have planned! Keep an eye out for Kira because I think she’s someone your gonna love!
Completely intriguing. What a story, the plot on point! Characters are well developed and I was invested in their journey. CIN is a awesome FMC.. sassy, funny, and a bad@ss.. her back story is a little heartbreaking. The guys are all coming into their own. And by the end I'm was rooting for them all. And that ending. 🤯 omg... can not wait for book 2! Highly recommended 🔥
The world building was crap, there was no character development and no real relationship building. Instead of character development, there were sudden shifts in behaviour for no reason, which didn't match the initial character's life experiences. Instead of relationship building, there was an old "flame" that was brought back after an info dump. This was all around a bad book and I'm making note of the author so I don't accidentally read anything else written by her.
No..No...Just No. No character development. No alpha men. No progress on vendetta. No sex. (LIKE WHY??) No father-daughter relationship progress. No humor. No satisfaction in reading this.
This book was just really disappointing and incredibly frustrating to me. I wanted to like this one so badly but it just fell completely flat for me. None of the characters were fleshed out at all. I couldn’t tell you the first thing about any of them (excluding Lucinda) beyond what type of supernatural creature they are. The pacing was so off, and it was really bothering me the entire time. It felt like literally nothing and yet everything was happening in this book all at the same time. And 90% of the things that actually were happening didn’t have much to do with the plot, if at all.
The writing was honestly the worst part of it. It’s not the worst I’ve ever seen, but I’ve certainly seen better. I feel like this author has the potential to be a really good writer but they just aren’t there yet. A lot of this book just felt like really lazy writing to me in general. Nothing was explained. Like there were a few pretty significant deaths but nothing is really explained. One isn’t explained for obvious reasons. It’s the mystery of this series. The first one though? Not revealing for spoiler reasons but there should have been some repercussions at least for that one, even if it was just getting interrogated by the police or having Lucinda’s dad explain he took care of it, and she won’t be facing charges because of his influence. Something at least but it’s sort of just brushed under the rug. The writing style in general just felt very stiff and almost unreachable. It wasn’t readable to me in a way a lot of books are, and it kind of turned me off from the book. Honestly, I think the author is just trying to find their voice and they aren’t quite there yet.
Beyond that, I feel like there was so much trauma that should have been affecting Lucinda but other than her nightmares (which definitely could have been done better. Show me the trauma; don’t just tell me), she seemed relatively unfazed. Speaking of Lucinda, her character felt very off to me. Very much trying to make this character a tough bad bitch but really just making her an extremely unrealistic character with anger issues. Think Roxanne from Den of Vipers with worse writing (I don’t particularly like the writing of that book either).
This book also was trying to have a plot but it failed. Honestly had this book been longer with more complex characterization, better pacing, and a more thought out plot or at least better executed plot, I think it could have been really good. Unfortunately, because of all of the problems I had with it, I just cannot see myself continuing with this series. It just was not for me.
A tad bit confusing. I'm not really sure I liked this book. I liked the storyline, but I think I'm confused on the H. I honestly thought she was gonna kick serious a***, and boy was I wrong! All that training in hell for 9 months with a demon and she can barely handle teenagers and fireballs? And the guys and others just coming to save her at every corner? What happened to Lucifer daughter? The strong fighter? Why did the author go one way writing how strong she is, her forms, yet we get nothing but a hot mess who is saved by her men or screams to the sky when bad s**** happens? I was not impressed. I also didn't care for the bully aspect, I think it should have stayed on the path of the mystery, she checks out two things that's really all, and it's not really investigated? You build up this storyline of her training and ready to find out what happened to her bff/sister, and we get what ever this book was, teenage drama and a heroine who can't seem to survive a few days without help? I'm also confused on why when cins attacked that some of these guys all the sudden are there for her? That haven't really been there for her, it's like a switch that makes zero sense, she was hurt and now they want protect her? Now everything is ok? Now they like her? Yeah, I guess I'm just over all just confused?!
I did enjoy this once I decided to read it. I kept seeing this pop up everywhere, and just took a long time to grab it. I don't know why I put it off, maybe the cover wasn't appealing or something, I just don't know... Once I started, I was pulled right into the story, kept reading until I finished in one sitting, staying up way to late on a weeknight... The flow was good, the world building was a bit weak. The story did pull a few random tears from me in places, not drastic enough to need Kleenex, though. Lucinda/Cin/LuLu, the FMC, was developed pretty good, enough to get empathy from me for her situation, and be interested in what happens to her. The male characters (that probably end up in her RH) were a bit flat at first, but did develop a little- towards the end. I hope book 2 will develop them more, because right now I don't have any of them that really hold my interest. The relationships are definitely a slow burn. There's only one sex scene in the book, it's that slow. There are a lot of questions that I hope are answered in book 2. This did have a cliff-hanger ending, that had me scream out "Noooooo" cause I wanted to see what happened next! I am looking forward to reading book 2.
