Just getting started: I finally started Phantom Rising. I say finally because I love this series and I don't want it to end ... but I need to know what happens next so I can't put it off any longer. I can't mention much yet without it being a spoiler, so I'll just say that certain things come full circle and I CAN NOT believe what just happened .... cause if it goes where I think it's going to go then things are about to get INTENSE. I can't wait!

Finished: Wow! Just WOW! I finished and am nearly speechless. You stuck the landing Jessica! I had some thoughts and theories about how the series would tie everything up but you exceeded all my expectations. And because any thoughts I might manage to string together right now would be too spoiler-ish to post, I'll just keep it simple ... 10/10, would highly recommend this entire series.

OMG

Bridget is still a ghost whisperer, and she is considering moving to finish school at the special school for Sensitives. Meanwhile, the serial killer she helped stop (in book #1) is being arraigned at the local courthouse which is stressful not just for her, but Emily, Michael and all their mothers.
This, sadly, is the last in this series. I have loved every word, every character, everything.
A thrilling and terrifying story which had me on tenterhooks throughout, with threats, attacks and intensely scary moments.
I didn't want this to end, but the ending was amazing and 'right'. I cried.
Read it, but read the whole series, you won't be disappointed. I am going to miss Bridget so much.

As I neared the end of Phantom Rising, I was beyond sad at the thought of it ending. This book is the 5th and final book in the Phantom series by Jessica Hawke and it brings to a close a series that I have adored from book one. This book and the whole series has a deep emotional element and a large dose of intensity at every turn. Bridget has grown so much throughout the series and my fingers are crossed that maybe Jessica Hawke will give us a novella or check-in with these characters that have taken root in my heart.

This series has it all - wonderful characters, suspense, mystery, paranormal, friendship, some romance…. And then some!

Fantastic last book in the series, but also I wasn't ready for the story to end! I'm going to miss Bridget and her rag-tag ghost friends. Everything was wrapped up beautifully my only complaint is that the series is over. I want more in that world!

Almost there

I would rate this 3.5, I would have given a 4 if they didn’t bring back kale. I think it would have been interesting to see how Bridget would have developed on her without kale. And now that he’s human we won’t get that. On the plus side the potential for more romance increases.

At the peak of climax it had me tearing up. I had a feeling the killer would have gone ghost but I was expecting multi possession!

3.5 stars. I read these back to back. Bridget has been seeing ghosts since she briefly died in an accident that took her sister's life. This is a good story of maturation as Bridget is nearly 17 in the first book and that shows in some of her risky behavior and her relationship with her Mom. I liked that she learned to let others help her. I also appreciated the truly scary stuff that happened.

More Tears Than Expected

It’s been quite a few years since a YA novel has been able to make me ugly cry, and this one did! Which makes it a 5 star read to me.

exceptional read!

Truly, an epic story. It only took me two days to finish all books. Not my usual read, but I couldn’t stop. It was truly a great story.
