The definition of hate is Dante Romano.Hate never tasted so good. IsabellaI thought I was finally free from a life filled with hatred and pain.Tomorrow my life was going to start when I graduated from Eden Manners Academy for childcare, and under the terms of my grandmother's will I could collect my millions at the door. There was no money at the door-just him.Dante Romano. He was not alone.A little boy, his mirror image, his son.I wonder what brave woman took this man on because this man is a god.He is untouchable and as I stare, the little boy looks at me through those same soulless eyes and it breaks my heart. He's lost, they are lost, and even though I've just met them, it's like a painting of an artist who lost control. It's messy, violent, all over the place but so beautiful it takes my breath away-a masterpiece, father & son.I was so close to my freedom, but my grandmother dealt a painful blow from the grave.Work for one year after graduation before the money could be mine.I never got a choice. He made me an offer I tried to refuse, work for him or die.I've been bullied before, but they were nothing like him.Dante Romano is the definition of hate and as it turned out, that was the least of my problems. A dark & twisted Mafia Romance that will blow your mind. This is one wild ride that's not for the faint-hearted, and some scenes may upset readers. Book 2 in the Romano series. Each book is standalone with no cliff-hanger and no other purchase required.
OMG, just perfect, this book ticks all the boxes. Dante and Isabella will blow your mind.
Dante is damaged and he’s damaging to all around him, he can be cruel, aggressive, loving, affectionate and passionate with such intensity it’s stunning, you never know what your going to get from one page to the next.
Isabella is damaged too though she doesn’t realise just how much, when she learns the truth of her past it’s going to take her life in a completely new direction, one she never expected. Her relationship with Dante and his son Luca is set to become a beautiful thing if only she can accept his faults and her own.
A stunning book that I found difficult to put down, even to the point of eating and sleeping. So smooth in its flow with beautiful chemistry and storyline, the passion runs off the pages with these two, I loved it so much.
Awesome stuff, I recommend reading the whole series in order, you’ll get so much more satisfaction that way.
I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review
This was a very good read. Things happen quite fast and there was no stalling in the storyline. Luca really pulled at my heartstrings. I liked Isabella and the way her character evolved throughout the book. I'm looking forward to Romeo's book.
Good story, dark romance with a small bdsm theme, but nicely done.
This is the 2nd book in this series. While characters overlap between books, each is a stand-a-line with different h and H, but all the H's are from same family. (Didn't read the first...based on a few reviews, it seemed a little too dark and degrading for my taste ... (the H kidnaps the h and keeps her in a cage in the his room against her will with only a pot to pee in and apparently whips her when she doesn't obey. ...and she falls in love with him????) No thanks.
This one, 2nd in series, wasn't like that. The H does take her to be Nanny to his troubled son and doesn't give her much choice in the matter, but in order to inherit the billions her grandmother left her she must abide by the requirements of the will which require her to work as a nanny for some family for 1 year after graduating from nanny college. She has no living family and sees herself in the little boy she's to care for and wants to help him.
There is only one spanking scene in the beginning and one with a whip...but the last is more like a scene at a bdsm club where he finally shows her who he really is. This latter is more typical bdsm in that it's consensual and he provides after care.
Aside from that, it was a descent story that held your interest with multi-layered characters with deep issues who ultimately heal each other.
Dante and Isabella will have you glued to this book! For Isabella she lost her freedom and independence when her parents were killed and sent to be with her grandmother. In her eyes her grandmother was a cold and callous woman who found her lacking. She was sent to a finishing school where she was shown nothing but torment from both the teachers and students alike. On the day of her graduation, she was thrown another blow when she was told that she had to work one year before she could get her inheritance which is how she hooked up with Dante. Dante was looking for the perfect nanny for his son in which he found in Isabella. She was the light that bought his son out of the shadows that held him captive and for that Dante would do anything to keep her with him but when his heart starts to succumb to Isabella will he pull away? This story will have you in Isabella and Dante's corner to make it to a happily ever after.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I was really excited to read the book based on the description and high rating, but I am disappointed with it.
I have a soft spot for single-parent mafia romances and every one I've read so far were amazing, but this one was a disappointment for me.
The storyline was good, the plot. Dante takes Isabella as a nanny for his son. Isabella doesn't want, but when he meets Luca, his son, she's completely mesmerised. She has her breakdowns and she wants to leave the mansion, but she always comes back. I loved her relationship with Luca.
What I didn't like in the book was sometimes too darkish for me scenes between Dante and Bella, but it doesn't influence my review. The thing that made me dislike the book were the often errors in the story, mixing the POVs, weird words. I don't really pay attention when there is 1-3 errors, because mistakes happen, but here they were constantly and it really annoyed me.
Dante needs someone in his life, if only to at least help with his son. So he forces Isabella,to work for him as his son's nanny. Little does he know she has a lot of baggage and he may not be able to keep her.
Although you don’t need to read #1 first, I think you will enjoy it more if you have.
This is the story of Dante and Isabella.
Dante is the youngest of the gorgeous Romano brothers and he is dark, mean and moody. He had lost his first love four years ago, she left and never came back, but when he found her, he also found his 3 year old son Luca. ( won’t spoil what happened, its covered in #1 ).
Luca has had a terrible start in life and was quiet and very withdrawn and your heart went out to him. Dante decides Luca needs a nanny and so he goes to the best academy for the very finest nanny money can buy. Dante wants Luca to pick his nanny and it wasn’t until the last person comes on stage and he laughs at her pink hair, that Dante finds his nanny. No job interview, no discuss terms and contract, just the fact that the light of his life laughed for the first time, sealed Isabellas fate.
Isabella had a very unconventional childhood, she was dragged around the country by her parents and never had a real education. One day her parents were killed and it changed her life completely. Isabella was taken to be cared for by her wealthy gran, who she never liked and didn’t really know. It was the wish of her gran she attend a 3 year course to become a nanny and she had made it a condition of her will, that Isabella had to work for a family as a nanny for a year, before she got her inheritance. (This was a shock to her).
On her last day after having received the shock about her inheritance, she decides to leave the academy in a storm and shock all the stuck up teachers and all the plastic bullying girls. She dyes her hair bright pink, dresses in high heels and looks like a whore and she gets the last word. Little did she know her life was about to be so very different to what she had wanted.
Dante has her picked up outside her dorm and taken to his home, where she was to become Luca’s nanny, whether she wanted to be or not.
The relationship between them is stormy and full of passion and how she brings Luca out of his shell is lovely. There are many twists and turns and ups and downs and the relationship between them is very dark, but suits each of them.
I really liked the characters, wasn’t sure about Dante to start but he grew on me and it was nice to meet his other family members.
Being neglected from her parents and mentally abused by her grandmother and at school, Isabella showed her true personality the day of her graduation. Dante wanted a nanny and a woman touch for his son, Luca. Luca chose Isabella because he liked her pink hair (she died it pink the day of her graduation. Forced to take the nanny position or be killed, chose to be Luca nanny. She bucked every command Dante gave her, including trying to running away. Once she settled into her position, Luca started talking to her about the bad things his mother did to him (it was heartbreaking). Danta was so happy that his son was opening up became he barely talked to anyone. That is when he decided he had to keep Isabella there for his son. It turned out he also need her. He loved her strong personality and she wasn't afraid of him. Dante found out about her parents and her grandmother, he had no choice but to tell her. He know he had to be there for her until she was able to process the truth about her past. Seeing her so vulnerable that is when he knew he would protect her. Their relationship became strong but Donte wanted her to see the real him. He took her to his BDSM club where he frequent and to the place where he had people killed. He know he went too far, but she wanted to see his entire life. She left him to think and he thought she left him. He was happy when she came back to him. Also she found out she was the 5th riches person in the world. It was wonderful reading what she did with the money.

This is the 2nd book in this fascinating series and is Dante and Isabella’s story. Isabella is finally finishing the academy for childcare and is looking forward to her freedom as she should be getting her inheritance from her grandmother, only of her to be given another whammy, and that is to be a nanny to Dante’s son for 1-year then she can claim her inheritance. Dante is damaged, and can be cruel and loving, and his little son Luca steals Isabella’s heart from the moment they meet, and she becomes his light to his shadows. No spoilers: this is one of those stories that just needs to be read as you will not be disappointed. This is a well written tale which is dark and twisted as well as having violence, murder, betrayal, abuse, intrigue, secrets, and is a raw, gritty, and powerful story which pulls at the heartstrings. This is a mind-blowing read which this talented author has done a wonderful job in penning, and this story is not for the feint-at-heart. Looking forward to reading more in this addictive series.
📖 Throne of hate 🖋️ Stella Andrews 🧬 Mafia romance ⭐ 3,5 🌶️ 4
Isabella can see freedom just outside her reach when she graduates. She knows her grandmother has left her millions. She'll escape all the trauma of her past and be free, but the will has a bump and now she'll have to work for a year before she can collect the money. Enter Dante and Luca. Father and Son. Both dark, both damaged. Bella bring light into their life and her own past has given her tools to help deal with the dysfunctional family and members of the family. Bella finds the way into Luca's heart and Dante isn't far behind but the damage stands in their way. Loved the characters. Bella was stronger than you think at the beginning and Dante, while he isn't a nice man, he also recognizes Bella's value pretty early on (even if he won't admit it). I sped through this book and definitely enjoyed it.
I enjoyed the book. Dante goes to a nanny school on graduation day to get his son a nanny. His son is there and laughs when Bella walks across the stage. Luca is only three years old and has been so badly abused by the mother, traumatized . He was withdrawn from everything and everybody. Because Luca laughed when Bella crossed the stage to get her diploma. Dante wants Bella no matter he has to do. Bella falls in love with Luca and it breaks her heart that Luca has gone through so much in his short life. After 6 months Bella wants to leave and take care of her Inheritance from her deceased grandmother. She will at least be a millionaire. Dante is devastated, how could she leave, but then everyone leave them. Will Bella go back to Dante and Luca? You won’t be able to put the book down.
This is Dante's story. He is a dark and troubled single dad who needs a nanny for his son, Luca. He attends a graduation of new nannies with Luca and will take whichever one Luca shows any reaction to. That happens to be Isabella who has had a very difficult childhood and a torrid time during the last three years at the nanny school. Dante takes her and Luca home and watches Luca blossom under Isabella's care. Dante also realises he has more of an interest in his nanny than is healthy. As he introduces her to his dark, Mafia world and also his darker and depraved tastes in the bedroom, Isabella struggles to decide whether she should stay or try and run away. Read an ARC for an honest review.
Wow! Again, this book is hard to put down once you start reading this very captivating story. Being book 2 of this awesome saga EMOTIONS are again very strongly felt from the very beginning. Dante, being the older brother to Lucian is even worst off EMOTIONALLY. Definitely, darker and dangerously addictive, he’s unable to feel anything but darkness and pain until he sets his eyes on Isabella whose as broken as he is but without the darkness. They are polar opposites destined to meet and find unconditional love. This is a mafia dark romance filled with violence, murder, betrayal, abusive behaviours, dark erotism, but you’ll also find love, forgiveness, passion, determination, strength and commitments that will blow you away! A definite READ!
This one is weird the set up of the story and the main character. I can’t describe it, but Isabella isn’t like real......and her actions in the first two chapters aren’t the actions of one single person. Like she takes on bullying for years but then lashes out on the last day in a really mean way. But when the teachers at the school call her mean and tell her her attitudes bad, she doesn’t believe and calls them mean.
I don’t know, maybe her character is meant to be really bad so there’s some character growth. But her character reads as if she is 14 and I don’t think she’s meant to read that young.
Isabella and Dante romance is so inspirational. Light and dark, good and bad, cruel and kind. It is everything they both need and more. I could not help but admire Isabella for the way she dealt with Dante's son Luca. It was so moving, tender and loving. I was taken by surprise what Isabella did with her inheritance and how she made peace with her past. Most admirable. A wonderful story of a mafia man and his butterfly. A must read. You will not be disappointed.
Reasons I enjoyed this book: Happily Ever After Inspirational Page-turner Realistic Steamy Tragic Unpredictable Wonderful characters
Love and hate. Isabella is finally getting her freedom from people forcing her into what they want. But on the day she graduates from the hated academy for childcare workers, she is kidnapped and forced to bet the nanny to a mobster’s son. but little Luca tugs on her heartstrings, while his father Dante scares and intrigues her all at the same time. She is trapped for a year but will it be pain or pleasure? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review
The Romano's book 2. Mafia story done right. It's a thin line between love and hate. This book was seriously dramatic and dark at times. This is Dante and Isabella story. Both are some kind of messed up with plenty of issues. Now add in sweet loveable Luca, Dante son and this story hits another level. How they meet is crazy. The backstory to the story is crazy good. The money issue is weird and sometimes unbelievable but no spoilers from me. I love this author.
Damien has gone through an ultimate betrayal and feels that he needs to protect his heart. Isabella has lived a life of lies, bullying, and hatred. She is to inherit her grandmother’s fortune but has to spend a year working as a nanny before she can inherit. Damien shows her his dark side and wonders if he’s lost her forever. Her decision and actions show Damien how she feels about him. This story pulls on the heartstrings as both characters have no idea how to connect with other people. The slow change in them is wonderful.
When I responded on a post how excited I was to read this book, the authors response was: Thank you and I hope you like it. My response: Silly woman! Of course I'm going to love it and I did. This series is great with strong male and female leads. Its not dragged out and the author quickly gets to the heart of it and its an exciting ride after that. I can't for Rome's story...that one may just knock me out! All in a great way!
I have read several of Stella Andrews books and always enjoy them. This book grabbed me by the first page until the last . Dante a strong Dominate male, who is also part of a Mafia family needs a nanny for his abused and troubled son. Isabella is kidnapped by his men to take home to the the Nanny..... This is a steamy romance, Character building, past abuses and pain revealed... I definitely recommend this. I sat and read it until I finished ....................Sherrie
Im so glad Dante got his HEA! There wasnt a lot of action or suspense in this book and again i felt like the sexy scenes were cut short and not that detailed. This book is alot tamer then other dark romance but is still a really good read. I loved how the author told the story of Luca and how he became the little boy he should have been all along Over all this book is pretty good even if i do wish it was a little more juicier.
Dante is a man you want to hate but can’t. Any man who is willing to go to the lengths he does to keep his son safe and happy is a man to hold on to. The Romano brothers may be a little warped, but man, are they hot.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Dante was broken by his x who ran away while she was pregnant. It took over 2 years to find her, and when they did we find out just what kind of woman she is. After everything he has his son back and found love in the last place he would suspect. He and Isabelle find the love they never thought they would.
Dante had nothing but hate in his blood. His wife left him with their child. He hunted her like an animal and found what would haunt him for life. A little boy badly abused deep into his shell. He needed help in fixing him. HR needed a nanny. HR found Isabella. And what a live they have.
This book blew me away. I laughed and I cried. Isabella and Dante's story was off the charts amazing. From rags to riches. How one crazy rebellious young lady who brought a big Mafioso like Dante to his knees. And don't forget about Luca. So young and innocent and so lost she brings him out of his shell. What a beautiful story.
Wow! Bit different. Really good book again, but even a little bit harder to read in places. These books are a romance tale. But!!!! You have to understand, this is a Mafia tale, something's won't be easy to read. Not for the squeamish. I did wonder a couple of times, but!!! Excellent book again. Just one more to go Sue P
I have loved Dante and his son Luca since the first Romano book. He has been through so much and wants to help his son heal after the years of abuse his mother put him through. Isabella is the perfect person to bring ys .nlight into both their lives and you delivered a masterpiece with their story.
