Ok

This is my first book by this author, it was ok. I felt like it lacked thorough character development. Cairo and Bria meet. Drama. She moves in with him for protection. They like each other, have sex, then BAM, their in love. The was a kinda unbelievable build up, they just kinda fell into this thing. Her mother was horrible. Her best friend, I suspect is a snake..... I'm thinking that she sleeping with her ex fiance. Few grammatical error. Few ok sex scenes. Plot ok. Storyline itself was lacking. Based on this book I, more then likely, will not be purchasing another book.

Wow, Bria is such a determined woman and her hard work really paid off in her life and career. The threats that are made against her though, due to one of her cases, sets in motion a series of events that leads to action packed chapters. I felt like I could really relate to Bria and Cairo’s characters as the at that they are shown makes their personalities stand out. It was a great book

Protecting Bria!

This book is full of threats, angst, bribery, and drama. The storyline is somewhat predictable and moved slower than I am used to. It was good to see Matthew "Wolf" and his team again as they help protect Bria from a mob hit. Cairo and Bria definitely had chemistry that moved quickly through the story. Since their time was short they definitely had trust issues. Bria's mom was a big problem in their relationship and it was really hard on Bria. The characters were well developed and it felt like old home week. There were some editing issues and I feel like that is what stopped the story from flowing properly. I did enjoy the story but felt it could have been better. It felt very stilted.

This is a wonderful addition tot Susan Stokers world and in the first page we get to meet Wolf and Cairo. They have been sent in to protect a witness in a case against Mob man Moses Giovanni in the process Cairo Holden rescue Bria Dawson the prosecutor assigned to the case She has got a guilty verdict against Moses but he isn't going to go quietly and has had a hit put out on her. As Cairo is on his last op before retirement he is soon drawn into the protection of Bria who has no idea of the danger she is in. As danger circles them Cairo will pull out all the stops with the help of his tam to protect the woman that has stolen his heart.

I love the story. I do not like Bria's mom though. Bria is trying to cut the cord from her mother and have her own life. She takes a case prosecuting a cartel boss and finds herself in the line of fire. Cairo/Chase saves Bria's life and he becomes her protector, along with Wolf and his team. There is more going on that Bria realizes though. A wonderful romance and some action. A story you don't want to miss. I look forward to the next book.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Bria was the prosecutor in case against Moses Giovanni and he didn't like how well she was doing so he puts a hit out on her. Luckily Cairo and his team were there already and saved her from a drive-by shooting. Cairo is attracted to Bria and when an attack happens at her home, Cairo invites her to stay at his condo. Cairo may not want to act on it right away but Bria does and they soon develop a relationship. Cairo and his team were in New York to watch the trial and escort Moses to his next trial for more charges and an additional task. When the attack on Bria happened, they are assigned to protect her and her family as well. There is several more aborted attacked before Bria is kidnapped and a further crime of Moses is exposed and the judge is arrested. The new judge gives Moses a just sentence. Cairo offers for Bria to go with him back to San Diego but she wants time to herself first. Before Cairo comes for her, Bria moves to San Diego to be with him. She meets his family and her father is there as well as he left his over-bearing wife finally. Cairo proposes and Bria accepts and everyone is happy.

Torn.

The characters and plot in this book are great, however there are numerous ridiculous typos and punctuation mistakes which distract.
This is the first book I have read by this author, so I am not sure if this is a one off but this book definitely needs editing which was a disappointment when the story was so strong, thankfully I read this on Kindle Unlimited, so fortunately cost was not an issue.

This book is a wonderful way to spend a few hours of quiet and uninterrupted time. The chemistry and passion of both Bria and Cairo for their jobs. No their career choices. It will definitely enthrall and entertain your senses of adventure.

I’m looking forward to seeing more from Special Forces Operation Alpha.

All Bria wants in life is to be the best prosecutor she can be. She has worked hard to get this case.
Cairo is ready to retire from the Seals. He works with Wolf. They are sent in on a protection detail. All his plans go out the window when he sees Bria.
Cairo is bound and determined to keep Bria safe after she receives death threats.
Will they find all the players before they get their hands on Bria? Will they work things out for a future?

3.5 Strong Stars Bria is a strong and smart heroine. She is driven and she loves what she does. I really like that in this story. I like their immediate chemistry. I love the mystery, the action and suspense. I like that Cairo also is driven and loves his work. This story moves easily and at a good pace without any extra. Nice writing. Good character development.

I enjoyed this story, the plot and characters were strong, the story was written well, it was packed with many emotions. Cairo and Bria were strong characters, their path was a bit on the bumpy side but they were made for each other. The connection and chemistry between them was strong, they were good together.

This is an action-packed story with danger, passion, and suspense. Bria and Cairo have amazing chemistry and as much as he tries to fight his attraction for her, they can't resist the pull. I was on edge reading because even though the story line is somewhat predictable, I didn't know what was going to happen next or how it was going to happen. I liked it!

Both Cairo and Bria have sacrificed their personal lives for their career. The characters are engaging and wonderful and the storyline took me a great ride through their chemistry and drama with a threat from the mob. I am looking forward to reading more in this series.

DNF @ 33%.

This is fanfiction for a bigger, longer series by a different author? That somehow got published, and supported by the OG author?

It seems like a really sweet thing but maybe its because I haven’t read the full series that I wasn’t a fan. I wasn’t invested and had no desire to read on.

Good read

Bria met Cairo when he was in the courtroom while watching her case against a mob boss. When she left the courthouse she had shots coming at her and he rescued her. There continued to be accidents, as the whole team tried to keep her safe.

The story itself deserves a 5 but the numerous words misspelled it was hard to read some parts. It felt like the characters were fake not normal interactions between wolf and the others.

Wow, great read!!

Oh Yes, once again, I have fallen in love with the Special Forces: Operation Alpha series. These guys and (girls) are so awesome because they are determined to protect their country and those they love. Bria is a bad A_ _ female and takes her job seriously as well. Cairo is quick to take action to protect her even though he is to retire from the military. Their connection and chemistry are great. And when you add Wolf and the other team members, it truly rounds out the amazing dedication and strength of all these characters. Lots of danger, suspense, definitely drama, and bad guys. I couldn't stomach Bria's mom though. These guys are my kind of heroes and the women are my heroines.

I do love reading about this group of seals. Good story with some suspense and romance. There are a few typos in this book and doesn't seem to flow as well as some books i have read with this seal team in, but still a good read.

There's plenty of action, suspense, scary moments and plenty of loving. She goes after the head of the mob and threats and attempts on her life. When Cairo met her, he was due to retire, that didn't happen when he was assigned as her bodyguard. But is this the end to her problems? We'll see.
