If anyone can break my loyalty to my siblings...it's her.

They call me Vlad--in memory of my father. I've always been the meekest of our family, the mediator. Now we're being told a curse will kill us all, unless we give in to our fated mates. And the one responsible for this atrocity? A god, of all things.

I didn't need the added pressure. The darkness in me has been fighting me, and every day I'm losing more ground against my own self. And if that part of me escapes...there's no telling how many innocent humans will die this time around. Because, da, it happened before. And I've got no wish to repeat it.

Then she lands into my life. and turns it upside down. Me, inside out. I know she's here for a reason--she's a Dacian witch, and I don't believe in coincidences. But I'll gladly play by her rules. She may want me unawares, but I see right through her. Just as she sees right through me...

I can talk the big talk, but when it comes to Silviana, I'm already a lost cause. No matter what hides behind her deceit, I'm already lost.

Alexa Whitewolf is a fiction writer, newspaper columnist of daily issues and author of the critically acclaimed Moonlight Rogues shifter series.

Alexa has been a lifelong writer and first began creating other worlds and characters at the ripe age of 12. Growing up in the Transylvania region surrounded by epic mountains and a never ending stream of legends and stories was bound to create an overactive imagination. This shines through Ms. Whitewolf’s writing by creating worlds filled with unique folklore, life wisdom and plenty of furry creatures.

An avid traveler, Alexa writes under a penname and spends her days between an office job and writing, in Canada’s capital when she’s not flying somewhere with lush landscapes and plenty of hiking trails.

Her series focus on strong heroines, kind yet sexy men, fights of good and evil and the never-ending learning curve of humanity’s strong – and weak – points. Romanian folklore is intertwined with her writing, more notably in her shifter romance series, the Moonlight Rogues. Her other series draw on world mythology, such as the Avalon myth and Arthurian legend (the Avalon Chronicles) and Ancient Egypt (The Sage’s Legacy).

Deadly Deceit is the third book in Alexa Whitewolf’s Lost Royals of Transylvania series, and it’s safe to say that this is my favourite book in the series thus far. I was hooked from the first page and could not put it down, happily devouring the story to see how all the pieces came together.

Before diving into this one, you need to read the prior books first. While the romance in this stands alone, there is an overarching story that develops with each book. Lots of questions have appeared over the first two books, and Deadly Deceit works toward providing answers. It does not provide all, but enough details come to light that you’ll be sucked deeper into the world and left theorising about what is to come next. Plus, there is plenty more insight into certain characters that will have you eager to see how their story develops.

Without a doubt, this was a fabulous addition to the series, and I am eager for book four.

First things first, this is the third volume in the “Lost Royals of Transylvania” and of course you should read the whole series, should you not you will regret it, because is fun, fun, fun… technically every story is a stand alone, into an ongoing story-arc, thus you could begin right here, but you would surely want to pic the previous two afterwards 😉 Bram Stoker might have discovered Dracula, but Whitewolf knows his children intimately; yes, Dracula’s children, and yes again, the one and only Vlad Ţepeş, you hear it right, and if you know your vampire 101, you already know how all this vampire fatherhood goes 😉 Anyway, this dysfunctional family lives in the Carpathian Mountains, trying to go to the motions of being undead for a very, very long time. Each of them has their own personality and perspective on life, while we get a look at any of them: Nicolae, Alexandru, Vlad, Elizabeta, Mirabela, Violeta.

“Deadly Deceit” is Vlad story (the ‘son’ not Ţepeş 😉) who has always been the most level-headed in the family, mediating between all the fronts. But the present situation brings even the most collected member of the family to fully incandescence.-The family is cursed and bound to final death unless they renounce to their fate mates. Vlad rapidly seems another possibility….kill the one responsible for the curse and be done… the problem being….he is a god…. And the presence of Silvana (the Dacian witch) does not exactly work in Vlad favour…. or maybe it does, when it comes to fate-mates, witches, gods, and vampires all bets are off

Alexa Whitewolf has put her own spin on the Transylvania vampire mythos, by blending paranormal romance, actual Transylvanian folklore, mythology, fantasy, and Dracula lore with captivating vampire characters that – fortunately!! – do not spark into a highly entertaining story, funny and fast-paced with credible characters and a very solid mythological background. Whitewolf not only knows her mythology but also succeeds in wrapping the lore into a wonderful paranormal plot, compelling, fast-paced, easy-to-read, and highly addicted, so be warned, because once you meet this Carpathian vampires, you won’t be able to live without them. Alexa Whitewolf interlaces factual mythology and Romanian folklore, with fiction elements to create a fresh, captivating and fully enticing story. Bram Stoker didn’t get everything right, but Whitewolf for sure doesn’t get anything wrong. The characters are very well-crafted, credible, and interesting; every vampire has his own personality and the kind of chemistry between them that only family members achieve. And – of course – there is romance… in spades!

Wow.. Just Wow. I thoroughly enjoyed this book with the house of Dracul siblings once again.
Vlad seems to be losing time and creating corpses and they are all left to wonder if it is the curse.
In this book he meets his consort but unfortunately she has suspicious intentions.
Silviana is a blood witch who manages to worm her way in to Vlad's life and his heart.
Both are reacting to a very real connection that could ultimately save or destroy the heirs.

Betrayal, drama, blood, heat, heartbreak and control are massive within this story.
I felt for Vlad who is not so much a monster as everyone may believe and who is losing his grip on control.
Silviana is afraid of her reaction to this vampir after all he is the enemy.. Isn't he?
I enjoyed the fast pace, the blossoming relationship, the vulnerability and the plot.
Written with creativity and romance clearly seeping from the pages.
Worth the read for any fan of vampire love and fated mates.

The title really suits the book as deceit runs rampant within its pages. Vlad and his siblings, but mostly Vlad, are betrayed by Silviana. Silviana and her brother Stefan were betrayed by the Dacians, the witch sect they believed had looked after them since the murder of their parents and grandmother by the vampires of the house of Dracul. By the time they find proof of the deception, serious damage has been done and all Silviana can hope for now is that Vlad and his siblings will forgive her and allow her to prove that she is on their side. Stefan in the meantime, is playing a very dangerous game. He needs to convince the Dacian coven that he is on their side whilst at the same time feeding information to the house of Dracul. A death sentence for him if he is caught.

Deadly Deceit is the third book of the Lost Royals of Transylvania. We follow Vlad, as he finds his mate.

Vlad got a dark past, he was saved when his father turned him, but the darkness still lives inside. Lately has been coming out and taking over a lot more. He is usually the one that keeps things calm.

Then he saves Dacian Witch SIlviana in the wood and takes her home to heal. It's obvious to his sibling that she is hiding something. He notices it too, but there is a spark between them.

It's a steamy story, full of romance and deceit, with a little of mythology and magic sprinkled in between. With each book more of the family secrets are revealed and how it all fits into this world. I can't wait to read the next one. :)

This is book three in the Lost Royals of Transylvania series. This is great spin and different take on the vampire lore that you are so drawn into the fantasy that you can’t put the book down. It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention. Well-developed story line and characters. The world building is detailed and imaginative. Enjoyable and worth the time. . This book answers some of the questions from the previous but also leaves us with more questions. Can’t wait to see what happens next. In this third book of this series, Vlad and his family from the house of Dracul are back. Silviana and her people are supposed to be extinct but they are still after the vampire. She is used as a pawn to infiltrate the royal family, but the plan backfires. As the curse takes hold, Vlad and Silviana are faced with secrets, deception, lies, betrayal and love, while they stumble upon revelations of Zalmoxis, Tepes, danger, vampire, Dacians, the hunters, their curse and more of their lineage. Fun read

As with all the books in this series I was completely drawn in and loved every second. As you get to know more about the characters and overall story the more invested you become!
Magic, vampires, werewolves and fates bonds there really is something for everyone and the spice is an added bonus.
This time around we focus on Vlad and Silviana. She’s sent to steal from the house of Dracul but falls hard for the dark and brooding Vlad.
He makes her question everything and pretty soon it comes to light that everything she fought for and believed in was a lie.
As the siblings gear up for all out war and danger is lurking round every corner I wonder if they will all escape the curse and all find peace.
Highly recommend this whole series!

Vlad is the star this time and meets Silviana and what a story it was. Fun and entertaining to read to see how it goes considering that Silviana is a witch. A twist on the typical vampire themes that combines crazy siblings that have spent too much time together. Some answers are revealed and always enjoy this crazy family. Fast paced and full of interesting characters that made me laugh and groan. Had to see how it all went down and if Vlad would get a happy ending. And see what poor Vlad must face.

You think you are on the side for good then find out was not what it seemed. Silviana wanted to become more not knowing that was not the goal. Even though Vlad’s family was trying to warn him he just couldn’t help himself. We learn a lot of interesting facts in this story which only adds to the mystery of what is actually going on.

An enemies to lovers romance, a somewhat quiet vampire with a dark secret, and a curse that's getting worse... Things are getting dicey for the House of Dracul :D
