K. G Karunathilaka to me is the most talented SL writer / translator of all time. He is light years ahead of everyone else in terms of language proficiency. By that, I mean he's ahead of Marting Wikramashinha, Kumarathunga Munidasa, T. B Ilangarathna etc.. This book is another one of his grate translations. A collection of 10 short stories from 10 great authors around the world. Liked all the stories except for the last one, hence 4 stars instead of 5. His 'Bimgei Sirakaruwa', 'Makar Chudra' books had better stories overall, but 'Lily Mal Thune Awanhaledi' is a must read for any Karunathilaka fan nevertheless.
