Times are changing-our methods must shift with the tide It's never been so easy-and so difficult-to reach the younger generation. While they're active online, they're also less likely to be active in the church. This is a worrisome trend that means their morals, values, and needs regarding faith are being neglected. This book proposes a shift of church culture to reach a new generation. Using unique perspectives and focusing on the way of the future, this book aims to help bring a whole new generation of Millennials and Generation Z into the Apostolic church. We can't control the future, but we can adapt to it and reach a satisfying result. Loaded with fresh insights and ideas, Growing Young shows pastors and leaders how to engage young people and open their eyes to God's kingdom.
A great book to help the church stay relevant throughout shifts in culture in the passing/future generations WITHOUT compromising the message. The author is clear regarding the intentions and purpose of the book and does an excellent job in intertwining non-biblical, yet real life events in history with the word of God to make his various points across both parts of the book. It is of course through the lens of the Apostolic movement but even if that were to not be your background or denomination, there is much value and wisdom in this book. Highly recommended for current leaders, aspiring leaders, and anyone that just wants to bring forth positive changes in their church vision, purpose, and values.
Culture does really have a great impact in our churches. It is very significant in reaching the Millennials and Gen Zs. This book will give you insights on how, as a leader, change that culture.
