My Rail Life is a book written by a Metro North Railroad Conductor. I do not consider myself a Author but more of a story teller. This book has 70 stories I have heard, seen, or lived throughtout my career. Dealing with the public is never easy but it can be entertaining at times. I hope if you read this book it makes you laugh a little, and even cry a little, because that's exactly what I did when I was living MY RAIL LIFE.

A fun read, especially while traveling on his line.

I will never forget the bitter cold winter spent with Conductor Mike on my regular train. I didn’t realize how much I missed him until I took a train to Fairfield and recognized his voice. And found him to say hello. The way in which he spreads kindness when he was working is infused through this collection of self-published stories. He is self aware and these stories are heartfelt. And some are hilarious and I believe every word.

This book is like sitting next to someone’s drunk uncle. For 10 minutes at a party, it’s a blast. A transcontinental flight would be a bit much. But the author seems like a nice guy and is truly happy with his life and career, so God bless and thanks for the chuckles.

I work for a sister agency, but the crazy stories are the same. You really can't make some of this ridiculousness up.
I followed Mike on social media for years, probably starting around the time that he was thrust into the limelight for apologizing to passengers for some poor communication leading to them freezing their asses off on a platform in the dead of winter. (This is discussed in the book). Hell, I may have even ridden his train a time or two back when I found myself on the New Haven line weekly.
I was laughing through most of this book.
