Not what I had hoped for!

The Hero: Slay - he is a self proclaimed psychopath who was put in jail for life with no possibility of parole for killing someone who hurt his sister. Since then he has killed every guy they put in a cell with him save one who hung himself. So now has a cell all to himself. When the opportunity presents itself, he decides to escape rather than face the death penalty.

The heroine: Sienna - while on a trip through the Arizona desert with her boyfriend. They can’t seem to stop arguing about everything. She had wanted the trip to rekindle the flame between them but decided it was hard to rekindle a flame that never burned very bright to begin with.

The Story: After driving past the huge muscular man in the desert, Sienna wanted to stop to help him, though her boyfriend decided to drive by him and flip him the bird instead. Karma instantly hit when their car overheats just up the road.

I picked this book because it sounded similar to the book I just read, that I really enjoyed. That book was called Dirty Psychopath and it was everything this book strives to be. It was bloody, like this one starts out to be, but while this guy just goes crazy and murders someone for the hell of it because he is crazy, the guy in that book had a good reason for murdering a bunch of people (at least in his own mind), and it really fit well into the story.

Also, this book has a BBW and I hate it when books mention that over and over, like how thick her thighs are and how big her booty is, or how jiggly her chest is, etc… I don’t need to read about it a bunch of times to get the picture. And Slay mentioned that he was psycho way too many times as well. It was like the story was trying too hard to be what it wanted to be. It didn’t help things that Sienna was an astrologer and the story kept waxing poetic about the stars, the universe, fate and things like that. It got a bit too new-agey to be believable.

I love that his name is Slay and he is such a badass! Our MC is an escaped convict like literally still has the dirty prison uniform and all from his escape. Slay has never had anything to fight for. He has never wanted anything as much as he’s wants Sienna a beauty with a body to die for. Sienna and her current boyfriend are on a vacation a last ditch effort to save her relationship but she learns that this trip is not about keeping this love alive but building a new one. I read this two years ago and now it is in audio. I absolutely love the narrators !!

I forgot how wicked Slay was he really was a psycho and I love it 🥰😘!!

If you blink this book will be over, it moves at warp speed from beginning to end. We first meet the hero as he is escaping prison and he decides to take the heroine, dump off her douchey ex and steal his car. Considering the length there is a decent amount of detail and story line. The attraction and lust between Slay and Sienna is apparent from their first glance. Even as Sienna is scared for her life she shows balls, surely more than her ex does. The two are convinced their tryst will forever only be a one time thing given that he's a wanted man and she's a white woman whose now presumed kidnapped. In a matter of hours the two are on the run from the law and dangerous cartels all while knowing they won't and can't last. Like the wild west, the hero is off to a mysterious town that takes in outlaws, somewhere the heroine can't follow. Of course fate wants the two together and Sienna eventually gets rescued after once again getting kidnapped and the two get their HEA.

The author does another great job of bringing us another book that has a cast of well developed and engaging characters with a great connection and the storyline Had a great flow.

I liked this quick, over-the-top read. This is one super intense book and Slay is no joke. He is as far from your average book boyfriend as you could get and yeah, you see learn really quickly how this book got its title. While I always feel that you are either going to like this author's books or not, this read certainly pushes that to a whole new level. Regardless, all the normal good things are here: the sweetness, the instant connection, the heat and the nothing else matters romance. Very enjoyable. I'm electing to post a candid review.

Slay was very intense man. Very protective towards the people he cared about. This was a quick and easy read. Good for a reading slump or just a cleanse after a big series. Instant attraction/ love. Slay is very graphic with his sexual thoughts but when it comes to it, the spice is little. Overall cute Story.

Wow, just wow. From the start you can tell this guy is a psycho. Stranded With The Psycho by Annabelle Winters is a great read and while it gives you a little insight into the mind of a killer, it also shows that even the most sadistic motherfuckers out there can show a little compassion.
This book is about Slay, an escaped convict who comes across Sienna in the middle of the dessert. Being a killer since the age of 8 he has no qualms about ending Sienna and her boyfriend but one look at Sienna has him feeling a side of himself that never existed.
Sienna can see that Slay is a murderous psycho but after her boyfriend now ex willingly leaves her to save himself, then gets kidnapped by banditos, she has no choice but to go along with Slay. She can see parts of him that show her he isn't all that bad and on a rare night where all the stars are aligned she willingly gives herself to him.
As much as Slay wants to keep Sienna for himself he knows that he must leave her at the border so that the police will stop looking for him. She is too good to be drawn into his bad ways.
In the end Slay and Sienna are brought together again when her piece of shit ex trades her to the banditos for his life. Slay sees that she is being sold as a slave and buys her to save her, except this time he keeps her which is what she wants too and they go on to live their H.E.A.
I actually enjoyed this book. It must have brought out the small sadistic part in me or something lol. I liked how Slay killed without remorse and even though he hadn't been laid in years, still didn't take Sienna until she was ready. I think they evened each other out. Slay showed her how bad people can be and she showed him the good.

Slay is in jail for life. During his time in jail he was known as a psycho. He did kill. In jail he had a lot of time to read & think. One day the guard was not the nicest. So Slay killed him and took the other guard hostage and left the jail.
Sienna is driving through the dessert with her boyfriend... The see a man on the side of the road in the middle of the desert. Her boyfriend doesn't stop but she throws a bottle of water to him. A life ways up he road their car overheats. By this time Slay caches up with he car. Sienna is scared but doesn't show unlike her boyfriend. Things happen along the way where it is just Slay & Sienna walking towards the area she wants to see the constellation. Since she studied the stars, she knows right where to go. They have amazing time together. She sees that he's not a psycho or a bad person just someone who is misunderstood. After they get to the Mexican border, Slay let's her go back to her normal life and goes into Mexico do start living his life. After sometime her EX boyfriend calls and asks her to come pick him up in Mexico. Sienna does but after getting there she realizes things don't look good but she is hoping to see Slay. Little does she know he is right there, waiting to buy her as her EX bargained his life for hers. Once Slay get Sienna back in his If e he doesn't let her go.

Slay got given a life sentence without the possibility of parole for his killer crimes, after killing a guard he seized the opportunity fate gave him to escape knowing hes got nothing else to lose he takes it. Sienna thought a trip could rekindle the romance between her and Carl even when she knows there wasnt much of a fire to begin with, when they come across a guy on the side of the road in the middle of the dessert. Sienna wants to stop and help but Carl pushes the gas pedal to get them out of there only for the car to over heat. One look was all it took for Slay to know he wants to keep her, when he goes for Carl, Sienna stops him but when Carl takes the chance to run he doesnt give her a second thought leaving her alone with a psycho in the desert. There is somethings about Siennas that's not like all the others Slays been with she makes him open up and feel things like never before, but hes putting her in danger, and decides he has to let her go. But does fate have another plan for the two. This is a well written steamy insta loving hot read. Its nicely paced not to long or short a read but packed with a great story line that keeps you hooked all the way.

This is the 4th story in the Curvy for Keeps series and we get to meet Sienna who is on a trip to gaze at the stars with her boyfriend out in the desert. While driving they come across a man, Slay who looks like he would hurt them so Carl gives him the finger and then their car breaks down. Slay is a convicted killer and on psycho since age 8 due to a situation involving his sister. Slay has been given an opportunity to escape jail and takes it so when he comes across Sienna he knows he wants her. They let Carl go and spend one amazing night together under the stars. Slay knows he has to let Sienna go and it actually hurts his heart. With Slay in the Outlaw Town in Mexico and Sienna in Arizona they both miss one another. Sienna is a good person so when Carl ask for help she is taken advantage of and Slay is there to claim as his forever! Slay is in prison for murders he did but when he gets the chance to escape he takes it. Seinna is taking a trip with her boyfriend to look at the stars when they see a man standing along the road in the desert. Seinna tosses him a water because her boyfrind won't stop. However their car overheats before they get far away from the man and he makes his move on them. When her boyfriend leaves her to save himself Seinna can't believe it but she soon realizes that things aren't that bad with Slay. Slay knows that where he's going isn't a place for Seinna so he plans on leaving her behind once he makes it to the border. Will Seinna convince Slay to take her with him? What will her boyfriend do?

This is a great story that will have you on the edge of your seat. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I've enjoyed this author's over the top fantastical romances before but this one was a miss for me. I did like that Slay was a super strong hulk-like alpha anti-hero with a huge personality, but as the title suggested, he was a psychopathic murderer. The author did a lot to humanize him as Sienna noticed Slay's humanity and integrity was above and beyond her absolutely horrible ex boyfriend Carl.
Her guilt over exposing them to the dangers in the desert to do her stargazing led her into Slay's path again and again. Lots of violence, murder, and graphic scenes that were gratefully devoid of dubious consent or cheating. I did like the way Slay was OTT committed when it came to Sienna, and she definitely experienced deep Stockholm-like love when it came to her feelings for him.

Ms. Winters does it again. Each story is better than the one before. This has drama, twists and turns, chaos, madness, sweet and dark. A person who says you are a psycho is thinking with a preconceived notion. I guess you could say that I'm a psycho as I really liked this story. This story will make you smile, laugh and fall for the psycho killer. There is love, betrayal, a boyfriend who is a creep and Slay who saves Sienna and since they met and loved for one night Slay leaves Sienna but ends up saving her when Carl betrays Sienna and she's captured by bandits Slay is there to help her and claim her forever. My first read from the author and I read this book in a need of something light, fun and sexy.
This book started good. Fast pace with a promise of steamy times.
But when it come time for the steamy, I'm a little dissapointed. There's too long monologue in between steamy act. Too much of "poetry" convo while all I want is a wham bam thank-you mam action.
Points for chemistry though. Small little book but the author captured the main characters chemistry just fine. That's good.
But then... Ohlawwdylawwd! I understand this little book is aim for naughty but please still give me a smarter girl for main H!
I mean, that part where she's happily come to the border to get her ashat ex? Come on!

Pretty twisted attraction
Once I accepted the initial assumption that Slay's main character is a real killer who is literally considered as a psychopath by the authorities, I found the narrative to be good. (Whether it's his escape to meeting Sienna and then the obstacles that stand in the way of his escape.) His bond with Sienna grows, with a mystical side, while keeping the dark atmosphere of a zone of United States a little outside the law.
It's hot, dark, oddly romantic, but quite good at the same time. I just wish I had a few more chapters on life in the final location of the story (considering the peaople around them)

The story is about Sly an escaped murderer who is in prison and Sienna who is on a stargazing journey. Sly has killed several people, but only people who deserved it and who were very bad.

When he bumps into Sienna and Carl, he immediately returns that she is meant for him.
There is danger, tension, violence, not to mention the chemistry between Sly and Sienna.

I think the story is well written, it contains parts that also occur in real life and the interaction between the characters.

It's a bit dark but I definitely recommend this book.

Sometimes you just love who you love

Stranded with the Psycho is the fourth book in the Curvy for Keeps series and is a fast-paced and fascinating story. I am just going to say that this book was not for me. It has nothing to do with the writing just more to do with some of the plot. However, it is an interesting, edge of your seat read from start to finish. It is an OTT, instalove between a killer who has no morals or empathy, a psychopath, and a woman that is drawn to him in a way she cannot explain, nor can I.

I read an advanced copy of this book and am leaving a voluntary and honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Slay busts his way out of prison after killing a sadistic prison guard.
Sienna is sets out on a roadtrip to chart an anomaly in the stars with her soon to be ex boyfriend.
These two meet on a dusty road in the desert. You wouldn't think that they would click, but they do. In a big way.
As with the other books in this series, the heat level is high, and the drama is crazy.
There are also parts that had me giggling.
This book is insta love, Annabelle Winters style, with all the drama, heat, and surprises.
If you're looking for a fun, quick read, this is a book for you.

Well, this was a treat!

I absolutely love when I get a book, seemingly underestimate it, then it shatters mty estimations.

We have Slay the Psycho and Sienna the Stargazer. The first thing I loved about this book is that it was funny. Hilariously funny. I'd watch a rom-com of this type of funny.

Then it was heartfelt. Yes, they joined together under the fated stars and it was written so lovely.

Then we have the story itself. The plot was strong enough to carry itself and it had enough smut to satisfy.

I especially love that at the end, it's Sienna who saves Slay.

Loved it, will definitely be reading more from A.W.

Slay, a murderer who has just escaped prison, meets Sienna, a woman on vacation with her now ex boyfriend. While trying to get to the Mexican border, Sienna's ex is picked up by some not so friendly men and taken away for his money, leaving Sienna alone with Slay, and alone to find out about their powerful connection.
I didn't think I would enjoy this story, just because of how improbable it seemed to have a woman fall in love with a madman in the desert. But the story worked well and I found Slay to be incredibly sweet in his words with her and the connection was instant for them.

Slay break out of prison and is running toward the Mexican border to get to Outlaw Town. Driving down a dessert road is Sienna and her boyfriend, Carl. They are heading to see a star convergence that Sienna wants to see. She is a fortune teller that reads stars and star charts. The car dies along the road just a bit passed Slay. Carl was stupid and flipped him off. Sienna went thru the sunroof to throw him a water. He comes up on the dead car, breaks Carl's finger and chases him away. He wants her and she wants him, but he doesn't want to bring her into his corrupt world. Love the ending!!

From the first page "Stranded with the Psycho" sets the stage for an intense read. Told in dual POV we get the perspectives of Slay, a murderer in prison and Sienna, an astrologer on a road trip with her boyfriend. This story has great sensory descriptions and profound self-reflections. There is danger, violence, suspense and an intense chemistry between the main characters. This short story packs an emotional punch and I can't recommend it enough. Dark and delicious. 5 stars.

I liked the character of Slay and the fact that he breaks out of prison. That’s not a trope I have read yet. Sienna just happens to be passing by and ends up in the clutches of a Psycho. She’s too nice for her own good and it will come back to bite her in the ass later. I know they quickly fall in lust and that is where I take the 1 1/2 stars away. I love hot sex, but I would have preferred more build up and continuation. But over all, I did enjoy the book.

Slay may be a killer, but he has his reasons for each kill & his true fate will be revealed after he breaks out of prison. When Slay meets Sienna in the desert, he knows there is something special about her. Sienna feels as though she can see into Slay’s soul as they bond during their time together in the desert after he saves her. When Carl puts Sienna’s life in danger again, Slay will have to work fast to rescue her as they work towards their HEA.

This is a twisted, dark, and wild story. Slay is in for murder and is a psycho, he escapes. Sienna and Carl her boyfriend are on the way to the desert to stargaze. They see Slay on the side of the road and Carl flips him off, then the car breaks down. They let Carl go, but Carl comes back to take advantage of Sienna. So who really is the Psycho? The relationship is built. I loved the characters and I loved the story. It was not your typical story, I did not see a lot of this coming.

An over the top instant everything...filled with suspense, action, drama and a steamy dark romance that will have you blushing...
He is convicted and sentenced to life in prison and on the run and she was on a trip with her soon to be ex boyfriend when they met...it was instant love and lust at first sight for them but he must let her go as she deserves a better life than living and hiding in a town filled with criminals.

Sienna is on a star gazing trip with her boyfriend when they encounter the recently escaped convicted murderer Slay. Slay has killed many mean bu only those who deserved it. When he runs into Sienna and Carl he knows that she was meant to be his.

I liked the characters they were well developed and realistic. The story was well developed and very descriptive.

this was an interesting read. i bit on the fantasy side for me, but a good read none the less. slay, a murderer, physco, heartless man crosses paths with sienna, a curvy woman on a life quest with the ancient stars. trouble and chaos surround them but love and fate draw them together. when slay decides a different course for their fates, sienna finds her trust in the stars draws her back towards him. great short read.

The Psycho and the Star Gazer

I enjoyed the story because it was so raw and intense. Slay was such a beast that you couldn't help but be enthralled with him. He did some bad things but you didn't care...Sienna sure didn't. She was initially scared but Slay eventually captivated her all her senses. This was entertaining from beginning towards the end but the epilogue was kind of...meh
