Billionaires & Bodyguards #7

Fire Maidens: Venice

Rate this book
**Carnival, canals, and cunning enemies… Do you dare enter Venice’s shifter side?**

Ten years ago, lion shifter Tony Pelligrini was forced to flee Venice after being framed for a murder he didn’t commit. But now, a mysterious force is drawing him back. Is it the feeling of a ticking time bomb only he can defuse? Or is it the call of destiny, promising true love?

Wetlands ecologist Cara Alari would rather stand knee-deep in mud than dress up for a fancy ball. But in the course of one crazy, carnival night, a family she loves is imperiled, and she is unwittingly drawn into a dangerous world of power, politics, and royal intrigues.

Before Cara knows it, she’s putting her black belt to use as a bodyguard — and teaming up with a hunky lion shifter straight out of her dreams. The chemistry between them is off the charts, but there’s no time for *amore.* Somewhere in Venice, an enemy lurks, targeting the royal shifter elite. Because carnival masks can disguise faces and evil intentions, nothing is as it seems. All Cara can be sure of is that her heart — and a young woman’s life — are at risk.

USA Today and Amazon best-selling author Anna Lowe loves putting the "hero" back into heroine and letting location ignite a passionate romance. She likes a heroine who is independent, intelligent, and imperfect — a woman who's doing just fine on her own. But give the heroine a good man (not to mention a chance to overcome her own inhibitions) and she'll never turn down the chance for adventure, nor shy away from danger.

On any given weekend, you might find her hiking in the mountains or hunched over her laptop, working on her latest story. Either way, the day will end with a chunk of dark chocolate and a good read.

This talented author has written an outstanding, adventurous paranormal romance, it is the 7th book in the “Fire Maiden” series but it is complete & standalone. The storyline flows smoothly throughout a well-written mesmerizing plot that is filled with suspense & has good world building with excellent scene descriptions. The characters are well-developed & it was interesting to see how they continued to develop into a strong-willed loving couple while supporting each other.
It is about: after being falsely accused & forced to flee, a male lion shifter (Tony Pelligrini) finds himself, drawn back to Venice. He comes into contact with a feisty female lion shifter (Cara Alari) but the danger increases as these two individuals draw closer to each other.
There is: various kinds of shifters, shifter politics, fated mates, guardians, fire maidens, adventure, action, destiny, some humour, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, drama, deceit, betrayal, fantasies, secrets, mystery, devious plans, villainous villains, danger, threats, violence, confrontations, attacks, confusion, attractions, memories, discovery, complications, manipulations, surprises, allies, compromises, love, happiness, some steamy scenes & a well-deserved HEA with a delightful epilogue. I enjoyed reading this book and would definitely recommend it.

I loved finally getting to know Tony's story and having a glimpse of Venice as well. Tony is drawn back home from the urging within. He planned on staying a mystery hiding behind the mask as no on would recognize him upon the streets during carnivale.

Tony is a lion shifter a former soldier who still carries that stiff show no feeling or any type of clue to what he is feeling. He arrives at the ball and recognizes many people from his past, he walks from room to room searching for what causes that foreboding within.

Cara loves cleaning up the ecosystem of the swamps to bring back its former glory of sparkling clear water. She rents a room from Grazie a Guardian who wats her to go to the masked ball even providing the outfit. There she runs into her former client if you will as she used to be the nanny.

The two met at this masked ball when someone tries to kidnap Fiorinna. I can't say enough positive words for this story and how it transported me to a favorite world once again. I applaud Ms. Lowe's creativity and encourage you to read this and form your own opinion.

I voluntarily chose to read this complimentary copy and have not in any way been compensated for this honest opinion.

Another splendidly vivid addition to an already amazing series. Ms Lowe never fails to entertain and keep us at the edge of our seats with her exceptional storytelling.

Tony and Cara's story is one of instant attraction yet weariness at destiny's plans with them. They are both strong and independent characters that the reader can easily root for. Matched with a captivating storyline and beautiful descriptions of Venice, the story truly comes alive in your mind.

Highly recommended for all PNR lovers.

Book 7 of Fire Maiden Venice by Anna Lowe
Audiobook narrated by Kelsey Osborne
Tony is a solider that is falsely accused of murder and has been on the run and as a young man joined the foreign legion where he meet the other characters in the previous fire maiden series.
He comes home one more time and attends a party where he rescues a woman but this gets him arrested.
Cara is in Venice because she’s a wetland ecologist and attends the same party as Tony but it spiced up in a way she was not expecting.
Both main characters are shifters and find out there mates and thing become very complicated quickly.
As always this fits in perfectly to the other book in series but there a fantastic surprise that I won’t spoil but is a great twist.
Absolutely love this series and finding out each ex foreign legion members getting their happy ever after but also having one or two of the original characters in the book to support the main characters.
Kelsey Osborne as always does a fantastic job, I love that she doesn’t try and do a fake Venetian accent or other accents in previous books but keeps her own and changes tone to the characters but pronounces odd word in the language the character has perfectly.
The dream would be to do duel narration and have a guy do the male narration but as I said Kelsey Osborne does an amazing job.

Book 7 and this series is still going strong. New characters (love some, dislike others but all well-written) and a plot that keeps you turning the pages. Ms. Lowe always gives us something new and fresh. There is a variety of shifters in the story, romance w/some heat, suspense and some laughs. A truly enjoyable escape.

This time it's the turn of the Lions to be the centre of attention. Cara and Tony's story is one I really enjoyed, not that I don't always enjoy Anna Lowe's work but this one was different - why you might ask? Well, it's different because Tony was forced to flee his home in Venice when he was accused and found guilty, without a trial I might add, of murder. But after ten years away his instincts have compelled him to return to Venice despite knowing that if he is recognised it could mean his death.

Whilst attending a masked event he meets Cara Alari, a beautiful ecologist who is passionate about saving Venice from further decay and destruction. But before they can act on the attraction they both feel, there's an attempt to kidnap someone close to Cara. Tony knows that he can't stand by and do nothing to stop the kidnapping but if he gets involved his identity is sure to be revealed which could mean he's sentenced to death or worse. But his honour means he must help and so both he and Cara fight together, oh I forgot to mention Cara is no dainty flower, she's tall, well built and strong. She's also good at self-defence, and together they foil the plot but as he knew he would be, Tony's recognised, arrested and taken before the Guardians.

Fortunately, Tony is recognised by someone who was there ten years ago, someone who can clear his name and restore his family's honour. After which he and Cara are asked to guard Fiorina the new Fire Maiden of Venice who turns out to be the girl they just saved from being kidnapped, she's also the daughter of the man he was accused of killing ten years ago and the girl he carried to the safety of her mother's waiting arms.

Tony and Cara are appointed as bodyguards to Fiorina but in order to keep her safe they will have to find out who ordered her father's murder and her kidnapping, are they dealing with one person or two? Are those events connected? Why is the new Firemaiden so unlike all the other Fire Maidens?

What follows is an exciting story full of drama, intrigue, chemistry and love, this is a wonderful addition to this series as destiny works it's magic again. But this time there's an even bigger surprise in store for us, but that's enough from me, no more spoilers you will just have to download this wonderful tale and find out the answers first hand.

The book Is wonderfully narrated by the super talented Kelsey Osborne who does an incredible job of bringing all of the characters to life.

Tony Pelligrini Lion shifter is back in Venice after 10 years away in the Foreign Legion among other battles with the Lombardi's and those of their elk trying to find a Fire Maiden they can claim as their own. He is still a wanted man, he could not resist coming back for a short time his cousin Rocco drags him to the Yearly Carnival Masquerade Ball but for some reason, he didn't feel comfortable like he would be exposed any moment since he is a wanted man, but Rocco assures him nobody will know. Ecologist Cara Alari is also a lion shifter and loving her job on the lagoon and the wetlands around Venice it is tiring work she wouldn't be happy unless she was doing all she could to make sure that Vince is improved and be rid of the antiquated systems they are running on now. Her landlady invited her to the Carnival this evening and provided her with a dress. Cara was just walking around when she and a handsome man ran into each other he didn't get her name before she slipped away, but they both were intrigued with the other and could not stop thinking about the other and they go looking for each other it seems in the opposite direction whether they want to or not they are drawn to each other. Tony saw a young woman in the music room and he just knew something was about to happen he just stood behind a screen and watched as the young lady and her bodyguards were not as aware of their surroundings as they should have been and they the young woman was being watched by some other shifters when she sees Cara walk by in the hallway, and they came back to the room together. Tony knows her name now, from then on things start moving fast and she realized that it was the young woman Fiorina who was about to be in trouble also Cara realized something was about to happen because Fiorina's bodyguards were being distracted. Things go haywire once someone outside the door in the hall screams FIRE.
A great storyline and characters are all quite entertaining. Drama, romance, love, suspense, and action. I was given an ARC via BookFunnel without obligation. I volunteered an honest review.

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book tells us the story of Tony and Cara. Tony is only supposed to be doing a quick in and out visit on account of him being on the run from the Guardians of Venice for 10 long years for a murder he didn't commit. Cara, whilst not being new to Venice, has returned there to work as a Marine Ecologist. As an American with Italian great grandparents, she feels surprisingly at home in the city state and has been reunited with Fiorina, a 19 year old girl who she once looked after when she worked for a year as an au pair.

Fiorina is a fledgling Fire Maiden whose life is probably in danger after the night her father, a Guardian, was murdered. The Guardians have decided she needs to be introduced to Venetian society and whilst at the Ball of the season, an attempt is made to kidnap her. Unfortunately for the would be kidnappers, Cara and Tony are also at the ball and manage to stop them in their tracks. The downside for Tony is that he is caught and taken before the Guardians.

During that meeting, not everything goes to plan and Cara and Tony find themselves appointed as bodyguards to Fiorina. Knowing that the two of them can't do the job alone, Tony calls in his cousin Rocco and Tony's comrade in arms Theo. And that's when things get interesting!

As always happens when Fire Maidens and bodyguards are involved, things do not go according to plan and a trip to one of the outlying islands is necessary where Tony is able to meet up with the grandfather he adores. A grandfather who also knew Cara's great grandparents who left Venice just before WW2.

As you read the book, you will see Fiorina blossom in confidence when dealing with the Guardians, the real killer of her father is revealed, Tony meets up with an arch enemy from his past and Cara learns more about her great grandparents. There is mystery and intrigue throughout the book but as with all of the books in this series, there is a happy ending for more than one couple.

In this book we get Tony, who you may remember from Scotland, returning home to Venice (so that's where he's from!). He is wanted for a murder that he didn't commit and ten long years after leaving the beautiful city, he has donned a disguise and snuck into a Carnival ball. For some reason, he felt called to be here in this exact place on this exact night. When he runs into a woman whose eyes immediately captivate him, his lion tells him she is another lion shifter and it is all he can do not to follow her around like a puppy. While his lion encourages him to find her again and talk to her, he knows that she is not the danger that called him here.

Cara is much more comfortable when she is wearing rubber boots and working in the lagoons to improve Venice's ecosystem. While her gown is beautiful and the party is full of glittering rich people, she is not interested, at least not until she runs into the man wearing the full face carnival mask. But he obviously wishes to keep his identity a secret and she has no time for secrets. When she spies a woman whose family she once worked for as an au pair, she is delighted. Fiorina is a lovely girl, sweet and kind, but a little naive. When a group of men tries to kidnap her, Fiorina is not going to get away from them without help. Cara has a little self-defense training, but she is way outnumbered. Fortunately for her, the mysterious man she met earlier is willing to help.

So begins a story of danger, intrigue, treachery, and love. Tony and Cara will learn about about themselves and each other as they work to keep Fiorina safe and to discover who is behind her attempted abduction. Ah, amore. Enjoy.

I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Tony was visiting friends and comrades in Scotland for awhile, but home was calling to him.

Tony looked around, still soaking it all in. Venice, where he’d been born and bred. The only place he’d ever called home, and the only place he ever would. But as a man framed for a murder he didn’t commit, he couldn’t risk setting foot there ever again. His cousin, Rocco brought him here to visit for the night. They must be careful, man in disguise. Carnival was perfect.
Cara was working in Venice. Environmental work on the wetlands. She wanted to go to the carnival this time. Her friends insisted upon it. So, once there she accidentally bumped into this tall dark sexy man. Her inner lioness was so intrigued by him. She also spotted her long ago friend, Fiorina. She was there, why there? Cara had taken care of Fiorina and her brother 10 years ago. Cara was torn between finding out who the mysterious man was and why her friend was at carnival...with bodyguards! People was circling around Fiorina, no no no thought Cara. Not in my watch, she took notice how her mystery man seemed on there side. Ok, but why try to hurt her friend. A fight was impending, someone yelled "fire" making people scatter. She sniffed the air, he was also a lion shifter! Her foes were a mixed bag of shifters. She had to defend and protect her friend...anyway she could. Fiorina was nice but a bit ditzy. Okay, let's get this over with. Find out who this mystery man is, who is going to help strangers in danger. What a mysterious night this turned out to be, or was it destiny playing around again?

Series: Billionaires & Bodyguards #7
Rating: 4 stars - It was really good

Ten years ago, lion shifter Tony Pelligrini was forced to flee Venice after being framed for murder. Now he is back and knee deep in another plot, but this time with the beautiful ecologist Cara Alari.

I really enjoyed Tony and Cara’s book. Cara was a smart woman who wasn’t afraid to defend herself or her friends. She will make a great Fire Maiden because she isn’t afraid to stand up to the old Guardians or do what is right for Venice, even if it isn’t visible right away. I liked that we see her actually using her degree to implement change in Venice.

Tony was a protective alpha male who had a lot of honor. He knows returning is a bad idea but he still does it because his instinct is telling him he needs to be there. Because of his honor, he is able to save another person and find the true criminals behind the killing 10 years ago. I liked that Tony finally can clear his name and return to his family and home. I have liked him since he was introduced and I was so glad to see him finally have a happy ending.

Overall, this was a great addition to this series. I really enjoyed both of the characters and their adventures to find the bad guys. I can’t wait to read Theo’s book because I know that playboy is going to fall hard for his mate.

Venice anyone?

Tony and Cara's story was already written in history. They just didn't know it yet. Tony left his beautiful home country of Venice ten gears early ago because he was charge with a murder he didnt commit. He trusted the wrong Guardian and now he was back and accused again of the same crime and not that but accused of attempting to abduct the girl of the person he was accused of killing so many years ago. If the foreign legions or destiny haven't taught him anything it was that running gets you no where. You need to face your fate. Cara was once the Au par to Fioriona when's she was younger and now tonight she is her protector again. Of course with the help of a stranger. What a mighty good stranger that is. After he was arrested and accused of murder and charged with attempted kidnapping she could not stay silent she had to defend him. It was something about this man. Fioriona realized he was the man who saved her all those years ago and now saved her again this night. Tony 's life have came full circle or has it? You have bad guys at every angles, people you can't trust , boat chases on the canals, people celebrating carnival in Venice, and a For Maiden to protect what good go wrong. Oh let's throw in your mate. I read this book in one day. I honesty could not put it down. It was do enthralling. I'm and pins and needles waiting for the next one.

FIERY-PASSIONATE ROMANCE - DANGER & ACTION

“Fire Maidens: Venice” The author brings this shifter story to life with an abundance of suspense, action, picturesque, vivid scene descriptions, excellent character interaction, life-threatening issues, family drama, fiery, passionate romance and a wonderful happy forever. A page-turner read that seizes your attention and had me craving to learn what happens next.

After being framed for a murder he did not commit, Tony Pelligrini with luck on his side escaped his fate of death ten years ago. Knowing it may cost his life, he ventures back to Venice on the gut feeling he belongs there. Cara Alari is independent, a beauty, strong and enjoys being a Wetlands ecologist. Destiny brings Tony and Cara together for a purpose neither thought they would ever face. Their journey to a happily ever after is a thunderstorm of obstacles.

Unforgettable read with admirable characters and a fabulous storyline.  The author does a great job showing the beauty of Venice amongst the dangers that the characters encounter. Tony and Cara’s love is genuine and glows in this read. Their loyalty to their mission makes them fantastic, inspiring characters. Back stories give the reader more insight into the character’s persona. Relishing this read, I voluntarily reviewed a pre-release copy.

Once again, and in true Anna Lowe fashion, I am blown away by her ability to take a thought and turn it into a tale that you won’t be able to put down. I don’t think I could ever tire of stories that come from this wonderful author, each one unique, yet intertwined in one way or another. Her characters are always vibrant, strong and so full of life, and the tales they have to tell are well paced and full of intrigue, suspense and of course, lots of love.
In this book, we have the distinct pleasure of meeting Cara. We also re-connect with Tony, a lion shifter with secrets to tell and vengeance to extract. But sparks fly when these two meet. When they are thrown together in an effort to protect a young protégé, one who is supposed to be the next Fire Maiden of Venice, pasts become present, and deja-vu moments are brought to light. Will they win against the evil forces that hover in the corners? Or will they prove to be the downfall of the city?
If you haven’t yet read any of the Fire Maiden episodes, you don’t know what you’re missing. As with all of these books, this one can be read as a stand-alone, but you would miss out on the past connections. I was gifted a copy of this book and am voluntarily giving my honest opinion.

Is fighting again destiny a futile effort?

I must admit I absolutely love this series. I like how Anna pulls in the next hero into her story giving us a slight preview into what may be coming.

Cara Alari has always loved Venice, and as a Wetlands Ecologist she is trying to keep- the city from sinking beneath the waves. Her landlord convinces her to attend a ball during the famous Carnival within the city. When she got home from the wetlands all she wanted to do is just curl up and relax, but she get ready for this ball.

Tony Pelligrini is an ex-soldier from the French Foreign Legion, after running from false murder charges. He has felt pulled to the city, is it time for him to give in or can he clear his name.

The pair meet at the Carnival Ball, and manage to save someone who is important to the guardians. They get roped into playing bodyguard together, but can they solve the mystery before time is up, while keeping their charge safe?

I definitely recommend reading this book if not the full series. It makes me wish I could travel to the places that Anna Lowe has described. If you like shifters, fated mates, and suspense this book with tickle your fancy.

Cara and Tony are two protectors who join forces to keep Venice from danger. They have quite a challenging journey as there are many secrets the beautiful city and its inhabitants hide.

Tony has been kept from his home due to lies. He is back and is immediately thrust into the danger. Cara has a simple plan to work to protect the environment but it all changes when she is asked to protect someone she cares about.

Tony and Cara have great chemistry from the beginning and really make a wonderful couple. They are very much alike in their strength of character and desire to protect others from harm.

I really enjoyed the supporting characters who add some fun to the story as well. The ending gives you a really nice happily ever after and the epilogue ties it all together so there are no unanswered questions. There is another book to enjoy soon.

I have read all the books in the series and highly recommend them. It is a fun series for those who enjoy paranormal romances featuring a lot of action as well as romance. Each story takes place in another city and the location is a big part of the story.

I am voluntarily reviewing the copy I received.

A strong attraction prompted Tony Pelligrini to return to Italy, still at the risk of his life. His ingrained sense of honor made Tony unable to resist doing the right thing and he, again, found himself in a dangerous situation that exposed him. As a child, Cara Alari had deep longings. Thoughts and illusions that still as an adult were present in her mind and when she met Tony, and not in the best of circumstances, Destiny put her on the way to approach her dream and find hers Forever. Together, they found themselves unraveling the web of intrigue that threatened the future of the Fire Maiden and exposing the culprits. I liked the character of Cara, a strong and smart woman with many abilities and ideas to improve her city. Interesting secondary characters, some funny others peculiar, that I found entertaining, there were emotional narratives with strong emotions that got misty eyed on me, action, suspense, betrayal, violence, romance and passion. Voluntarily reviewed this copy which I enjoyed.

💢 Wowzer! Seven Magnificent books, all different this what I love. Reading a series and each book leaves you on the edge.
🔹️Cara Alari is a Wetlands Ecologist and a Lioness Shifter. She was also a champion to Fiorina years ago. Running into Fiorina at the Ball proves that Cara still remembers how to use her skills.
🔹️ Tony Pelligrini is a Warrior, Lion Shifter, and a Wanted Killer. Just one more time he want to visit his beautiful Venice. Then he would leave, Rocco asked him to go to the Ball wearing a mask, no one would know. Things always seem to happen and he wouldn’t stand by and let that go. Let alone he looked at this beautiful women and he was done for. ️
This review is my own opinion, this author is one that I love to read her books.

Tony is a wanted man, but he's returned to his home in Venice to protect the city and if he's lucky, not get arrested. An attempted kidnapping puts him in the sights of the cities Guardians and a beautiful woman. Cara has returned to the city where her Great-Grandparents had once lived to help protect it from the erosion of nature and in turn rescue the city from going under.
Cara and Tony both realize destiny has a big adventure for them that will change their lives forever.
Every new Fire Maiden book makes me swoon for the romance and the unique locations that provide the background for destiny's handiwork. The beauty of Venice and the surrounding Laguna, as well as local folklore is as much of the story as the fearless hero, brave heroine and all the characters that help destiny.
I really enjoyed this book and had a hard time putting it down, once I started.

I Love this European Shifter series!!

Ah, Venice! We have lion-shifter Tony, who was forced to leave Venice ten years ago when falsely accused of murder. Also, lion-shifter Cara working as a wetland’s ecologist and earlier an au pair to Fiorina for a year.

History repeats itself when a threat is made to Fiorina who was a young child when her family was attacked ten years ago. Tony facilitated the escape of Fiorina who is now considered an “almost Fire Maiden”. His role is revealed and suddenly Tony is no longer an “escaped murderer” but the threats remain.

A delightful story of destiny, magic, family and romance. You feel like you are the one in this special city, and working with the characters to ensure the bad guys are captured, and good guys are safe.

Tony and Cara are great characters both with strong personalities. The chemistry between the two is very strong but they both know there is a job that needs to take priority. They are doing everything in their power to keep the Fire Maiden Fiorina safe. They do not want to get involved in shifter politics because you never know who you can trust. Tony and Cara decide to fight their attraction and concentrate on finding the traitor who wants them killed.

What a great couple and they worked well together to keep their friends safe. The suspense and mystery added to the plot of this story, making this a great page turner. The ending will be a great surprise and one you will really enjoy. This has been a great series and Venice is a fabulous addition.
I received a copy of this book as a gift from the author and this is my honest review.

Loving this series!! Lion shifter Cara is one of my favorite heroines from this series! She kicks butt! I’m not a fan of damsels, and Cara is definitely not one. Plus, I love that she wants to save ecosystems. Lion shifter Tony is awesome too! He’s so honorable. Sweet and passionate connection between them. Tony has been falsely accused of a crime in Venice, so he’s been incognito for about 10 years and hasn’t returned to Venice. Despite the danger of returning, there’s something calling to Tony in Venice; he doesn’t know what it is, but he just knows that’s where he needs to be. Some very shady things are happening in Venice, but luckily, Tony and Cara end up on the same path. Cara and Tony end up being bodyguards for a damsel type of girl that is in danger. Love the Venice setting, love the action! Entertaining, fun read! Excited for the next book!!

Cara Alari is wetlands ecologist, and lion shifter working in Venice, she would rather be up to her knees, and elbows in mud than attending a fancy ball during Carnival. Toni Pelligrini left Venice ten years ago after being falsely accused of murder. Unfortunately, his past will come back to haunt him when he steps in to help Cara protect a young woman who is the victim of an attempted kidnapping. Cara and Toni find themselves as body guards to the young woman and working together to unravel a plot by the last person anyone would have suspected.
Compelling, fascinating, and well written characters that find out how difficult it is to work with the person they are falling in love with. Exciting action, suspense, and unexpected twist in the plot. Intrigue, and betrayal kept me reading from the first page to the last.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

That was absolutely amazing, unlike the other books in the series before this one. Book 7 has quite a different approach, Cara is not like the previous fire Maidens. As you will find out when you read or listen to this book, and Tony is just as lovable as he was in the last book with a little extra stubbornness. The storyline is captivating, it's really starting to unravel some of the problems in the first 6 books. Everything seems to be intertwined, revolving around certain factions. I can't say more than that without spoiling anything, but omg I love this series so much. The characters in every book are simply fantastic, even the side characters are interesting and leave you wanting to know more about them. I have a theory of how this series will go, and I'm dying to see if I'm right or not.

A wonderful story, thrilling read and wonderful characters
I have to say that it seems as though it has been a long time since I read the last book in this series and yet I know that this is not the case. The characters were absolutely wonderful and the actual story between Tony and Cara was simply wonderful.
There are plenty of surprises and there were plenty of surprises in the story that I do not want to give away as I want future readers to have as enjoyable a read as I had. There also was a wonderfully enjoyable conclusion to the story and I know that you will be as entranced as I was.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Another captivating and descriptive read in this series.
I could envisage myself back in Venice and seeing all the wonderful sights Ms Lowe took us too.
Great characters and a wonderfully emotional plot, full of manipulation, false accusation, heroism and with family dynamics that I loved.
A capable, take no crap, kick ass heroine who is a real sweetheart and then destiny fulfils itself and she becomes something special.
Loved Tony all the way through. Though wronged many years ago he remained calm and purposeful, until claws were needed. Loved his lion chipping in.
We get a minor emotional hiccup with these two which is quickly sorted.
And the interaction between Fiorina and Rocco throughout is so cute.
Cannot wait to read about Theo, what an enigmatic character.
This is my honest review of this book which I read through Kindle Unlimited.
