Hi, so excited about being on Goodreads and sharing my Middle School books with you! I live in beautiful Noosa, in Australia. For most of my life I was a teacher of Middle School kids, and what an awesome experience that was. It gave me the opportunity to understand the problems that kids go through. My writing partners are Kaz and Bill Campbell, they were also Middle School Teachers. We hope you enjoy our books as much as we love writing them for you!!!
I choose that rating because it's and awesome book Well I thought it was awesome it doesn't matter what other people think I like it and if you like it that's all that matters
Everything's going perfectly fine with Julia Jones at school, with her bestfriend Millie by her side and the dance class she was actively in. Plus, there was Blake Jansen who made her blush everytime she saw him. Being dance buddies couldn't be more perfect, wasn't it?
That was until newcomer Sara moved to their school and seemed to attract everybody's attention. She was rich, she's great in hip-hop dance, she joined their dance musical, she even became the school hero. Julia wasn't jealous at her because she was fairly confident with herself. Until Sara seemed to take over her responsibilities, and she had set her eyes on Blake, and Julia grew more anxious and paranoid and envious as days dragged. Suddenly, Sara didn't seem like the friend she appeared to be.
I don't have a daughter, but after reading this book, I sure wish I had one so I can better take care of her and her needs, do some girly things together like dressing up. Julia Jones make me want to pat her, cuddle her, embrace her and comfort her. Julia Jones sure had her worst day ever, and I couldn't help but give her a hanky and my shoulders to cry on,
My Worst Day Ever is a very entertaining book, I could hardly put it down. I started reading it at 2pm and finished it within two hours. That's how captivated I was with Julia's own version of unfortunate events. Sure, this is for middle aged kids, specifically for 7th graders, but it sure teaches us lessons about bullying, self-esteem and camaraderie. Julia got every reasons to be paranoid at Sara's unbecoming behavior, taunts, smirks and sarcastic remarks. I was surprised to find Julia keeping it together until the musical day. While many may think she's lost it, I think she actually represents real life situations.Katrina Kahler truly understood how was it with teens and how to deal with them. I recommended this book to young curious teens!
I loved it. The story line was awesome and well thought out. I especially enjoyed the pictures in it. They were animated to perfection without adding to much. This book had No bad/swear/gods name in vain whatsoever and was beautifully done. I would strongly recommend to any school story loving girl. I think that it would be good for any age but i think that 8-11 would enjoy it the most.
I think that this book was really inspiring to many young girls my age especially in middle school. In middle school we deal with lots of bullying and teasing it doesn't even matter how rich you are they could be talking about your shoes your hair your clothes or even your knowledge. When your in middle school you have to watch who your friends are because they will talk about you behind your back
Because it reminds me of girls at school like Mariah, Jasmine, treyanna, Dresden, chineye, torey, Shamara and the rest of the fake girls at my school
I'm always on the lookout for books to share w/ my Goddaughter. This would be great choice as it teaches children, not everyone they encounter will always have their best interest at heart. I think the book is geared towards the appropriate age range and will be relatable to kids on many levels. This would also be fun to read w/ your child and talk about how they might deal w/ similar situations at school =)
Katrina kahler did a very Good Job i wonder what's gonna happen in the next book I can't wait to see about her and Blake and if Sara is her real friend
Fab! An easy and enjoyable read, suitable for the age range of 8-13 however if an 8 year old is wanting the book, I would say that they would need to be a confident reader;)

Ma’am, I have a concern about your book. After reading this book, it gave me SERIOUS diarrhea. I really don’t think that is was very interesting and it also had a very bland storyline. My diarrhea got so serious, I died. My doctors said that the will give me a get-out-of-jail free pass and let me live on earth instead of hell because I’m a very bad person. The let me have this pass because they know and they have read this book. Thankfully, they did not get deadly diarrhea, so they were able to save me from this evil book of death and destruction. Also, when I bought it for my kindle, it broke. I do not like this book.
Graphic Novel- As I was looking through graphic novels to choose I came across this one. It was saying that it is a good read for girls 9-12 years of age and after reading it, I agree. I liked this novel because it was something you could relate to, especially if you were a girl from the ages of 9-12. The story line was realistic and I enjoyed reading it as a twenty year old and I know I would have enjoyed reading this novel when I was younger. It is easy to read, yet challenges a 9-12 year old's reading as well.
This was the best book ever!!! It was relatable and was just like a real life situation. The problems were so realistic and it was very interesting. I would recommend this to any girl who needs a little uplift or feels that they have had the baddest of luck .
It is an amazing story ! I loved following Julia on her Worst Day Ever! It’s pretty good, but I will say that it is really dramatic considering that she is 12. Blake and Julia turn out to be so cute together ! I would definitely recommend to read the whole series.

Not a great book, although I liked the pool scene and the way I discovered Sara's fear, but most of the book focuses on one event: the school dance production. I felt different events as well would have been better, as well as more character description/quirks, as I felt like I didn't know the characters. I liked the diary layout and illustrations though, and it is because of these plus points I give it the stars I do. It is not the best series from this author, I much preferred the A Diary of a Horse-Mad Girl series. I read this as I am preparing to write a novel for the same agegroup.
I enjoyed reading this book targeted for girls aged 9-12. It was well written, engaging and incorporated humor nicely. It was a nice change of pace for me. The ending was a bit too abrupt for me, but otherwise a fun book. Rated 4 stars
I chose this book as a 5-star rate because it really shows that kids may act nice but sometimes are really mean and you need to choose your real friends and it can be tough to get through this bullying I had to deal with it my whole life
I loved this book!! It was amazing and I could not put it down. I read this book in almost 15 minutes!! I'm not lying. I was compelled to turn page after page. This book is definitely worth reading!!!! :) FIVE STARS for sure!! *****
This book has great real life situations for kids and I felt like even I could relate to them. It's a bit childish for me now but i know it would be the book of my life if I was young again.
