Revenge is best served cold, but Weston is smoking hot!
Bullies never get what’s coming to them.
Instead they lead charmed lives while their victims continue to spiral into an anxious ball of junk food and wine fueled self-care.
No just me?
Probably because I had to move back to my small home town with only broke and reeking of failure.
The only consolation of working for free at my Gran’s failing restaurant? Weston freaking Svensson, with whom I’d had a reputation ruining encounter with in high school, wasn’t in town.
That is until he walks into the restaurant, arm in arm with the high school mean girl, and destroys my safe space.
No, I didn’t put poison in their food—I am a jam maker and food is sacred.
But I did plot the most epic plan of revenge. I needed to get one over on the biggest baddest high school bully and prove that I wasn’t the awkward pushover anymore, just like Weston wasn’t the obnoxious teenager anymore. Now he was a powerful billionaire.
Though he’s taller, sexier, bigger, I need to stay on my guard. I know men like Weston don’t really change.
Or did he?
Sex is part of the plan to ruin his life like he ruined mine.
But what if I’m the one who gets caught in the trap?

This is a another entertaining entry in this enjoyable series. I thought that the characters were quirky and fun. I really liked Zoe, even if I didn't always like the choices she made. As for Weston, I kind of had a like/hate thing going on with him but honestly, I chalk that mostly to my own preferences and attitudes and not up to the character or the writing. Still I felt that the book was a very fun read. I am posting an independent, impartial review.

I had much the same reaction to this book as I had to Bridezillas And Billionaires, and for several of the same reasons. Author’s usual over-the-top-and-then-some style? Check. Humor that left me doubled over with laughter and panting for breath? Dear heavens, yes! Hero who’s an industry mogul living down to the very worst stereotypes of the spoiled rich? You betcha! Heroine with a sociopathic family and no backbone of her own? Unfortunately, also yes. I had a lot of fun with this story. I enjoyed seeing more of the Svenssons and the rest of the quirky residents of Harrogate. The slapstick comedy that fills this story left my sides aching from laughing so hard. I loved seeing Weston “grow up” and start behaving like a responsible adult. I just would have liked to see Zoe achieve more resolution with her family for the horrible way they treated her. I know that this author will always give me a book filled with shenanigans and snark, and those are my reasons for loving her books.

He wants her jam jar but she wants her revenge

In Her Jam Jar is the sixth book in The Svensson Brothers series is another charming and funny story in the series. This is the story of Weston Svensson as he falls in love with Zoe. They may have gone to high school together, and also gotten very hot and steamy in the Home Ec room but things did not quite end so well. It was not like the bad boy really stuck around to find out what happened any way to Zoe as he took off while she dropped out of school. Now their paths cross again back in their hometown of of Harrogate. Things could not possibly get worse for our intrepid heroine but they somehow do, even when they are funny and you are laughing out loud. She is working at her Gran's restaurant, Girl Meets Fig, trying to rescue it and also making homemade jams, jellies and sauces. Weston is now a successful CEO of ThinkX who has just moved the business to Harrogate. He literally comes waltzing back into Zoe's life, and the restaurant, without realizing what his actions set off all those years ago. But the kicker is that he also brings back the girl that bullied Zoe and really set into motion everything back in high school. So let's just say that Zoe and her two besties start making plans for some well deserved revenge. He better stay out of her jam jar or he will be stung by her bee.
As as aside I just have to say that I laughed even as I cried with this book. The story-line was really poignant and also just crazy, as are the various inhabitants of Harrogate.

I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Zoe seems to have the worst of luck. Back in high school, she had her dreams of becoming a famous chef. But when Weston Svensson ruined the home economics cake project they were assigned, they had to stay after school and bake a new one. While it was cooking, Weston recorded his sexy intimate encounter with her in all of its moaning glory. Then he shared it with his friends. She was humiliated and mocked, her reputation trashed.

Now, after failing as a chef in New York, she has to return to her hometown of Harrogate to take over managing of her grandmother's failing restaurant while living in her grandmother’s laundry room. Her jams, jellies and sauces were selling well, however, so not everything in her life was a failure. And the best news of all, Weston was no longer in town!

But to her dismal surprise, Weston Svensson, billionaire CEO of ThinkX, has just moved his business to Harrogate to enjoy the small town environment. And he and Sharla have the nerve to come into Zoe’s grandmother’s restaurant! With the help of her two best friends, Zoe is determined to get her long-awaited revenge on the man who destroyed her life. Will her plan work? Or is something else in store for Zoe and Weston?

Disappointing, annoying story

I really wanted to like the book but o my goodness, this was the most annoying story and characters. Zoe was just so weak and Weston so shallow.

Billionaire, revenge, 2nd chance, small town w/off the wall characters, slapstick comedy and hot amazing spice!
This is a series of brothers from a LARGE family where each book a brother will get their HEA.

I love this type of book. No angst, comedy, hot billionaires with hot spice thrown in. Nice and light. Is it for everyone? No. But it is my cup of hot chocolate. I don't want to be sad or anxious with the books I read.

I listened to the audiobook of this, and loved it! I think that hearing the voices gives you so much more as a reader. You really can feel the emotions. You connect much quicker to the characters as well. These narrators were top notch.

This is not the first book in the series, but it can be read as a complete stand-alone. However I think you will get more out of it if you have read the other books as you have met some of the characters before. But don’t let that deter you. This can be a stand-alone. But it will make you want to read all the other books!

I know these books are supposed to be Extra, and the depiction of the heroine's family are caricatures (much as Sharla is like the other jealous women in previous book). But the incident in high school wasn't just humiliating and traumatizing—sharing that kind of content without consent is a form of assault. And the fact that Sharla still had it (a sex tape of an underage girl) on her phone as an adult is kiddie porn and she should have been arrested on federal charges.

This was over-the-top, sexy, funny, and perfect for a light-hearted read to get out of life and escape for a while. The Svensson family is back and this time Weston has to make up for what he did to Zoe back in high school. Meeting again and with her other bully sets up a whole scenario of shenanigans and Zoe seeking revenge. It's funny and entertaining.

The drama of the story starts right from the beginning. I felt terrible for Zoe, she was so humiliated and what happened was so hurtful. Unfortunately Zoe has not moved on, she has thought numerous times about getting revenge and then she just became resigned with how her life is. I will say these last few books that I’ve read in the series I can’t get over how horrible the heroine‘s family treats her and there’s always a grandmother who supposedly loves the heroine but always stands back and makes excuses and allows things to happen. Weston was terrible in high school, definitely did not like him then and now all grown up I still feel he’s super arrogant, he doesn’t even remember who Zoe is. Eventually he starts to act better and shows his sweet side and his caring side and so right along with the heroine I start hoping they do get together. I love how Zoe is with Weston‘s brothers and how quickly they come to like her. As always we got to read more about all of the other past characters that we love and made me excited to finally get my hands on Meg and Hunters book as soon as it is out. Westin and Zoe‘s relationship grows at first, Zoe‘s mind is all on one thing but eventually she thaws out and it turns into something completely different, but then everything just falls apart. There are misunderstandings, words are said, feelings are hurt. In the end a big gesture finally made things right.

I was really lost at the beginning of this book when I felt like I entered an alternate reality in the opening scene of this book. The thought ‘that seems unlikely’ came across my mind several times as a I listened to this. I bought it as audiobook for an extra long drive for a work trip.

$ = I was committed to listening till the end.

At some point it made good background content. Think a podcaster telling a bedtime story. I didn’t actually have to listen closely to this. I have ADD with APD so listening to an audiobook can be somewhat challenging. Not ‘having’ to listen, I was free to do other things that required mid focus. I’m bumping this to a 3 star from a 2, only for that reason.

Why so low? Elements throughout didn’t feel plausible to me. And maybe to some that equals a comfort read. I couldn’t get hooked though and if it wasn’t for it being a paid for audiobook, I would have dnf early.

Ignore grammar & spelling in this review please. I rarely make reviews because … who do I think I am? I judge another’s story while I’m not perfect at using words as vehicles to communicate either. Reviews can be helpful though, right? I read reviews. I didn’t find a review like mine for this book so I felt extra compelled to spend time on this

After reading Blade’s book, I was looking forward to reading Weston’s. I enjoy watching how the he’s-a-playboy-until-he-meets-the-heroine trope unfolds and I couldn’t wait for that to happen to Weston. Although, I’ll be honest, there’s was a good chunk of this book where I didn’t like Weston. He just felt really shallow and he wasn’t cold and mean, but he would say clueless things that just made me shake my head and roll my eyes. I definitely warmed up to him the more I read and I really came to love him and his crazy antics even if they did still make me shake my head and roll my eyes, I just had a smile on my face as I did it.

In Her Jam Jar was a little rocky for me at times because I wasn’t sold on why Zoe should be with Weston, but I’ve truly come to love them as a couple. They bring out such good things in each other and make one another better. In Her Jam Jar had its ups and downs, frustrations and bright spots, and it was so fun and full of ridiculousness and heart. It left me with a huge grin on my face and feeling all warm and gooey inside — I absolutely loooooved it!

The basic tried-and-true formula is used for this book, Weston and Zoe's story, as with others in the series, but it's still enjoyable. Some of the secondary characters are laugh-out-loud outrageous and funny. Weston didn't have a very likeable personality at the beginning (he was arrogant and cocky), but it improved. Linking his past actions to the aftereffects of his background experiences as a child in his polygamist father's cult helped to improve his image, at least for him. After having read all the prior books in the series, I'm to the point where I skip over most of the excessive number of sex scenes. One note: Weston's older brother Garrett mellowed somewhat in his book (#3 in the series), but was portrayed as his usual, disagreeable self in this one. That was disappointing to me. While I can see having him demonstrate some of those traits again, none of his softened edges were apparent in this story. It was also a bit disappointing that 1) Weston jumped to incorrect conclusions about Zoe so quickly and 2) that she forgave him so quickly. I felt like he needed to grovel more.

I'd give this book more than 5 Stars if I could as it's worth it that and more!

Sweet, steamy, and heartfelt, In Her Jam Jar is the perfect romance for a cozy night in. Nobody weaves a sultry small town love story like Alina Jacobs!! Especially the town of Harrogate where I would love to live with everything going on there. This was absolutely amazing!! It had me cracking up and there was barely a minute I wasn't grinning my dagum head off. Weston and Zoe were wonderful. Insane chemistry and hilarious banter. I fell more in love with the town of Harrogate and I need more now. Like I need Hunters and Meghan story right now lol A steamy emotional romantic comedy... It’s such a captivating book that I had a hard time putting it down. A funny, emotional romance that’s the perfect escape for everyone, especially with everything going on in the world. Ms. Jacobs writes this town so that while reading you can almost envision yourself walking down the street.... I'd give this book more than 5 Stars if I could as it's worth it that and more. Bring on the next book please. Happy reading everyone!!

So if you choose to have relations in public, you run the risk of getting caught. So boo boo she was made fun of for not quite two years. Try all 11 years of your life. It happens to a lot of kids. Weston never said he taped the incident. We all know it was Sharla. Zoe never tried to get back at Sharks which is just crazy. Sure Weston was full of himself in High School, he went from living in a cult hardly eating to living with billionaires. Nobody understands what people go through behind closed doors. At anytime she could of said something. He didn't even know it happened. Instead she stole thousands of dollars in food from his house. She planned on seeking revenge even after sleeping with him numerous times. She was just not my cup of tea for that family. Grandma was just over the top with that sister. Finally the Meg story will be done. These women in all these stories act like they have no bringing up. They act like teenage girls.

Alina Jacobs is a master at writing stories about curvy, independent women who are smart and feisty but down on their luck. Somehow, they manage to attract a Svensson brother not because they are looking for a rich husband but because they aren't. They jump in to help with taking care of and feeding their million little brothers (it might not be that many but it sometimes seems like it).
In this case, Zoe is struggling to keep her grandmother's restaurant going by selling different flavor jams at various events. When Weston comes to town, he doesn't recognize her as the poor girl that he had humiliated in high school. She's out for revenge but no one can resist falling in love with a Svensson.
I love all of these stories but I think this one might be my favorite yet!

Loved it! Zoe and Weston share a history that he doesn’t remember, but boy does Zoe! She sets out on a path of revenge to make him pay for an embarrassing situation that happened years ago. Along the way that revenge takes A turn that Zoe wasn’t expecting. We are introduced to more Svensson brothers will have you laughing.

Get your refreshments and prepare to be entertained with this steamy rom com. You will recognize some of the old town favorites and will be rooting for Zoe’s friends and Weston’s brothers to find their mates.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Jam Jars

XXX! Adult content, reader discretion advised. This book is a bit darker than the other books in this series. It’s a great Fall read with apple cider or pumpkin spice latte. Winston was a self absorbed genius in high school. He used and discarded people more frequently than toilet paper gets replaced. Zoe was a naive high school girl who let Winston plucked all of her cherries. When life dealt them cards of crossing paths again, Winston must decide if wading through her thorns and other products.

down on her luck, and stuck in a negative spiral heroine, happy go lucky billionaire

Weston was hell on wheels in high school college and after but now he wanted a more stable life. Zoe was bullied in high school and by her sister and parents. She failed in NYC as a chef and returned home to work in her grandmothers restaurant. Weston was her high school crush that did her wrong and of course there is the mean girl. Crazy relatives bad decisions missing children and lots of funny chaos later with a spectacular grand gesture.

I love Alina's books, but this one was bad.

Weston was a conceited idiot and never matured. Okay that's believable, but the fact she was humiliated in high school and she falls in love with him? That's really unrealistic.
Then he does it again! Has her arrested. I don't understand why she would forgive this.

Zoe was just as bad, she should have walked away from that toxic family forever ago, why was she enabling the Grandma? Why put up with that level of abuse? It's insane.

I hope the next one is better.

I really like the stories, but...

I have been enjoying the series with the Harrogate Billionaires but don’t you think that the female protagonists have the worst ‘best’ friends? They only want to get their own piece of her and strongarm her into doing what they think is best. I suppose it’s also her own fault for being weak. I also am tired of the overly aggressive inappropriateness of the senior citizens which no one cares about.

Weston and Zoe were less relatable than other couples in the series. No girl is so enamored with a hot guy that she hardly knows in high school to give up her v-card. The entire story was based on this happening in home ec. Now is there a high school mean girl to record and make fun of someone else? Yep, in every class.
Coming home to Harrodsgate was joyous for Weston and sad for Zoe. Weston was at the pinnacle of his career success. Zoe was a failure.

Zoe and Weston

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Trope: enemies to lover-ish
Tension: 2/5 you feel bad for Zoe, she’s been essentially verbally abused since high school by not only her peers but her parents. Her friends are there for her but don’t take into consideration what she actually wants. Zoe’s sister is the worst.
Pro: well developed characters, dual pov
Con: the human trafficking subplot was grim

Zoe and a Svensson’s romance

I so enjoy all these books so far. They are so funny and busy. The out of control babies, children, teens, and adult men are something else. With crazy antics , behaviors, and ideas, these is no boredom in these romances. I can’t wait for the next book.

Small town antics

It's an ok funny romance. I don't like how the sister gets a way with everything and is not held accountable for anything. She should at least pay her grandma money as well as thank her sister. Its definitely a theme in the books written by this author. The old ladies in the town are real characters. The toddlers learned how to talk way to fast.

Zoe & Westom

Truly awful Weston has grown up and is a total golden retriever but Zoe is still traumatized from their run in in high school. It's ten years later and she's still hung up on it but Weston doesn't even remember and falls hard for her almost instantly. 4.5/5 spicy
