Half Hope – Danyal Saleem

I was provided a copy of this story by the author in order to provide an honest review.

“Half Hope” is the first novel by Danyal Saleem, an author who lives in Pakistan.

This story is about a young man named Dustin. Struggling with the memory of his father, or what he assumes is the memory of his father, struggling to make his way in the world.

Dustin suffered from weird visions and dreams, unsure of where and when, or what time he was in.

Going back and forth in time and between people.

Then Dustin met a girl Hope, just as lost and hurt by the world as Dustin. Maybe together they could find peace and love.

“Half Hope” is a fiction novel that centers around a young boy, Dustin.

The author had a good plot and idea for his story, unfortunately I found it hard to follow with the back and forth and the way it was written – the language and the words used.

I appreciate the effort and time spent by the author writing this story, it is obviously a labour of love for them.

Not a book to read around and gossip everyday. Way too different and twisted. I had to read it twice to understand the timelines and the story and what was happening around it to understand it. Its a story of a boy who's father was murdered ruthlessly. His brother runs a DEA search for the suspect but... little does he know what twisted ways curl up in this world to karma one's life.

I personally loved it and would encourage everyone to read it and give it a try at how different sometimes books can be.
