Discover the first three books in #1 bestselling author James Patterson's #1 bestselling series. Along Came a Spider introduced Alex Cross, a homicide detective with a PhD in psychology. A murderous serial kidnapper determined to commit the crime of the century becomes every parent's bad dream -- and Cross's nightmare. In Kiss the Girls, Cross faces two clever pattern killers who are collaborating, cooperating, competing -- and they're working coast to coast. In Jack & Jill, a rhymed crime-scene not signed "Jack and Jill" puts Cross on notice that no citizen in the nation's capital -- from schoolchildren to those who walk the corridors of power -- will be safe until he can decode the scheme wrought by a pair of fiendish assassins.

5 OG Patterson Stars * * * * * Spoiler Free-Only $4.99!!!! I have always been a reader...from the very beginning. I had a love of books from the start. I think both my parents were happy to see a book in my hand and encouraged trips to the library all the time. I discovered Nancy Drew and from that point on, mystery/thrillers, etc. were my jam.
I discovered James Patterson during a time when I was looking after my dad when he needed assistance. The library was my mental savior and Patterson the way to take me away from my responsibilities at night. I met Alex Cross and never looked back.
The first three books of Alex Cross are in this volume and on sale for less than the purchase of one. You also are getting the real deal, Patterson, before he became a business with multiple people assisting him in work.
I say if you want to go for it, do so. If you haven't read them or only have seen the movies, the experience might be what you are looking for.
Along Came a Spider Kiss the Girls Jack & Jill Alex Cross, Volumes 1-3
I have lost count but I have read a handful of these detective stories. I enjoy the character and the mysteries. In these 3 volumes I ran across one too many typos which is not only irritating but distracting from the story, as if this was just pumped out in a hurry to sell quickly. The three separate books repeated a lot of background from the others about Alex, his family, why he loves his children, x10. Some phrasing and introduction of people or things was just too ordinary, or you knew before you read it. Not a lot of suspense.
I read all of these books probably 20 years or more ago. So they were all new to me. I can see how this series is so successful. The characters the plots every thing about them just grabs your attention. If you think you have it figured out think again the books have just the right amount of twists. So now I will continue with the series in order I remember how much I enjoyed them.
This was an amazing book. Jack and Jill are killers of important people who are on their way to a big ending. Alex Cross needs to find them. He has plenty of help but how many will die first? Highly recommend.
