This was a good read... But the title definitely does not fit the storyline... The flow was a little off at times it jumped in time without me knowing how much time had past... Then there was a chapter that read like it was in the wrong order... Because it made it read a little backwards... There is a lot of action and moving parts in this book so you definitely need to pay attention and get to know the characters...
Royce and Christian are best friends... After a rocky relationship with her boyfriend Malcolm, Christian moved back to her home town... While hanging with her friend and doing everything she can to look for a job... She gets pulled into a double date with her best friend Royce and a new man she just met named Kordell and his brother Javoni... Let's just say between Christian and Javoni there was never a dull moment... These two stayed going at it... Yet something was happening that they were not familiar with and that they had no control over... And now look at how much their lives have changed...
Royce however, quickly gets pulled into the life of Kordell... Just when things are going to good to be true... She finds out that things are not always what they seem... Because now his life has crossed into hers and now her livelihood is in jeopardy... Now after what she does to try and distance herself from him he stops it... I was like man get your house in order before dragging her into your mess... But nope he wanted his cake and eat it too... Now we see how well this is working out for everyone...
Javoni is a wild one... He has commitment issues... He is a man whore... After seeing what his brother is going through he never wants to be in a relationship... Little did he know that doing his brother a favor and going on this double date would shake up his whole life... And make him be a better man...
Khari is the little sister of Javoni and Kordell.. She is 21 but her family treats her like she is a teenager... This is causing her to rebel as most young women do when they feel caged... She is now starting to get more bold with what she is doing... I mean she is 21 so she should be able to go hang with her friends without having to have her parents know her every move... well because of this she is only in contact with certain people... Now because of this relationships are about to change and there is no telling what will happen with her... Just when she is finally getting the courage to let her family know what she has been up to now this happens. .
Well I guess I am about to get into book 2 to find out how everyone's loves will end up...

I'm about 80% and I'll finish it by force because I just can't not finish a book but this book is seriously pushing me to not finish it. I don't even have the energy to itemize why it's bad but just read at your own risk and don't say you won't warned. The ratings (mine and everyone else's) is hella generous for this one. It also has to be a complete 180 flip by the end for me to even want to read book 2.

Unnecessarily long

It was good. I love Kaylyn’s writing, but this book didn’t have to be this long because it was just the same thing happening over and over so I felt like the book was at a stand still at one point because I wanted the book to move along. But we were stuck at back and forths. Very repetitive. But good book so it kept me going. Like Jovani and Christian. He piss her off; they make up…repeat. Same with Kordell and Royce

Enjoyed this first book. I am about to read book 2. Christian and Javonni are my book babes! They are so cute together. I need Ayla to go on somewhere. She better not pop up talking about she pregnant. The parents beer to stop suffocating Khari. I hope she and Darius okay because you know Maria did that.

This book was good. I love Christian and Javonni are definitely made for each other. Ayla is crazy. Nadia is something else and need to learn when to let go. Kordel and Royce are good together. The ending is crazy I'm definitely reading part 2.
