Four years later, recent law school graduate, Ava Keene never imagined her life would take the turn it did.
Her happiness shattered by a devastating accident. She wants answers and wonders if she will ever receive them.
Xander is gone. Self-exiled as penance for his past transgressions. Not even his family know his his whereabouts. Love couldn't fix the mess he created but he can't live without her.
Will they ever see each other again and if they do, can they overcome their past to make the relationship work?
Ignite ends in a cliffhanger. No cheating and HEA at the end of the series.

This is the next book in Ava and Xander's story. We pick up four years after book one has finished and we learn some things that has happened during these last four years. We see what these characters have been through and what they will continue to go through. There is a lot love, frustration, over protectiveness, deceitfulness and friendship in this book and it will make you feel many emotions. There is still no answer as to whether Ava and Xander make it together as a couple so we have to stay tuned for book three and I can't wait bring it on.
I read the first book in this series, which is required reading in order to know what's going on in this second book. I gave that book a poor review (2 stars) for several reasons. Those issues haven't really been resolved in this book, but they were less glaring. When I read the first book, I didn't know it was a cliffhanger and was upset that it was and that the write-up specifically said it wasn't a cliffhanger. I don't like to be blindsided by those. In this case, I knew that it's another cliffhanger and there are three books in the series so that issue of not knowing it's a cliffhanger was eliminated. I still feel that should be clearly pointed out in the write-up.
The other issues included typos and formatting errors which continue in this book but aren't as plentiful. Either that or I've just gotten used to them. The remaining big issue is that the characters make some really stupid decisions and the resolutions are very drawn out. As in the first book, I think about 100 pages of this 500+ page book could be eliminated. Thankfully, there is less vomiting and cleaning although they weren't completely eliminated.
Why is it that every man Ava decides to spend time with is a jerk? Even Xander is a jerk at times and not in a "he's a bad boy" way but more in a "he's a stubborn jerk" way. (Amazon won't let me use stronger language.) She and Xander do some things that I just want to smack them for. A little of that is understandable but it would have been nice to have less of those dumb actions.
I'm now invested in the story and will read the last book in the series. I hope the writing continues to improve and the errors continue to decrease. I think this is a developing author who would have benefited a great deal from a good editor or a beta group of readers. There's a lot of promise in these stories, which is why I'm continuing to read the series even with the issues rather than stopping after the first book. This is worth your time, just be forewarned that you'll need to tolerate typos and formatting issues (change of speaker without a new paragraph and continued same speaker over multiple paragraphs), and the characters might frustrate you at times.
I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review. I loved the first book in this series so much that I couldn't wait to read this one. I loved this book as much as the first. I was hooked from the beginning and didn't want to stop reading until the book was finished It was filled with suspense and kept you wondering if Ava and Xander would get back together. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I definitely recommend this book and the series.
Great story. Lots of issues like their is in real life for a lot of people. Bummed how so many things can get in the way, but if you open your mind and heart there is light at the end of the tunnel. Including a huge cliffhanger making me beg for more. Couldn't put it down, had to find out more and more.
Must be of legal age to read this book. But if you are, it's a great read. The story continues for Ava and Zander and we end still not knowing if we have a happy ending. bring on the next book
Book 2 is a great follow up - both In terms of the story & character development as well as growth in the writer herself. There's a confidence now that was not present in Spark, and I feel that makes Ignite much more enjoyable - hence the 5 star review.
There is romance aplenty, and a cliffhanger that had me screaming at my computer screen. Hopefully there won't be too long of a wait for the last installment!
Ava and Xander's love for each other prevail once again in book 2 of the series! Their strength and determination prove that obstacles cannot stand in the way of true love. I definitely recommend this book. I cannot wait to read the next chapter in their story!
Even more drama than the first, don't mean to have a spoiler but these two just cant seem to get together they are destined to have something pull them apart If you love massive drama in your reads then you will love this series if you wanting a sweet love story avoid.
I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review If your looking for a hot, funny and drama book filled with love. This is the series for you. I kept telling myself just one more chapter, but that one more managed to be till the end of the book. This story will keep you on your toes and battling with yourself about who you want to strangle more. I definitely recommend this book and the series
An excellent continuation of the original book Spark, it was incredibly well written, the characters were interesting and indepth. This is an excellent read for anyone who enjoys romance intrigue and a book that keeps you wondering what will happen next. This is a book i would definitely recommend to anyone who loves an in depth plot, but because of that it is a long read, so make sure you set a couple of days aside for this one because once you start reading it you wont want to stop.
