A Firehouse Christmas Baby is the second book in the Lovestruck, Vermont series by Teri Wilson. This is the first book I have read by this author. It can easily be read as a stand alone. The female MC’s best friend is the main character of the first book. I chose this mostly because of the adorable cover! I love babies in my romances and this one revolves around an abandoned baby, bringing together two people that in coming together, found something they needed in their lives.

Wade Ericson has lived in Lovestruck, Vermont all his life. When he officially became a firefighter, there was no question that he would want to work in the community he loved. Recently, Wade has become a town hero, simply by being the one to answer a particular call. Because of this, the Mayor has advised him that he is going to play Joseph in the town’s living nativity at the Christmas festival.

This may contain: a man sitting on a bed holding a baby

Felicity Hart has only been in Lovestruck for two weeks. She left her magazine job in New York, needing to get out of the big city, and has opened a yoga studio in Lovestruck. Her best friend, Madison and her new husband live here and Felicity fell in love with the quaint little town. Felicity had her heart broken when she was so close to becoming a mother and had everything yanked away from her at the last moment. Moving to Lovestruck was supposed to be a fresh start. Unfortunately, she got talked into being Mary in the town’s nativity program.

This may contain: a baby's first christmas ornament hanging from a ribbon

Both Felicity and Wade’s world is turned upside down when a newborn baby is literally placed into their arms. Felicity’s heart can’t go through this again but she is the only person in town with the proper foster care certification. Her tiny apartment doesn’t have the space for an infant so they move in to Wade’s house, just for the holiday, to give the baby a safe place to stay until other arrangements can be made. But neither of them can help but to fall in love with the tiny little boy. At the same time, the bond between them strengthens, showing them a life that could be theirs, if only they were brave enough to reach out and take it.

This may contain: christmas love handwritten typeface with holly branches and ornaments on a white background in red

This was a very sweet, holiday romance. I loved how both Wade and Felicity were with the sweet baby. It came so naturally to them both. Maybe the magic of Christmas can help them all to open their hearts, and accept a dream they never knew they could have!

A baby, a King Charles Spaniel and a firefighter. That's it, that's my "selling" pitch😜. Okay, let me try something else then.

Felicity was working in the fashion industry when she made the impulsive move to invest in a new life and moved out to Lovestruck, small town in Vermont, to open a yoga studio. It wasn't that she hated her job, it was more about a change of scenery, to try to think a little less about a failed adoption that broke her heart 6 months ago. But when a baby is abandonned at the firehouse and Wade, the most popular firefighter in Lovestruck, can't resign himself to drive the child to social workers yet, Felicity is the only one in town qualified to foster babies. As much as she wants to protect herself from another heartbreak, she finally accept Wade's offer to stay temporary with him and the tiny infant. They plan to reevalute after Christmas but both have too big a heart to keep it only temporary.

I haven't read the previous book so I confirm this one can be read as a standlone no problem. Such a sweet and whimsical Christmas story. No wonder half the town is in love with the hero, he's so thoughtful! And the doggy character was adorably spirited ! I just wished Felicity and Wade was romantically involved before they started to think and talk about being a family for real.

3.5 Stars. This is the second book in a series though it can easily be read as a standalone.

I liked Wade and Felicity together and I enjoyed the sweet gestures to help her business and replace a damaged handbag, but overall their romance felt slightly rushed, I wanted a few more scenes showing them gradually falling for each other instead it seemed like all of a sudden they were in love.

Like the romance, Wade needed a little more to him, it’s mentioned that he was a playboy type yet there isn’t any evidence of that, you’d think it might be a jarring transition to suddenly go from decidedly single to insta-family man, but there wasn’t much struggle for him, his character doesn’t really have a conflict or a noticeable arc.

Felicity, on the other hand, had a compelling arc, her past makes fostering a baby an understandably fraught experience for her, I genuinely felt for her as well as for the two girls in the story who had such difficult choices to make.

Christmas doesn’t feature as heavily as I tend to prefer, but there is some fun fashion stuff here (as there was in the first book in the series) and I adored the dog who is a bit too possessive of Wade and on a little journey of her own to opening her heart up to other people.

Another in the Lovestruck, Vermont series, in which yoga teacher Felicity Hart seeks a new life after experiencing a heartbreaking experience she can't seem to escape. She reluctantly agrees to be the Virgin Mary in a live nativity scene and when she goes to the firehouse to pick up "Joseph," firefighter Wade Ericson, a young woman approaches and hands her a tiny baby, knowing that she can anonymously turn over the child with no questions asked.

What Felicity wants to do is turn the baby over to Wade, and what Wade wants to do is keep the child. After all, he delivered the baby along the side of the road weeks earlier when called to help the new mother. But he can't do it alone, so he prevails on Felicity to move into his house--her attic apartment is too small to shelter her and a baby--until after Christmas, when the CPS office is open and can work to find an adoptive family for the baby.

But what happens as Christmas approaches recreates a new family that neither Felicity nor Wade thought they wanted but now can't do without. Which makes it even more heartbreaking when the teen mother shows up again. Now what will they do?

Good story based on the law that allows parents to leave infants at fire stations and police offices with no questions asked, and no criminal charges. But this happens at the Lovestruck Fire Department to Wade Ericson, who had just delivered the baby two weeks earlier. And the baby was left in the arms of Felicity Hart, who was working with Wade on the town's Christmas Pageant. Initially, Felicity doesn't want anything to do with the baby, but she can't hold out against the baby, and Wade. And since her apartment is miniscule, they move to Wade's for the time being. And romance goes on. . .

This is a sweet Christmas read. After delivering a baby on the side of a road, Wade feels a connection with the child. When that same child is surrendered at his fire station, he instantly decides the child needs to stay with him. But that requires Felicity's help as he needs a registered foster care parent. Unfortunately, Felicity is still suffering from a past fostering trauma. I appreciated that Felicity's emotions were never dismissed. Fostering is emotionally hard, and that was clearly stated. And Wade had his own past trauma to overcome to be a good father, and he was also allowed his emotions. Overall, a good read.

Who cares about a Birkin bag?

I was disappointed in this book. I learned more about a Birkin bag/purse in this book than I did about what the characters looked like. The author epically failed to paint a picture of the main characters. This book had a lot of potential and didn't even get interesting until about the last 15% of the book. This book felt like a walking advertisement for multiple expensive brands. I will never again read a book by this author because of it.

3.5 stars - A sweet romance with a strong character arc for Felicity. This story needed a little more romance imo. There were two things that threw me during the story, one was the hyper focus on the designer clothes, bags etc. The second was her yoga business - no mention of adversing, efforts to promote her business, just wallowing in not having many clients a month into being open. Otherwise, the story was enjoyable.

Felicity impulsively moved to a small town in Vermont to open a yoga studio, where firefighter Wade is struggling to deal with the community response to his "heroic" delivery of a baby, both dealing with grief. When the baby is left at the firehouse Safe Haven, they get pulled together. For a book with this title, there wasn't much focus on Christmas, events in the firehouse, or interactions with the baby! It was charming, but wow did Wade come on hard.

A Firehouse Christmas Baby

I completely loved this book by Terri Wilson as it’s the second in her series. It was a great and easy read. The characters were so open about their pain and why they shouldn’t be parents. I could completely feel what Felicity was feeling seeing the birth mom walk in. Great family and it takes place at Christmas.

This is the first book I have read by Terri Wilson but I will definitely be reading more. This was a good Christmas Story with its ups and downs and I loved the characters Felicity and Wade who fell in love with a baby dropped off by an anonymous mother but Felicity has a fear that something will go wrong.

Fall in love with Wade, the handsome firefighter who makes every woman dreams even the married one. His path isn’t an easy one with quite a lot of heartbreaking moments. It takes a village to raise a baby, find out exactly how while reading this sweetest Christmas’s baby story.

Cute story. I had a harder time understanding Wade, but Felicity's trauma was realistic. There were a few logic holes in the story (if Wade was a player, wouldn't he be taking advantage of all the women throwing themselves at him instead of hiding from them?) But good representation of a sweet little town with good people willing to step up.

good story Idea

Have enjoyed other books by you… But this one has no zing, and the female just did not draw you to keep reading…. I always read the whole books I get but almost put this down for good… It just did not feel like real people or good deep emotions.. But I am going to finish it and hope some type of draw to story keeps me going.

What a cute book! Not only for the cutest baby, but Joseph, (not to mention he's a hunky fireman) and Mary as well. I read it in one afternoon as I turned the pages as fast as I could to see what was going to happen next. Highly recommend!

4.5 stars. 🥰🥰🥰 I’m quickly falling in love with this author. I think this one was even better than the last one I read. I love how sweet and romantic and small-town-goodness-y these books are. Basically your average Hallmark movie, and I’m here for it. 🥰

Really cute story

Loved the story. The fears of an unwed mother are hard to go through and sometimes you don't make the right decisions. This book covers some difficult emotions.

Meant to be

They had a connection from the beginning and then came Nick. I love small towns where everyone looks out for each other. Duchess was an added bonus. Lol

A sweet Christmas story for the holidays! The hero was a hunk, but the female character was way too whiny. The setting of a small town in Vermont was great.
