Pretty good
Anya is progressing as an author at a quick pace, and this series shows that. She has great talent in setting up scenes, especially intimate ones, that are unique and exciting to read. It seems the MC is starting to get ahold of his urges, albeit ever so slightly, which shows some character growth, which is nice to see. I really, really, really dislike the reluctance to kill on behalf of the MC and his party. It makes zero sense and actually angers me. People literally are trying to rape, murder, torture, imprison etc , but no, I mustn’t kill them! Ugh! That is almost enough to get me to quit a book on the spot. It is verging on idiotic and self destructive just for a little virtue signaling. Grow a pair, plant your feet, get pissed and take care of business like a man. Removed a star for that and some other minor continuity errors. Like saying they spent their remaining copper, then two paragraphs later saying they had just enough money to buy something else. Bah.
