EXCELLENT all the way around!

The Post-Apocalyptic Genre is stretched thin these days, with so many different stories and every threat imaginable having been examined.

But authors Bell and Krause conceived an entirely NEW, different global threat, bringing novelty back to the genre.

Then, they created a brilliant plot and vivid cast of characters to explore that stark, scary new world.

I have a few quibbles. The series clearly lacked accurate, detailed knowledge of military weapons and, most glaringly how the US military is organized for wars...and disasters.

Personally, as a military retiree, I must enjoy the P-A genre with bitnof reservation, due to the consistently negative portrayals of most military personnel and the Chain of Command. At least in this series, there were a few good people in the military, and they wnded being part of the needed resolution to crises.

I don't personally know of any Stone Sword or other survivalist groups out in the world. But I do know a lot of individuals that could fit in quite well in a Stone Sword reality, if ever required.
>> Perhaps that's what made this series so vivid for me. I could see people I knew or know today, fitting into every single role in the books.

I'm not of that caliber myself...but I'd do my best to assist in whatever capacity I could.

The last part of a series that I have thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed. I have read with relish every single page of every episode and I am now sad that it has ended. The relationships between Joel and Helen, Shawna and 'big T' Tristan and Jack and Laura, the hardships and turmoil that they all had to endure before they al came together at Stone Sword, unbelievable!
Here in this last episode, the mad and murderous Colonel Lancaster has one last evil mission and that is to rase to the ground the so called fortress of Stone Sword, the small town of Malcolm, no matter how many innocent citizens he might kill, he believes that they are all insurgents and need to be wiped from the face of the earth. What he doesn't know is that together with our aforesaid heroes and under the command of Major Valley, this small town of farmers and whatnot have a resilience that he has never met before and he just doesn't know what he is up against.
A brilliant end to, for me, a brilliant series. I now will have to find more books of this excellent author, Justin Bell, so as to blissfully while away more of my retirement hours. Thank you Mr Bell, once more a brilliant 5/5!!

I loved these books ,but the last book I cried so hard when Joel was hit during the battle.Helen

went to his side and you are not sure if he is alive then he touched her finger my heart was broken.
I just could not stop crying. I was thinking about all the thing that they have been through and when he started to care about Helen ,Joel gets really hurt. Then not sure if he is dead more tears are falling.
Joel was close to death Joel was thinking about his children and wife " daddy are you coming with us" I just knew it was over for Joel. Joel was alive .I was so happy no more crying .And please continue this series.Have Helen like a boy and Joel will not handle it very good. Helen will out shot her new boy friend. And something going on with Joel and Helen's mother It just getting good .

Fantastic read.

Absolutely one of the best apocalyptic series I have ever read. Well thought out storyline with amazingly well rounded characters, both heroes and villains. I first wondered if my interest was going to last through a ten book series, but Mike Kraus and Justin Bell not only kept my interest but left me hungry for more. If you area fan of TEOTWAWKI fiction, then the Storm's Fury series is right up your alley. Try it and I guarantee you will like it. This series is one that will entertain the hell out of you and leave you satisfied with the conclusion but sad that it's ended. Would highly recommend.

This is the final book of what has been a generally good series. The bad guys, Lancaster and Willoughby are a little too one-dimensional and archetypal. The obsession with destroying a small town in Wyoming to have Willoughby save face on the world stage was puzzling even to Lancaster. The strength of this series has rested on the relationship of Joel and Helen and this book continues that to its resolution. I was a little unsettled by Laura and Joel gravitating toward each other when they seemed mismatched and no real spark. Nevertheless, this was a good series with a very interesting premise of how tech can go so wrong.

Wow, that was incredible!

What a ride this series of books has been. True villains that you love to hate. Even better were true heroes that you dearly loved. I literally cried when I thought Joel had died. You get so drawn into the characters and want them to win so badly. It was a look at how quickly the fabric of our world can be torn apart. You learn what people in desperate situations can become and what they can overcome. Excellent ending to an excellent series of books. Well done.

Very entertaining

This intriguing novel brings to light the truth about our very own military. We want to believe that they serve to protect our way of life. Some do, but some just hunger for power and take delight at causing pain and death. Even the gangs have started sending their members to signup to be professionally trained by our elite. Foreign countries are doing the same.

Very well written series. I do sincerely hope that the author will return to this storyline.

I truly have enjoyed every minute of read this. Please please give me more. Happy New year to you all and the best for the new year. Love from Sue XX

Storm's Fury books

I waited until the end of this series before posting a review/rating. I so thoroughly enjoyed this series, from the first page to the very last page! Between the characters, the plots, the action, I was never bored with these books. I plan on reading them again because I am sure they will only get better with each reading! I am very much looking forward to further stories!

Storms Fury, a great read

When I first started Mr. Bells novel, I wondered how he would creat a new world catastrophe. As I moved forward in his endeavor, I found myself being amazed at the inventiveness of his mind to come up with an exciting and captivating foundation for this apocalyptic novel. As you start, you will say “ just another chapter and I’ll turn out the lights”. It doesn’t work! Enjoy!

Great Series!

I read a large number of apocalyptic fiction. This series was excellent! I generally do not care for chapters going from one set of characters and story lines to another. Storm's Fury brought it all together in a way that not only held interest but was well crafted and makes you care about the characters . I recommend the series. I hope to see the stories continue.

Loved the Storm's Fury series

I really loved this series. I was very happy when this last part of the series was available. I needed to find out where these characters ended up. Very happy with the ending and I like that Jack and Roxy ended up having a bond and others made it through to the end. Thanks

The last of this series is mindblowing.

All the different groups who descended from all over the country to meet up in a small settlement of preppers who have lived off the land and prepared for such an event as the basic destruction of the US by its own government. 3 months of rain, lightning and then starving murderous citizens followed all of them. Till the military going on to take out the citizens of this town but we're stopped by force of the inhabitants.

Great series

Absolutely one the best series of books I have ever read. I've been reading sci-fi over 50 years. Lots and lots of really good books. This series is just wonderful, so many good characters and so many side takes and overlapping layers. Just loved them and I too want to hear more of them

Amazing climax

Loved how the story came together and showed how important it is to lean into each other during a crisis. It is more than one man or woman. Sad some of the characters had to be sacrificed but that is how life is. Enjoyed Laura finally reunited with her daughter Helen and Jack finding new love. I could go on but I recommend you pick up the series and ENJOY

Stunning and amazing

This is the best series i have ever read in this genre of perhaps any. The characters are complex, vibrant and jump off the page. Their problems Wind their way into your soul staying with you long after you close the book. You get mad at them for foolish decisions and wish you knew more about some of the ancillary ones.

Good vs evil

So much action and evil forces trying to survive the devastating US. Many characters take different paths that ultimately lead to one Strong Hold. Getting there is a battle all on its own. Hoping to see a spin off series showcasing the rebuilding of America, with these same characters. Thanks Mike, awesome ending.

Yes 👍

The survivors were not going to be shoved aside any more. Stone Sword kicked ass. Lancaster got what he deserved. Glad to see Pike took care of the other problem. It would be nice to know how the survivors made out.

Awesome! This needs to be a movie!

I read all 10 of them, and i was actually sad when I finished the last one, because I knew there was no number 11. I can’t believe a ten book series and no mistakes! Waiting for more.

What a storyteller!

I’m glad I didn’t throw the book across the room when I felt like it near the end. When I thought a certain character met a certain end, I was going to quit reading. Sure would have been nice if Shawna’s heart’s desire had happened though!

Read the series

Just a good read! Could't put it down. Usually reading 2 or 3 books at a time, but this one drew all my attention to it. There were just enough relationships and action to keep me thinking, but not so much to be confusing. Justin, Mike...you did it again!

Who really is Ali

I did not like the two versions of Ali. They made no sense! The authors must not have collaborated on that part. It was as if two authors wrote separately and whoever checks the book didn't check it very well. Except for That the book series was great!
