They don’t get married until the end! I feel cheated because I wanted to read about a marriage of convenience not about an engagement. Also they have sex in the final chapter. Boring!

Pretty short and fast pace with some steam.

Garrit is the type of alpha who gets what he wants and he's been wanting Kennedy since he saw her and makes a deal with her father.  But he sees this as a win for him a wife in his bed and he can keep working. Little did he know his little obession would become more lol. Kennedy was such a sweetheart even if she's in this areange marriage she thought her future hubs didn't even like her. Oh how wrong she was, it did take Garrit few mins to finally pull his head out his butt when it came down to work and his Forever.  We also get some drama from and some sister bonding. I do love when they show sister bonding.

I really wanna see the brother and Kennedy sister... wonder what he shall do when he finds out shes leaving in 6 months lol

No om drama slight ow drama, no cheating, slight secondary character, drama, sexy times, virgin gal no manwhore celibate

4.5 stars An arranged marriage with an OTT H? yes please

Ah. I love me some arrange marriage books; too bad we don’t really see them in the arranged marriage lol. More like an arranged engagement.

Kennedy’s family’s in debt and her father makes a deal with Garrit- marry his daughter in exchange for money so he can become solvent. Kennedy and her sister haven’t had the best upbringing. Their family comes from a long line of arrange marriages- all of which have loveless partnerships. Kennedy doesn’t want that, but she’s not given a choice. The thing is this- Garrit has been wanting her for a while now 👀 and he did whatever he needed to do to get Kennedy to be his 😉.

What I liked: POSSIBLE SPOILERS
—the tension🔥. This book might be short, but ermagod, there’s so much of it 😅. Their first alone scene was just a kiss, but my gawd, what a kiss👀. As soon as he closes the bathroom door, he claims what’s his 😉. Even the changing room scene😈. Oh sweet jeeeezus. You claim what’s yours Garrit. You do you boo 👀😅

—MINEMINEMINE. She’s his and only his. No other man is ever gonna taste her 💅

—he calls her Wife 🥰 and he programs his number in her phone as Husband 💁🏻‍♀️

—he’s so alpha and demanding and obsessed. I love how he barges into her life and gets what he wants. Sneaking in a tracker into her ring is enough proof

—the relationship builds over the book. It’s not instalust (a la JK style), which was nice. Even though we find out how obsessed Garrit is, the development of both their feelings is more organic (and nothing crazy happens- no one jumping off buildings or trying to unalive themselves lol- iykyk)

—the smexxxy stuff. Sure. We only get one full scene, but we get lots of delicious appetizers. I mean, Garrit sure luuuurves to please his Wife 😜🥵🔥💦

—the 🍒 claiming scene, which includes “just the t!p” scene 😅🔥

—how quickly Garrit puts people in their place when it comes to Kennedy, whether it’s her mom, his assistant, or the pesky ex 💁🏻‍♀️shoot even the stupid waitress got dirty looks from him lol 😉👏🏻

—Garrit’s brother and Kennedy’s sister 👀

—Garrit’s family dynamic. I love how close they are

What I didn’t like/wanted more of:
—full smexxy times. You knew this was coming lol. But I’m okay with what we got since there were lots of morsels along the way

—this is more like an arranged engagement. We don’t really see them in their arranged marriage since it happens at the end. Womp womp

—although I love that this is low angst, a couple of things that happened could’ve had more impact in the book. Like the OM scene or the random, gratuitous OW scene during their wedding. The OM scene had the potential for a great OTT jp moment (and it kind of happens, but I wanted more jealousy to occur lol 😈), but the random OW scene trying to claim she dated Garrit was stup!d🤷🏻‍♀️. What was the point 🤦🏻‍♀️ lol it did nothing to move the plot forward. The book would’ve been fine without it

Overall, I really enjoyed it ❤️

Un desproposito de principio a fin. Me suelen gustar mucho los matrimonios forzados o de conveniencia pero cuando tienen un desarrollo coherente y organizado, dos aspectos que brillan por su ausencia en esta novela.

La historia es caotica, todos los sucesos son irreales y suceden a un ritmo frenetico que le hace un flaco favor a la lectura, realmente esperaba otra cosa al leer la premisa.

En resumen, un fiasco total, no se lo recomiendo ni a mi peor enemigo. Totalmente prescindible.

Kennedy se ha convertido en una moneda de cambio para sus padres. La han forzado a un matrimonio arreglado como si esto fuese la edad media! Y conocer a Gerrit no alivia sus temores, es un poco seco y mandón... Eso es hasta que ve al verdadero Gerrit, y a su dulce madre... Puede que este matrimonio acabe siendo mucho más que un acuerdo.

La actitud al principio de Gerrit es insoportable, es como que su mente era una y su boca otra. Porque sus pensamientos eran dulces pero después por la boca parecía un perro ladrando 🤣 aún así ha sido una historia genial, cortita y aun así tiene su trama.
Genial para pasar el rato!

"Only Her" is the story of Kennedy and Gerrit.

A pretty enjoyable romance with a 100% obsessed hero, who is so taken with the heroine he is grumpy all the time and spends majority of the book stalking her, and trying to make her his. She is shy and innocent, but is soon seduced by his tongue.

It was fine. Nothing special. Really just an Insta love arranged marriage. It’s only 100 pages, so super short. Not much room for a real storyline or details.

I do want to mention it has quite a few typos. I know some of you grammar obsessed bookworms can’t handle reading books with that.

Gerrit sees Kennedy in her dads office and instantly knows she’s the one and she is too good for him. He comes up with a plan that she can’t do no to. Only it was supposed to be an arranged marriage, but he finds out quickly that nothing goes as planned. Now he has to make her fall in love with him.
Loved it how hard Gerrit fell for Kennedy and the love and obsession he had for her. There was slight unnecessary tidbit in there, but overall I loved it.

A new book boyfriend awaits you when you dive into Lucy’s latest story.

Girrit is our hero, all he’s cared about is work. That’s his focus but when he takes one glance at our leading heroine Kennedy he’s done for. Marriage was never in his future, but one look at her and he’s envisioning a whole different future.

Of course he’ll still be devoted to his job but when he starts to wonder more about his future bride and what’s doing he comes to the realisation that work is the last thing in his mind. Her happiness is all he can think of.

If you love over the top insta love them this author manages to combine both a sweet story that has enough chemistry to make you blush.

No cheating. Minimal drama and one guaranteed happily ever after!

Loved!

I loved this story. It was sweet and spicy but still had enough of a developing relationship to keep me interested. I loved that Kennedy made her displeasure known when he told her how he THOUGHT their marriage was going to be and that he was so upset he didn’t know what was wrong. Men, am I right? Lol

The only thing that put me off was that at the start Gerrit acted like he just wanted a real wife of convenience. He wanted her so badly but only to be there when he felt like coming home. I wanted to punch him in the face when he told her work would always come first. Luckily, he pretty quickly realized how wrong he was and that he was lying to himself from the start.

An ok-ish read, not something I'll remember or want to re-read.

Gerrit Kane is the perfect Alpha hero, he is possessive and growly and completely consumed with his bride to be Kennedy. I love sweet innocent Kennedy she was a breath of fresh air. This is a great build-up of sexual tension and lots of my favorite thing to read about. Fast-paced with insta love.

Iam in a major reading slump so Iam reading only novellas currently. I was waiting for cringey OTT Mc but Gerrit was a loveable grump. He shut down any source of OW drama quickly and I love him for it. Kennedy wasn't a complete doormat she had a flame somewhere in her so I loved her also.

Only Her was about Gerrit Kane and Kennedy Cole. There wasn't much said about what either one of them did. It was mentioned that Gerrit owned his own business and that Kennedy worked for what sounded like some type of charity. Other than that, the author mentioned that both families had, at one time, been well-off. Only the Cole family had fallen into hard times and were about to lose everything, hence the deal between Gerrit and Kennedy's father.
The first time Gerrit saw Kennedy, he was determined to have her...so he did everything he could to make that happen. When he learned that her father was drowning in debt, he "made a deal with the devil" by paying off the man's loans in exchange for an arranged marriage to Kennedy.
This book was fast-paced, but it had all the feels of a full-length novel, including drama, angst, heartache, and love. Though these two were strangers bound by an agreement, the chemistry was sizzling from the very beginning, and only got hotter and spicier as the book got closer to the ending...although there were very few sexy scenes, and they didn't actually "go all the way" until after they were married, it was still heart-poundingly smoking.
I have to admit that it did need a bit of tweaking here and there, and it wasn't the best novella I've ever read. Gerrit was an A$$hole for quite a bit of the story, but he was never far from Kennedy's side. As for her, Kennedy was a bit on the naive side for her age (not specified for either of the two main characters. It was only ever mentioned that they were both past college age), and she needed to have a bit more of a backbone, especially where her parents were concerned. The book also leaned a bit towards the 1800s since it was an arranged marriage..which didn't make sense that Kennedy, an adult, would allow herself to be forced into such an agreement. Other than that, it was a pretty good story.
There was a touch of the "wannabe other woman" who tended to stick her nose where it didn't belong. However, it was clear to read that Gerrit only had eyes for Kennedy...and the same was true for her. There were a few twists and turns, along with a bit of a scare, but what book could be considered well-written if it didn't have a few moments where the reader wasn't certain of the outcome, huh? Although it was short and sweet, it was definitely worthy of a four-star rating.

I loved this over the top instalove story. It was entertaining and enjoyable, especially since Gerrit didn't realize it was love at first. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. There were quite a few people trying to be speed bumps between Kennedy and Gerrit. Even misunderstandings (lack of communication or miscommunication) between Kennedy and Gerrit caused bumps along the way. Gerrit however, was not letting anyone or anything keep the wedding from happening. Gerrit was totally alpha and majorly over the top but I would totally take him as my book boyfriend. He was so sweet and attentive. Gerrit even told Kennedy to let him know what was wrong so that he could fix it. That was totally sweet and I wanted to hug him for that. Kennedy was wonderful as well. She was sweet and helped Gerrit to understand that some of the things he said were hurtful. Kennedy even asked how he would feel if she said that to him so that he would realize how he had made her feel. There are plenty of feels in this story. I love so many things about this story that if I said them all this would be a book! Gerrit and Kennedy's happy ever after made me smile. I recommend reading this book.

Everything about this book was perfect. I loved both of the MCs and all of the side characters. The plotline made sense and it flowed perfectly. I loved Gerrit! He was so OTT JP just the way I like em! There was some typical miscommunication but it was an arranged marriage! What could you expect?
I'm putting this on my Top Reads of 2020 shelf. Probably my favorite by this author to date. 5 stars

Gerrit was doing business with Kennedy's father when he happens to see her/Kennedy. That is all it takes for Gerrit to know she is his and sets it in motion to claim her. Loved this quick hot read.
