This is the first book in the emotional, angsty, new adult series, Unstoppable.
Riley Mason met the love of her life at eight years old… she just didn’t know it yet. Scratch that: she didn’t even like the guy.
Maddox ‘Reno’ Renner, the resident King of Claremont High. Dark, brooding, arrogant… you get it. He’s the kind of gorgeous no girl is immune to, including Riley. She shouldn’t feel anything for him—falling for a guy like Reno would be stupid and reckless—but when he sets his sights on her, Riley’s forced to admit just how far she’s already fallen.
With expert precision, Reno manages to break down every one of her defenses, but just when Riley starts to think it might be safe to lower her guard, tragedy strikes in a way neither one of them could have predicted, tearing them apart.
When Reno needs her most, Riley will have to fight to reach the boy who’s always held her heart, but this might be one fight she can’t win.
Because Reno’s heart has always been untouchable. **
Note: "Untouchable" is an edgy, emotional, standalone in a series on interconnected books. Each book can be read alone, but it is advisable to read them in order. Due to offensive language and mature themes, this series is intended for readers 17+.
Danielle Hill is a contemporary romance author from the north of England. She lives with her husband, who’s learned to live with the fact her head is full of other (fictitious) men, and two gorgeous kids, whom she mostly remembers to feed and water, in between writing stories.
When she’s not writing, you’ll find her curled up with a book, watching a riveting box set and talking all the way through it (to her husband’s delight), or eating cookie dough cheesecake while promising to hit the gym tomorrow… not once has anyone found her in a gym. Don’t bother looking there.
She enjoys reading and writing about strong guys and girls who overcome all the odds to find their happy ending.
******SPOILER ALERT******* Did i like the story.? Meh. Well... enough to complete reading it. Was there anything I liked about it.? None at all. I don't enjoy or in any way laugh at the girl who gives empty threats to the H like, She will do this or that and then call her a sassy kickass heroine. Nope.!!! The H Reno is weak af. He began to throw tantrums, pushed Riley away, after his step-father and brother's death. he wasn't exactly close to them, I might sound like bitch as I said it. "But he wasn't close to them", so the drama he caused after their death was way too much. he pushed her away saying that everyone leaves and she'll too. Dude, they 'died'. And he was behaving like daddy gave an excuse of going out on a cigarette run and never came back. Heroine is total doormat, she let him use her for sex 'because he is hurting'. He doesn't even remember taking her virginity. He is that kind of an ass. And it took her a 'Miscarriage' -since Reno, the boy with a man's physique was hurting so much, he forgot condoms- to realize that his ass isn't worth it. A freaking miscarriage of 17 year old girl, as if her own mother a living example who had Riley when she was 16 and was abandoned by the baby daddy wasn't enough. She was thinking about not going to college for a boy, who is definitely not going to college or has any plans for the future and religiously drinks to drown on his own pathetic sorrows. Finally, she does go to college and comes back 11 months later, realizes that Reno is the one for her. Though he hasn't done shit after she had left, to deserve her. So basically this a story about trashes, who live in a trailer park. And and and... The slut shaming was way toooooo much. The h slut shamed Raya(The cliched girl who wants to be with the H, because he is the only guy left on earth), actually every character in the book who go a chance to talk slut shamed her as well. You never know Raya might also be hurting. But no, just keep on slut shaming her. Read it for entertainment but do not take any life advice from them. PS- My apologies for being rude.
This is exactly the type of book I love to read and this was absolutely brilliant! I couldn't put the kindle down. Can't wait for Leon and Liss' story! Xx
Great story. Great characters. Tear jerking. Funny. Sexy m/c and f/c are 17 and have known each other since small kids they have kept their feelings to each other quiet and this is the story of how they get together. There's a lot of ups and downs and lots of tears. I wish there were more books like this in the high school genre. Really well written and look forward to next book.
I loved this book! The writing flows beautifully and the story is full of emotion and angst. I may or may not have wanted to murder Reno a few times, but that's a sign of incredible storytelling if my emotions got that invested. I did forgive him by the end and loved how hard Riley and Reno fought for their HEA.
I really love a good angsty, emotional book. I read Untouchable in a day because I didn’t want to get out of the bubble that Danielle Hill had me stuck in. I can’t believe this was her first book?! Great writing. I loved both Riley and Reno (Maddox) so much, their story was beautiful, heartbreaking and at times so frustrating. I wanted to shake Reno so many times but also just give him a big hug and reassure him he deserved good things. Also their friends Lissa and Leon are just the best, everyone needs people like these in their lives, (can not wait to read their story!!) glad I found this book & really look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
This was exactly the book I needed to read. I had just finished a few lighter, cute reads and was ready for some angst. Danielle Hill definitely delivered! I read this in one day, staying up until 2am to finish it. I needed to know how Reno and Riley would finally make their way to happiness. Because there are definitely some bumps along the way. I was barely a few chapters in and I was already fully invested in the characters. There was anger, tears, and laughter as I read R&R’s love story. One of my favorite quotes: — Jase scoffed. “Laundry day? What’s that code for... a spin cycle on Reno’s dick?” Smart-mouthed motherfucker. — I cannot wait for Book 2 of this series. If the chemistry we felt trickle into book 1 is any indication, Leon & Liss’s book will be a much anticipated read!
𝘽𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙪𝙥, this book was unstoppable and is full of angst, lust and a whirlfrickinwind of emotion. Your heart will swoon & break all in the same damn breath.
Maddox ‘Reno’ Renner HOT DAMN it. He is a true alpha, the guy everyone desiresn untouchable and DARN it does he know how to get the heart racing. Reno has left me in swoonworthy territory! 🥵
Riley Mason is a little firecracker underneath the front of pure SASS - urgh i ADORE her! Her upbringing frames her mindset and thoughts but which girl isn't protecting their heart.
Both Reno & Riley's chemistry is intoxicating and instantly draws you in. But in the same breath will leave your heart wrenching!
This book was amazing! And the fact that it's her debut novel!! This book is going to leave me with a huge book hangover!!! I laughed, I cried, I wanted to throttle Ren so many times! There was so much tragedy in this book! I felt for Ren and Riley so much!! Add in the secondary characters and this book was AMAZING!!!
I finished this book for one reason and one reason only: to make sure when I gave it a 1-star rating, I’d feel validated in my opinion. First: I for some reason was under the impression this book encompasses more than high school. Everyone was SO YOUNG. Second: Reno is straight up not a good person. I’ve legitimately read bully romances where they’ve done some fucked up things to the heroine and STILL been able to forgive them, but the entire time I wanted Riley to leave him. She deserved SO much better than him. He slept around on her, had her dangling by a thread of hope while he fucked around, and then when push came to shove he literally kissed another girl (which he claims he never did before her) and somehow I’m supposed to believe he loves her? Really? I wanted Riley to sleep with every single guy she met. I hoped he’d be miserable purely because of how much he hurt her over and over. And yeah he was grieving, but why the fuck did everyone just give him a free pass for basically a year? “oh it’s fine, I understand that you took my virginity without a condom and so drunk you didn’t even look at me, I know it was grief” “I'm sorry you lost your family, of course you can go to a club and maybe hookup with someone" "I'll happily just be your FWB and break my heart while you grieve" "I should definitely give up my entire future because you're sad" It has been a while since a book made me so mad, but I've definitely added this author to my DNR list.

What an emotional roller coaster of feelings!! Reno and Riley love each other so fiercely and the things life throws at them is heartbreaking! Untouchable is so well written I couldn’t believe this was a debut book. We’ve got kick ass side characters that are so fun! Lots and lots of witty banter that’s actually really funny and not cheesy trying to hard kind of banter. A lots of great dialogue and few streamy moments. My one negative was that I felt the inner monologue started to feel repetitive and that’s what dragged my rating down some. I just really felt this story portrayed what these young adults were dealing with and how like most of us at that age we don’t always respond logically because we’re ruled by intense feelings and scared sh*tless what’s coming after high school. I LOVED Riley’s mom I really did she loved Riley soo much but she also let her just... be. I am definitely invested in this series and FYI I am NOT a series reader I prefer stand-alone books but this group of characters has grabbed my attention and I NEED to know more about them.
Untouchable is the debut novel from Danielle and my god, it is one hell of a ride. There were so many bombshells throughout this book that I felt like I was constantly sat staring at my kindle like '𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵!!'.
Riley, is definitely someone I think a lot of us will be able to relate too. She's smart, sassy but also very vulnerable and petrified of her feelings for Maddox. Maddox or Reno as he's mostly gone by in the book, nearly loses his best friend over Riley, and then when he does finally get her - his world falls apart.
There was a lot of times where if Reno was real, I would of gladly slapped him on behalf of Riley. That being sad, I think it really shows how great a book is if you really feel for the characters you're reading about. And I definitely did in this one.
If you love angsty, heartbreaking books (𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘦, 𝘐 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘵 𝘮 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘰𝘤𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘩 𝘙𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘢𝘥𝘥𝘰𝘹), then this one you'll definitely love! Oh, and don't worry there's some very steamy scenes thrown in too ;)
What a roller coaster of emotions reading this book. WOW! Unable to put the book down, it will have caused me a few sleepless nights. 😊
From the first pages I was undeniably drawn to Maddox ‘Reno’. I understand why Riley can't take his eyes off him.
I love the relationship between the two characters, a mouse hunting game. Reno who on his side tries to destabilize Riley as much as he can and Riley who tries to deny to herself her own feelings.
I was heartbroken on some occasion during my reading. Some part of the book took my breath away, it was so heartbreaking. Throughout my reading, I hoped for the characters a bit of happiness in their relationship, because they so deserved it with everything that had happened.
Read on to the end because you are not going to be disappointed but don't sit too comfortably on your couch, because lots of bombshells is coming in this book.
Reno and Riley's story is just incredible and words cant describe the journey they go on alone and together.
This book is incredible and if you haven't read it you need to. You are captivated from the very first page and your eyes will not want to leave even after the final page is done. There are soo many twists and turns none of which you expect. Your heart will break so make sure you have your tissues at the ready not only that but you will feel such passion and love and adoration throughout its untrue. Every emotion you can think of you will feel throughout this book and words just don't do it justice for how good it is and if I could give it more than 5💋 I would.
Now onto book 2 for Liss and Leon's story, I can not wait!!!!

My Overall Rating 5 💋💋💋💋💋 My Passion Rating 5 💋💋💋💋💋
I think if I was much younger with limited to no experience when it comes to relationships, I might have enjoyed this more. Since that's not me, I struggled with this book - especially with the hero's "reasons" and the heroine's behaviour/reactions. In fact, the one character I thought actually had a personality was Raya, the other girl who is supposed to be a bitch but I didn't see her that way at all. I wouldn't mind at all if she ended up moving away and started over, finding a guy who was worth it :)
Wow. I loved the story. Riley and Reno were two complicated characters. From beginning to end I couldn't put the book down. A story of the dreaded high school days... the playground of all things mean, nasty, and truly awful. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to give advice, lol. These two characters ultimately touched my heart. If you love strong characters, heartbreak, and deep emotions ... then Riley and Reno will take you for a ride you won't soon forget.
This was the final book in author Danielle Hill Untouchable series. Great love story, completing the series. I love Danny and I wish there were more young men like him. He was smitten right from the first meeting of Nova. They both went through such relatable issues.
If you want to read a great love story, this book is for you. Danielle did not disappoint.
Bully romance turned lovers tragically torn apart by internal/external forces. I enjoyed the story but felt some of the depth was lacking. Some of the tragic stuff was dealt with better than others. I liked that this wasn’t typical trope of rich guy & trailer park girl, or parents were nowhere to be seen. It’s worth a read.
These high school kids really went through some sh! It was almost too much drama for me. I mean these kids couldn't catch a break! I was sure there wouldn't be a HEA. (Don't worry... there is.)
The writing was good with few typos (for people like me, that's important!). I read it in one day... I couldn't put it down.
This book felt so real. Life is uncertain, and people make mistakes, but our characters just had to figure it out. A solid book with a believable story and great emotion, get the tissues handy and read this book.
Why cannot I find this book on any online platform or store? Lucky for me I still had an ARC from back in the day (a whole four years ago), and I still love it now as much as when I first read it! I would have loved to have been able to re-read the whole series but since I don't have them all as ARCs I can't. Danielle HillDanielle Hill, could you help a sister out at all, please?
