A must-have for modern-day Druids, shamans, hedge witches, and anyone who loves trees, earth magic, and the mystical side of this world. What connects the World Tree, the Tree of Life, the axis mundi, and the interdimensional portals into other realms of existence? How do we work with our own Tree of Life in the complexity of the World Tree of Life? And how do magic staffs relate to all of this? This book not only explores the mythological and philosophical background of tree magic but also offers new, intriguing insights into this fascinating topic. In the first part of the book, we learn about the mystery behind the World Tree of Life, tree deities, magical tree animals, the importance of trees in natural cycles, and even our tree ancestry. The answer may lie in the electromagnetic field – the self-sustaining and self-rejuvenating divine quality we were all born with. In the second part, the practical side of tree magic is addressed. We learn about our Tree of Life, tree symbols, tree staffs, and shamanic journeying. The author, who herself practices tree magic, bases her findings on copious research but also draws from her own experiences. The third part is a practical guide to individual tree species and their magical lore.

If you ever wondered why the ancients placed such importance in trees and their connection to the spirit world, “Tree Magic” is the perfect book for you. In it, you will learn the meaning each ancient culture placed in trees and what trees signified for them. You will learn about druids and Germanic tribes, of the Shamans and magnetic fields of the earth, and how they influence our own aura; you will discover the healing properties of certain trees and learn how to make friends with them and also, how to create staffs and wands. If you want to enrich your spiritual world and better understand the nature around you, this book is a perfect choice for you. Enlightening and truly fascinating!
I'm always excited to read another one of this author's books. They are filled with fascinating information, much of which you won't find elsewhere, because the author gives you an insight into her own experiences. I thought this book would only discuss the Word Tree, which is found in the mythology of cultures across the globe. But, there's so much more to it than that. You'll learn about the significance of many types of trees, and also how you can acquire your own "tree magic." A great resource for the nature enthusiast, and anyone (like me) who researches other cultures. Definitely worth your time to pick up a copy.
Another entertaining reference for my growing magic library. I love the ancient references and origins, along with an in-depth listing of the various uses of trees and shrubs in teas and potions. My favorite chapters however, were those addressing personal staffs and the various treatments to preserve and reverence. My son gifted me with a staff just last year which might not be appropriate according to Tree Magic because it’s rather light weight and bleached. However, being a person of the sea as I am, my son knows me. He found it on California’s Lost Coast, a piece of nearly straight driftwood that speaks to my soul. I’m prepping it with grape seed oil and have made a dangle of beads and Peregrine Falcon feathers gathered from outside my home. Thanks Iva.
I love learning about myths, legends, and lore. It's fascinating. This is my first time reading up on Tree magic. There is a whole lot more, too. Runes and staffs and wands - how to and wood from which type of tree. I loved it! I'll be keeping this one to read again!
