Sarah is an author and yoga teacher based in Bath, UK (Once named after a goddess: the ancient Roman town of Aquae Sulis). Her background is in Science; she holds an MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience and has studied at Bath, Exeter and Harvard University. But her love of myth, magic and folklore shines through all of her writing!

I have been referencing this book over and over again for yin yoga sequences. I love that the author took time to dive into Taoism and the philosophy’s behind yin. I learned a lot and it has sparked my interest in learning more about meridians in the body.
This book explored so many great concepts and I loved how she weaves them all together making connections. This is a book I plan to buy hard copy though because it feels like a valuable resource more than just reading material. I want to re read and have access to the exercises regularly. It has made me slow down, especially during this winter time and simply appreciate the slow season.
I really enjoyed reading this. Robinson shares with readers, as she says in the conclusion, the how and why to be still. I am a certified 600 hour yoga instructor and even though I already had learned most of the materials when I studied yoga in school, it was still very informative and the information that the author shares is in line with what I learned in my training. She takes a gentle approach and obviously lovingly crafted this book. The magic side of it is a unique way of looking at it that I don't often see and I really liked that. There's all sorts of goodies in between the pages of this book. A must read for those looking for stillness and/or yoga incorporated into their Craft.
I loved this book! The author's tone is very gentle and explanatory through the many things she covers, and every subject is relative to the next without ever becoming redundant or confusing. The illustrations of yoga poses are easy to understand, as well as the reasons as to why they are utilized. I especially loved the interwoven spiritual concepts in each section. This book would appeal to those who need to learn how to live in the moment, and enjoy the peace around them that might be missing otherwise.
The undeniable connection between physical movement and spiritual wellness is something that led me to this book. I read the first book, Yoga for Witches, and wanted more. If for nothing else, chapter 5 made this book worth the purchase. This is another vital step in my spiritual journey. Would recommend.
A timely and helpful read. Yin Magic is “medicine” for our times. I love how Sarah blends together yoga with magic with psychology/self-reflection. It is a nourishing, intentional, multilayered approach to mindful life and movement.
