We all know how fundamental breathing is, not just to staying alive, but also to the quality of our lives. But I wonder how many of us realize that the way we breathe is critical to so many more aspects that make life worth living. It certainly never occurred to me, until I read Anders Olsson’s book, that something as simple and natural as breathing could influence the way we look by affecting the way our facial bones develop. Or that breathing through the nose could boost one’s libido, ease bodily aches and pains, and even help us lose weight!
Breathing properly is something that is we all can learn to do. When one considers how much the average person spends these days on improving their looks, boosting their sex lives, and/or losing weight in order to look and feel good, I’m shocked that more of us don’t know about this powerful, easy and free solution to living a longer, healthier, pain-free life. The Power of Your Breath should be required reading for every parent and every child.
